The Womans match was about as good as could be expected, which is to say it sucked. That botched ending was hysterical.

I was preoccopied with beer or something so my legally blind friend had to tell me how the match ended.....now that is hysterical.

 

WTF? That was probably the MOTN, if not second match of the night after the Hardcore match.

 

It, in no way sucked.

 

 

I did like the fact that after she botched the Stratusfaction, she didn't try to do it over, she went with a chick kick...I always hate it when a move gets botched and they try to redo the same move..which usually happens when its the move that ends the match..

For what it's worth, I thought HHH should've won.

 

They want Cena to be a major player in WWE, and the way the are promoting him it is not going to work how they want. I do not believe that Cena will be the type of face they want any time soon. I don't think he'll be able to be the major type of face until he has been around for a very long time, like HHH.

 

Cena is a natural heel. Any of you who have seen his old work knows exactly what I'm talking about. They should have had Cena lose to HHH tonight, and while HHH was celebrating they could have shown Cena in the corner crying while getting more and more upset, leading to him throwing a huge fit, but not attacking HHH. The next night on RAW they could have him play the full blown heel, or slowly let it evolve more and more over the next month. His next few could have been against a different face, while HHH moved on to defend against someone else, while still being a heel.

 

I do think that Cena can be a major player, but it wont be as a face like they seem to want so badly. Let him loose as the natural heel asshole that he is, and the fans would go apeshit over people kicking his ass, and hating when he actually wins. The fans want to hate him, they love to hate him, now just let them do it fully.

 

HHH could have defended against a few people between now and ONS, then on that PPV he could drop it to RVD, leading to Cena finally getting a shot at RVD later this year. The fans would be so behind RVD and against the heel Cena.

 

Eh, it makes sense to me at least.

Who plays the "Psycho" part better. Mickie or VIctoria in her first incarnation? Psycho girls are the only characters that make the women's division worth watching.

The Trish/Mickie James match was good. Yeah it had a botched ending, but that doesn't ruin the entire match. I think it is good that finally WWE has found a new female that can work a match, has a compelling enough character to get over, and for the love of gawd does not have the typical look of a WWE Diva.

 

I just hope they don't go and jump the shark and turn her face and ruin everything.

 

Mickie could easily keep this character going by becoming infatuated with someone else or just get mad at because she is a "psycho" Mickie excelled where Victoria failed playing the psycho character because the brunt of Victoria's charatcer was "ooh look at me, I pull my hair out I am sooooooooo insane" while Mickie actually has character to her, because she can play a sweet innocent chick that can immediately turn crazy.

Lashley and Finlay had a issue going...so what does Lashley do? He attacked someone else to start. Finlay took it to him, and after a few seconds, Lashley walked away from him. Not good psychology IMO

 

We figured Trish got boo'd for not going lesbian. We young men are conditioned to think hot lesbians>pretensious 30 something hotties

Orton, was a pretty decent heel tonight. Angle, was a complete bad-ass, which the crowd was very responsive too, so they put over the guy the fans were booing and the guy who has looked like a joke the last 6 weeks.

Overall, not the best WM, but certainly not the worst. I'd easily put it above XVI or X8.

 

I thought HBK's promo right after the tag title match was actually pretty good. He said that he wouldn't be down on his knees, looking to the heavens praying, but Vince would be... so he then does his usual get down on his knees / look to the heavens firework pose during his entrance.

 

At first I was unsure on whether or not I actually saw Hardcore Holly's portrait, but reading the thread proves he was up there. I think I saw Snitsky, too. But here's the question... in the pic of the entrance set a few posts up, is that second portrait from the left Rob Conway?

Ok, psycho chick. The acting is so bad. To be fair I've seen part of one segment of this story, but it was enough. Awful, just like Victoria was. I don't know how anyone can stand that kind of story/acting.

The only "big time" entances that matter are the PPV ones by Undertaker or WCW Goldberg.
