Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2006 yeah, I'd say JBL has been a good little boy for the past almost year now...I mean, he agreed to get squashed by a cartoon character at the WWE's 3rd biggest PPV of the year after like a month long buildup. Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2006 I found this on another board. Meltzer on the LAW: Boogeyman winning is a sign of the '80s cartoon gimmick coming back. a "Fidel Castro" gimmick, and a "Brother Love incarnate" gimmick. Actually this has sort of been done before. Anyone remember during the dyng days of WCW when they had the Cuban wrestler Fidel Sierra? He came our to the ring with the Cuban flag and spoke with an accent. Vyce 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 What we really need at WM is a 4 way match between HHH, Taker, JBL, and Hogan just to see who the king of politics really is in the WWE. I mean, can you imagine them going over the match beforehand? Taker: I'm not jobbing... HHH: I'M NOT JOBBING! Hogan: Brother, there is no way in hell that I'm... JBL: I don't care about winning but I won't be the won't who'll get pinned! Taker: I'm not feeling that... HHH: JBL, you can't even work WWE Style! Hogan: I'm going over brother! Taker: Nope, I'm not feeling that. My god. Pretty good, but you forgot the part where Hogan reminds everyone that he is contractually obligated to be the highest paid worker on the card. They'll just hire jobbing specialist Mick Foley to come in and lay down for all four guys, and then pop back up to shill Mick Foley brand Enema Bags or whatever before disappearing until the next time someone needs a jobber, or Foley needs publicity. Eh, couldn't have just 5 guys. Need to have it so you could have three crappy one-on-one brawls going on at one time. Actually, it'll be booked as a 6 pack match, but Austin will walk out 5 days before the match.

Because he wasn't openly fucking Stephanie yet? Because he gets to say he did a clean job on the biggest show of all time and it just happens to be to someone already at his level and not a threat to his spot. Because he wasn't openly fucking Stephanie yet? Because he gets to say he did a clean job on the biggest show of all time and it just happens to be to someone already at his level and not a threat to his spot. At the same time, wasn't it being reported that that miserable Raw Taker match after Summerslam 02 basically happened so HHH could get his win back?
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 I'm pretty sure it was to build up HHH's credibility as a legitimate champion since they were finalizing the brand split, and Smackdown was getting the real WWE Champion. At least if HHH wins a #1 contender's match, they can say that Brock Lesnar refused to defend the title against the top challenger and give the Raw World title some justification for existing. JN News 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Credit: PWInsider, Wrestling Observer -- There are some people backstage who are upset at Triple H because he was pushing for Edge to lose the title to Cena at Royal Rumble to line himself up for a title match with Cena at WrestleMania. Many people thought that Edge was doing very well as champion and had managed to get himself over with the fans.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 next verse, same as the first...how many title reigns does he have left to surpass Flair? 6 or 7? ugh...pray for a muscle tear. I don't wish for ailments on people usually, but that's the only thing that's gonna slow Jesus down.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted February 6, 2006 HHH should have handled this differently... He should have won the title at EC. Then, Edge could have used MITB and got the bullshit win. Then, HHH could have won the title back on the next Raw. That's how you quickly build up the title reigns. And believably make Edge look like a pussy heel, and HHH look more unnecessarily stronger. hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 So when he wins, who's he gonna feud with? Cena? I doubt HHH will let Cena make any sort of raps that are remotely funny. It'll hurt HHH's image.

It'll hurt HHH's image. the usual, they'll have a rematch at the next Raw PPV won by HHH, then the next guy will be fed to him to destroy...I'm still thinking Rey's coming over to Raw at some point, that would not surprise me in the least. Anyone else think we're about to hit a stretch that could possibly be worse than the farce known as 2002-2003?

Hoff 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Yeah, '02 had a lot of fuck-ups...Jericho playing second fiddle, HHH being inflated, RVD's burial, the creation of a second World Title...but at least we didn't have Zach Gowen, Kevin Nash, or Goldberg running around in main events.
