Guest OKCoyote Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? And he didn't even have to face Taker to do it.
UZI Suicide Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Fuck, they could have at least had a run-in to save SOME face for Rey and give him someone to face at WM. Now he'll be in some lame ass "Eddie tribute match" with Chavo.
Black Lushus Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? that's the way it's sounding to me...unfuckingreal.
Big McLargeHuge Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So, what's the logic in burying Rey, who is a ratings draw, and pushing the heatless wonder? Vince has gone batshit crazy. Just another reason to miss Smackdown.
Repo Man jr Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? He got cheated out of it so they can probably set up a 3 way for the title
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? He lost the match to an injured man, was repeatedly called a loser and idiot who let everyone down by Tazz and Cole, made Vicki cry and nobody in the back would look at him.
BorneAgain Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Even if this does lead to a three way with Angle-Orton-Rey (Not saying that it will, but theoretically) would anyone even care about Mysterio after tonight?
CBright7831 Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So, what's the logic in burying Rey, who is a ratings draw, and pushing the heatless wonder? Vince has gone batshit crazy. Just another reason to miss Smackdown. No, just another reason to miss WWE. Period.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? He lost the match to an injured man, was repeatedly called a loser and idiot who let everyone down by Tazz and Cole, made Vicki cry and nobody in the back would look at him. This is true. And it's even worse than it sounds. It made Rey look VERY fucking bad.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 You knew it was happening... But you figured it would be a little less brutal than that. Damn I was looking forward to this Angle/Taker match, but I'm just kind of defeated right now.
Guest OKCoyote Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Cole and Tazz really called him an idiot?
Repo Man jr Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Even if this does lead to a three way with Angle-Orton-Rey (Not saying that it will, but theoretically) would anyone even care about Mysterio after tonight? No cus they think he might be goin to RAW after the draft
Adam Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? He lost the match to an injured man, was repeatedly called a loser and idiot who let everyone down by Tazz and Cole, made Vicki cry and nobody in the back would look at him. A simple 'yes' would have done.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Cole and Tazz really called him an idiot? i don't think they used the word idiot. But they did repeatedly say rey let everyone down, and they were dissappointed in him.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Cole and Tazz really called him an idiot? They said something along the lines of "he must feel like a fool for putting the shot on the line"
naiwf Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? He lost the match to an injured man, was repeatedly called a loser and idiot who let everyone down by Tazz and Cole, made Vicki cry and nobody in the back would look at him. This is awesome! *clap clap clap clap clap* This is awesome! *clap clap clap clap clap* Granted, it's pretty moronic to put Orton over here and have heels run the table at WM, but Vince and logic went separate ways a long time ago.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Dueling let's go taker/angle chants Taker has control of the match so far.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So Rey effectively got buried? Granted, it's pretty moronic to put Orton over here and have heels run the table at WM, Its moronic to put Orton anywhere near the belt. He's not over, has no charisma, and can't have a good match with anyone not named Benoit or Foley. That was easily the worst major match I've seen Rey Mysterio in since he came to the WWE.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 You know, lost in all this is that this main event is pretty decent, and the rest of the show was pretty good.
Guest OKCoyote Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 They said something along the lines of "he must feel like a fool for putting the shot on the line" I bet he feels like a fool for an entirely different reason.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 benoit/booker is the only thing that was worth a shit tonight, IMO
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Quick results run-down HEAT -Boogeyman d. Simon Dean via Pumphandle Slam - Squash PPV -Helms pinned psicosis to retain his title. Kid Kash hit the Dead Level on Psicosis, Super Crazy made the save, then Helms stole the pin on Psicosis. -JBL d. Lasley via Clothesline from Hell after Finley interference- decent match Batista came out and said he's coming back someday. -Tatanka & Matt Hardy d. MNM after Tatanka hit a Samoan Drop on Mercury.-Non Title. -Chris Benoit d. Booker T via crossface, Benoit new US champ -Randy Orton d. Rey Mysterio via rollup with hand on the ropes- rey was then buried by announcers and wrestlers in the back now ME is going on...slowly
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 benoit/booker is the only thing that was worth a shit tonight, IMO The cruiser match got okay after a while, the Bradshaw match was acceptable, The US title match I thought was very good, tag title match was okay, and this is pretty good.
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Even if this does lead to a three way with Angle-Orton-Rey (Not saying that it will, but theoretically) would anyone even care about Mysterio after tonight? No cus they think he might be goin to RAW after the draft Where HHH wants to work with him, so things aren't exactly looking up for Rey.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 I forgot the JBL match was pretty good.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Taker's giving Angle a bit in this match.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 I have to say, I really like this match.
Carnival Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 haha "I'm beating this motherfucker in the ring" - Angle they tried to censor it. but missed
