Robert Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Brace yourself for the scond crew of the MNF double-header: Greenberg, Golic, Ditka. I will watch that game with mute on.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Brace yourself for the scond crew of the MNF double-header: Greenberg, Golic, Ditka. I will watch that game with mute on. ESPN makes me hate the NFL more and more with each passing day.
Guest Smues Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 I wonder how much of that broadcast will be Golic bitching that Kornheiser got the job over him.
Cheech Tremendous Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Bill Simmons is developing a creepy infatuation with Kevin Durant.
sfaJack Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 True. I'm sick of him writing about nothing but the NBA or Vegas trips with his college buddies to begin with, but can you imagine how bad he would be with the Durant stuff if the Celtics had gotten the #1 or 2 pick? Frightening.
MFer Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 What I wanna know is....what's the deal with these baseball commentators referring to certain players as "former Met great Kaz Matsui" or "former Dodger great Paul Lo Duca?" Is this supposed to be some type of inside joke? And now we have "former Phillie great Marlon Byrd" and "former Yankee great Shawn Chacon."
Guest Smues Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 I clicked a link in another thread to an ESPN.com story, and after the story loaded but before I could read it the sportscenter "dododo, dododo" played and a Barry Bonds tracker thing popped up over the article. I DON'T CARE ESPN, I DON'T CARE. At least all the TV nonsense is one thing, since it's quite possible many people do care, but on the fucking website if I care I can easily find that information without it just popping up on every damn page.
Smartly Pretty Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Hey, now. What's wrong with Greenberg and Golic?
Guest Smues Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Remember: What makes them different makes them great!
Timmy8271 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Mike and Mike is the only show I can listen to on ESPN Radio. The other shows are utter shit.
Vampiro69 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 ESPN does provide us with alot of crap, however they have given us the excellent Erin Andrews.
Craig Th Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 I don't mind Max Kellerman on ESPN radio, but maybe that is because the Yankees are sucking so it's nice to hear him bitch.
strummer Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 My cable company has dropped ESPN Classics. Two or three years ago I would have been pissed. Now? I could care less. OMG no more antique car shows or WSOP!
KingPK Posted June 26, 2007 Author Report Posted June 26, 2007 Mine moved it into the 200s with all the other digital cable sports networks. It's basically the cars, poker, Stump the Blob, American Gladiators and the occasional classic baseball game or boxing match.
Timmy8271 Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 Is it evil for me to really really hate "My Wish"? Not that the kids are seeing sports starts but that ESPN has that douche from MTV covering it. His voice is almost as bad as Tom Rhanaldi's.
Mik Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Uncle Woody is being sued for sexual harrassment. Oops. Guess she wasn't a Woody Paige ninja.
cabbageboy Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Is this why Woody mentioned not being on ATH anymore on Tuesday's show? I thought he was just kidding around.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Makeup artist on Cold Pizza. Jay Crawford is also in the sexual harassment suit.
MrRant Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Ahh, found it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/more...t.ap/index.html Ragone said Paige once grabbed her backside so forcefully, she was "propelled forward and into the air."
Boon Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I'm sure it's been mentioned here, but Bill Simmons might just be the worst columnist ever.
Mik Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Bull. I hate this Simmons backlash that jealous bloggers are all about these days. I just read his draft diary and legit LOLed twice (Yi shoveling snow joke and the Sean williams 3 doritos bag joke). There's twice more then I can say for ANY other columnist on ESPN.com. Granted, he's a little stale these days but he's still the best out there.
bob_barron Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 It bothers me that he never diaries the second round. I watch it, why can't he?
Cheech Tremendous Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I'm sure it's been mentioned here, but Bill Simmons might just be the worst columnist ever. Stupid. Bill Simmons is the best thing going on the espn website. He's little overexposed and the columns haven't been the same since the wife and baby, but he still brings it every once in a while. His NBA columns are great.
