MillenniumMan831 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I'm shocked that more people aren't commenting on the fact that Johnny Ace was using a worker's funeral to scout for talent. Harharhahaha . . . Get it? *wink*
Danville_Wrestling Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 So could we potentially see a WrestleMania where the heels win ALL three big matches? I mean we could be seeing Orton go over Angle for the title, HHH burying Cena, and then see Vince beat HBK. Seriously, are they TRYING to go out of business?
Dangerous A Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I think Shawn's WM match will be handicap with Vince and Shane vs HBK so Shane can do most of the work while Vince will just do a handful of spots so he can get his mug on TV. I just don't think that a 60 year old man (even one as fit as Vince) only a year removed from tearing both quads is going to have a passable singles match.
Vern Gagne Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 What about making it Michaels/Hogan vs Shane/Vince?
Hawk 34 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 What about making it Michaels/Hogan vs Shane/Vince? You really think, after months of bitching, that Shawn would allow Hogan to take his spotlight away?
Dangerous A Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Hogan is still steamed about Michaels post Summerslam behavior and Michaels is still peeved Hogan didn't want to do an extended program where Hogan would have to, gasp, job. I still think Hogan will find a way onto this show, just not in Shawn and Vince's match.

I mean we could be seeing Orton go over Angle for the title, HHH burying Cena, and then see Vince beat HBK. Seriously, are they TRYING to go out of business? No way!!!! I mean next year they are planning a 20th anniversary of the biggest WrestleMania of all-time at Ford Field in Detroit. Expect things to sky rocket after Mania with HHH and Orton as champions. I think they'll book another Hogan/Austin match and Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement feud next year without actually getting them to agree to these matches. I mean what other match can they do that can actually be tagged along the same line as 20 years ago in Hogan/Andre and Steamboat/Savage. Going out of business? No way dude Think about that in the other thread asking if the wwe will ever get back to its glory days. It will happen in the next few months. BTW, WM 2 was seen as a disaster from a creative standpoint in Chicago along with WM 13 in Chicago. A year later for both situations the wwe pulled off some of the biggest mainstream events in history, so the wwe could be doing this on purpose*or just got dumb luck* pick a choice.
Vern Gagne Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Probaly not. It is a rather weak spotlight for Michaels especially for Wrestlemania.
haVoc Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Still no word on what they're planning for Rey at WM?

That would be stupid, but you never know. I do know next time Wrestlemania is being slated as in Chicago not to get my hopes up.
Dangerous A Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Still no word on what they're planning for Rey at WM? From sites, no. I wouldn't doubt that they go with Rey vs Benoit in an Eddie exploita...er...memorial match of some sort since they don't know what to do with 2 of their top 5 workers.

Art Sandusky Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Now waitasec... Undertaker and Mark Henry? Goddammit, now the guy's gotta stick around another year so someone else can end the streak. Not Mark Henry, although I wouldn't put it past them to have him be the guy to end it.
SuperJerk Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 WMania plans remain Orton/Angle Edge/Foley Vince/Shawn Cena/HHH Taker/Henry Please note the part about Edge/Foley was posted before last night's show, and the Orton/Angle report has been going around since before last week's Smackdown. Basically, this validates my opinion that Meltzer knows what he's talking about most of the time.

Sometimes things are just obvious, Meltzer was reporting the obvious.

However, I really expect them to do the Eddie exploitation match between Rey and Benoit. They likely know they have nothing worth a shit, so maybe in hopes of giving something good for the fans, they throw them this bone which allows them to do their Eddie exploitation. Booker T Vs Lashley, wouldn't surprise me. Booker has been made to look like a bitch since winning the title (needing someone to substitute for him every week, shortest time in the rumble) and needing his nagging wife to help him. (Yes, I am aware he's injured and they are playing off it very well). The perception is still the same. Having Lashley, squash Booker doesn't seem unrealistic.
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I was happy to read in the very last line of the Observer that Shantelle Taylor was signed to a developmental deal.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 WMania plans remain Vince/Shawn Taker/Henry GOD DAMN IT!!!
CanadianChick Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I was happy to read in the very last line of the Observer that Shantelle Taylor was signed to a developmental deal. Hey, that is good news. She is a good worker from what I've seen of her, and her style fits WWE's perfectly (I don't mean that in a negative way at all either).

I know what you mean and agree completely. She's very similar to a Trish in that she can hit highspots and has some basic mat skills as well, but its't so great that she would be "ruined" by having to work a WWE style. They might have to make her get bigger breasts, though (I'm not saying _I_ agree with that, but that's how things work in the E).
