Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2006 What in God's name possessed WWE to even think about signing this guy? All I could think about last night was, "El Gigante! That's El Gigante!" Why? Because when Vince sees a guy over 6'8/260, he blows a load in his pants. Did Singh go to the Three Stooges School of Professional Wrestling, because that Baba chop looked like Shemp trained him. tekcop 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2006 Singh could be good for the WWE. I work with a couple of uber marks. One of them is in his 40's and has been watching wrestling since he was a little kid. He's been pretty bored with WWE for a while (only ordering the big PPV's and one's that really interest him) and doesn't care much for TNA. Today, he was the most excited I've seen him be about wrestling since... well, ever. He was just marking the fuck out over Singh's beatdown on Taker.
evilhomer 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 I think it boils down to the WWE always making size mean everything. Andre used to do headbutts very similar and guys would sell it like they got hit by a train. Thing is Taker has a long history of no selling moves by guys who are HIS size. You would think he wouldn't sell the headbutt like he was Funaki. For all of the times for Taker to sell a move like it was death, the CHOP was not one of them. It was his debut and he is a monster, it would be completely ridiculous to have his moves no sold. Booking 101, make the heel look like he can take the face out. No selling his moves right would put his career death on an even faster track. Of course, not that that would have been a bad thing.
randomguy 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 That Japan match was horrible, I loved how Singh had that guy up on his shoulder and it took him 30 seconds to position him while the guy's arm kept flopping into his face. He might be good as a one-time fued, let him hang around for 6 months then phase him out. When the novelty wears off he'll have nothing left. Essentially the same thing with Mark Henry. He comes back, it's novel, then everyone slowly realizes yeah his matches suck.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 This is what Dave Meltzer had to say about Singh on tonight's edition of Live Audio Wrestling: I don't think they'll be able to do anything with Giant Singh. I tell you, I saw him work in Japan. They trained the hell out of him, and he was just awful. The best way to explain this? Giant Gonzales was way better than him. He's basically just around to waste more of Undertaker's time again. He's terrible. That chop he did to the top Undertaker's head? It was like 1977 Andre the Giant. No Singh is not good for the WWE and he's not good for the wrestling buissness either and educate your friend on wrestling and show him the light because the buissness does not need more fans like your friend who mark out for a guy who used a tomahawk chap and isn't even indian. tekcop 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Scroby is dumb. The world needs more marks and less of us. The man I was speaking of has been watching wrestling for 30 plus years and is very hard to please nowdays. For the first time in a long time, WWE did something that excited him. What's wrong with that?
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 The tomahawk chop was the funniest thing in the company all year. 'Good' or 'bad', it made me laugh and that's about all 90% of the WWE is good for doing right now, so what the hell, it works for me.
notJames 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Holy shit. I just saw the video, and boy howdy does this guy suck! Everything he did was so unbelieveable, and not in the good way. haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 I was unaware that turnbuckle pads are filled with packing peanuts. I can't help but mark out like a kid for the big lug though. If he can string-together a somewhat watchable match, his appearance alone will take him far. Hopefully while he was training in Deep-South he was schooled somewhat so that if he is placed in a tag match, he won't try pinning the wrong guy. What finisher do you think WWE has assigned to the guy? I'm going to throw a guess at a powerbomb of sorts. Maybe since he's feuding with Undertaker he will use a variation of the Last Ride. I'll give him a chance before I pass judgement.

The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 His finisher should be THE CHOP
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted April 10, 2006 He should use the Iron Claw. I share this suggestion. I miss that move. I'd also like if he'd copy my finishing move. Some type of powerbomb, throwing opponent outside the ring. Countout win, while his opponent is dead. Singh could easily do this, since he'll probably be forced to squash some of the internet show little flippy guys early on.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 The WWE style can probrably hide a lot of Singh's natural shittiness. However, he should NEVER do any form of powerbomb type maneuvers. I've seen him damn near kill many a man in NJPW rings trying to do a powerbomb. He flat out isn't going to get that. Just see if he can get the basics like worked punches and kicks down. If he can get that, then perhaps a throw or two.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted April 10, 2006 He did kill some guy by doing repeated flapjacks. That's different... but, yeah, I can definitely see not taking many risks with Singh. Maybe he could just do one of the many slam variations like there.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Scroby, you are the most boring fucker I've ever read. So what if someone enjoys something - DEAL WIHT IT LOLZ> Wait who are you? So I heard some Dalip stories today while hanging out with a few people who worked with him in APW. The one that stuck out the most and was pretty damn funny was when he was cutting a taped promo. It was told to me like this. Dalip: I'm going to Kill you I'm going to kill you (points at camera) Then I'm going to fuck you (makes humping motion) (End of promo)
Jingus 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 I'm pretty sure it was a flapjack. The scary thing about Singh is that he's been wrestling for almost six years. To put in in perspective, he's been wrestling almost as long as guys like Orton. He's not just some random big musclehead that they brought in off the street. He's an experienced veteran, and he STILL sucks that bad.
