Guest Fook Report post Posted January 29, 2006 Does Galaxy Quest count as a bad movie? Because it was a lot better than it had any right to be.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 I really enjoyed Galaxy Quest when I saw it. I came in with low expectations cause the only reasons I was seeing it was because the screening of Toy Story 2 was sold out. After I saw both movies, I liked Galaxy Quest as much if not a bit more than Toy Story 2. A Tim Allen film that was a big flop that I really enjoyed was Big Trouble. I thought it was a really fun action comedy with a great cast.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 American Ninja 4 which was on Spike tv earlier today. This movie is a clusterfuck full of cliches from the time period: there is the evil middle eastern dictator who says "Allah" everytime he speaks, there is the crazy british bad guy that says "Bloody hell" everytime something goes wrong, the ninja leader wears an eye patch and ninja foot soldiers are color coded due to rank or something. And the big climax at the end of the movies has ninjas vs mad max extras armed with big guns....from Ollie North. This movie is at the bottom of the barrel of 80's-90's war b-movie genre which would include classics like Commando, Missing in Action, Delta Force, Navy Seals. Good choice. That film teamed up Michael Dudikoff from American Ninja 1 & 2 and the inferior David Bradley from American Ninja 3. You know, actually, you could list all the American Ninja films in this thread. Come to think of it, you could probably list every Michael Dudikoff film in this thread. He had a ton of so-bad-it's-good 80s action flicks.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 The only good Michael Dudikoff movies are American Ninja and Ringmaster.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 Michael Dudikoff's greatest accomplishment besides American Ninja was Avenging Force. I want that movie on DVd badly. And Vyce's status just shot up for knowing the background of the American Ninja movies.
Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 Army of Darkness. The movie is terrible but it's a cult classic because it's got a lot of great one-liners. Admittedly, it wasn't supposed to be good because it was basically a parody of Evil Dead which seemed to have been unintentionally funny due to how bad it was. Actually, I guess I should say Evil Dead then. Sam Raimi's smooth exciting and often innovative camera work in the first Evil Dead is better than most movie's with ten times the budget. Not a bad movie.
Dimensions 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 I just this movie last night, When the Bullet Hits the Bone. Horrible, horrible movie from 1995 but it was really the definition of so bad it's good. You can't help but bust out laughing at the errors in dialogue and pretty bad acting and extremely cheesy violence scenes. Watch. I saw it last night on Showtime and if you're (un)lucky enough, you should watch it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114918/

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 you know, Navy Seals was actually pretty decent. Another crappy Michael Dudikoff movie I enjoyed was Soldier Boyz, even though its premise is completely ridiculous.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 you know, Navy Seals was actually pretty decent. He took all the delinquents on a mission to get some guys daughter back, IIRC. I remember the big pyscho black dude and the Spanish girl that hated each other, but then the dude got killed and she was all heartbroken over it.

I saw that movie ONCE, and only once, and that was probably.....Jesus, it had to have been over 16 years ago, at least. But I remember thinking it was awesome as a kid. I've been looking for it on video tape for a long time. I'd definitely buy that DVD. I remember Soldier Boyz too. BL is right, it's a ridiculous movie, but I would be lying if I didn't freely admit I'd buy that on DVD in a heartbeat too.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 the acting was horrible, the notion that the government could actually take teenagers (they were all "teenagers" correct?) into a mission of that nature is out of this world wacky, the goofyness of said teenagers being skilled enough to defeat a trained, battle hardened army...but I'll be damned if it wasn't fun in a popcorn movie sort of way...plus it had Cary whatshisname in it (dude that played Shang Tsung) as the main villian, can't go wrong with that! Guest Ransome Report post Posted January 30, 2006 Casino Royale (1967) is a complete mess, and the majority of the film is painfully unfunny (with the exception of the Woody Allen scenes, which are great), but there's definitely some amusement to be found with the awesome cast and Bacharach's 'swinging 60s' score. I realise that Peter Sellers' walk-out halfway through filming must have created a lot of problems, but it's unbelievable that such a huge array of talent could churn out such a terrible film.
