iggymcfly Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I have to admit, I really like that "Boyfriend" song by Ashlee Simpson. I bump it whenever no one's around. And yes, I'm a 20 year old straight male.
C Dubya 04 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 The song by Hilary Duff that was the theme to Laguna Beach. "Let the rain fall down". Oh, and I guess watching Laguna Beach would fit this category for TV.
Gary Floyd Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Just about anything from Amarie and Ciara that has come out. Britney Spears "Toxic" Several Erasure and Pet Shop Boys songs Sneaker Pimps
The Czech Republic Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I'm so sick of this premise. Eiffel 65, Eminem, A*Teens, blah blah blah
Corey_Lazarus Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 There ain't a damn thing I listen to alone that I wouldn't listen to around other people. Scatman John, Tatu, Republica...they'll get play around my friends likely more than they will with just me by myself.
CanadianGuitarist Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Scatman and Tatu are good ones I wouldnt have thought of. Hall and Oates, Gwen Stefani, Glass Tiger all fit the bill.
iggymcfly Posted March 4, 2006 Author Report Posted March 4, 2006 I'm so sick of this premise. Eiffel 65, Eminem, A*Teens, blah blah blah Didn't mean to be repetitive. I basically made this thread to say I like the Ashlee Simpson song. Figured if I put it in a question it would like I was contributing to the forum instead of sharing random information.
Just John Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed of any of my songs, but some that I like are that traditionally considered uncool: My Happy Ending by Avril Lavigne Like I love you by Justin Timberlake Real Emotion from Final Fantasy X2 Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin
Bruiser Chong Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I like most '80s and early '90s music. Of course, I'm not all that ashamed to admit it; I just never bring it up.
PLAGIARISM! Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Though they're not too awful or anything, I'm kind of ashamed to have Futureheads songs on my computer, and that 'talk talk talk' by the Ordinary Boys.
Annabelle Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I'm so sick of this premise. Eiffel 65, Eminem, A*Teens, blah blah blah i think incandenza said the exact same a few months ago. you sure don't like being yourself or harboring an original thought, do you?
k thx Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 S Club Juniors: New Direction. Fucking great song.
k thx Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I've just heard R Kelly: Trapped In The Closet for the first time. Now that's a fucking guilty pleasure.
Special K Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 The only thing I listen to that I consider even remotely shameful is probably the bubblegum techno. U.S.E, Freezepop, Go! Team, Land of the Loops. But I'm in no way hesitant to admit I listen to them. I will say, even though I don't listen to it, I'm ashamed to say that I pretty much know the lyrics to the Buffy musical.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 I own every Type O Negative album, a couple imports, and Carnivore.
CanadianGuitarist Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 I can still sing all of S Club Party word for word. Call my bluff. Anyone.
Corey_Lazarus Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 ...how is Type O a guilty pleasure? Carnivore too, for that matter.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 ...how is Type O a guilty pleasure? Carnivore too, for that matter. They're not in small doses. However, their entire material is aped sabbath and beatles stuff.
C Dubya 04 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I've just heard R Kelly: Trapped In The Closet for the first time. Now that's a fucking guilty pleasure. You really should see the long form video of it. It's beyond good. Especially if you get the dvd with R providing commentary about what's happening. "Now, I'm trapped in the closet".
Black Lushus Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Kelly Clarkson's second CD is pretty decent, not afraid to admit it.
Carnival Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I bought Nelly Furtado "Whoa Nelly" legit. I also bought Justin Timberlake "Justified".
nl5xsk1 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I like a lot of bad music, but I don't feel guilty about any of it. I have no problems popping on Avril Lavigne at the jukebox at the bar, or Depeche Mode or anything "embarrassing" at all. I even admit to liking Prussia Blue.
Carnival Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I've been known to enjoy some Avril songs. Even some Michelle Branch.
Black Lushus Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 the only Avril song I can listen to is "I'm With You"
Carnival Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 "I'm with you" was the first avril song i liked. I now like "nobody's home" "happy ending" "losing my grip"...maybe some others i'm forgetting.
nl5xsk1 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Those are all very good Avril songs. I'm probably one of the few hetero, single males that's over the age of 30 and yet has downloaded all of her albums & also has "My Happy Ending" as a ring tone. niskie loves avril.
