alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 Czech put me up to it ESPN.com now has a trade engine where you can test out trades with 2-4 teams. Pretty cool feature, except you can only factor in players and not draft picks and trade exceptions and what not. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine

Fökai 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 This is brilliant. EDIT: Let me clarify further: all of the salaries being readily accessible to a fan is great stuff. You still have to match talent for talent, though.

LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...~12~11~11~13~11 Everyone got better but the Clippers I think the Clippers got better than the Sonics in that one. Giving up Swift, Ridnour, Fortson and Wilkens for just Croshere and Tinsley? I'd say Seattle gets the worst end in that fantasy trade.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 RealGM.com has had a trade checker for a while now, go check it out. I think I like ESPN's better though b/c it tells you the actual salary dollars, whereas RealGM does some kind of salary ratio.

Guest Report post Posted February 20, 2006 That Sonic trade with Swift is brutal. They wouldn't trade their project center to a team that already has one that's probably better and doesn't get any playing time. Outgoing Players: Corey Maggette, Daniel Ewing, Vladimir Radmanovic, Cuttino Mobley Why not just trade the whole fucking roster? Oh yeah, Stern said that the Sonics are on the top of the list of teams likely to be moved. If the arena upgrade doesn't go through, they'll be headed out of town. A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...~22~4~4~4~18~19 I just wanted to make a trade that would make the New York Knicks have even more problems. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 Stern said that the Sonics are on the top of the list of teams likely to be moved. If the arena upgrade doesn't go through, they'll be headed out of town. I'd have to think the Hornets and Magic would be 1 and 2. Man, Stern REALLY wants that Vegas team, doesn't he?
Guest Report post Posted February 20, 2006 He said the Hornets are staying in New Orleans. By this point, I don't get it. Stern said that Seattle's lease puts them at a competitive disadvantage and that it had to be taken care of. The legislature has to approve the arena upgrade, or they're headed out to Oklahoma City, who would be vacated by the Hornets. Orlando was a lost cause from the beginning. Tourist cities like that shouldn't get teams. Vegas might be different, because they have a booming population.

LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 I keep hearing Seattle, but I would really hate to see them leave. Then again, I never really like it when a team just up and moves (except for a team like the Marlins in baseball, seeing their have given their city two World Series rings and still have trouble). I keep having fun with the trade simulator, but I realize I have more fun doing jackass trades than anything realistic: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...~13~13~13~13~
