Ok this is a strange question. On the price is right wasn't/ isn't there a game that Bob use to say if it was either played wrong or something like that it would take 48 hours or so to play the game again. I t was a joke but i swear there was a game that he said that about. Oh the silly conversations you can get into when bored at work

That would be the Range game. If you mistakingly started it, you'd have to wait 48 hours to start it up again. Follow up question: How did that running joke start? I've never seen an episode with that game where it wasn't mentioned.

Where the fuck is Jill Valentine though?

Sienna Guillory did not reprise her role in Resident Evil: Extinction. During the film's pre-production stage, Guillory had confirmed in an interview with Empire magazine that she was given an offer but couldn't accept due to scheduling conflicts with Eragon.[5]

In the novelization of the film, however, it is revealed that she separated to draw off the FBI and managed to get them to accept the truth with Terri's videotape detailing the Raccoon City outbreak. She later meets up with Carlos but takes off again saying she no longer is going to be a part of the group. Later, she leads a group of people to supplies in Baltimore, and eventually becomes the leader of over a hundred survivors.

Interesting side bar: My acting teacher from college had Michael Vincent in his class and has stated that he was a better actor then than he is now. He also hit on my teachers daughter and she rejected him (this was before he was "famous." I guess she wishes that she would have said yes.

That's probably why he shaved his head.

Hitman is being made into a movie?

After Timmy boy performance in Die Hard 4, I'm not confident in HITMAN anymore.

WHOA...WHOA goddammit.

Are you suggesting that Die Hard 4 wasn't awsome? because I know you didn't actually say that, just making sure. Because Die Hard 4 was fucking awsome and I won't stand for anyone saying it wasn't. Awsome.

He had to be the most boring uninteresting villain in the history of film. And that includes Joe Don Baker and Dougrey Scott in MI:2.

It wasn't even the script, the guy was just wooden and unconvincing. I've yet to see him pull off anything.

I'll second this, he was a wholy boring character. My main problem with Die Hard 4 was that I didn't care of Bruce won because I didn't care about the bad guy.

I went to see Shoot Em Up, and it was best thing ever. Cult status, I loved everything about the movie. Well, I was actually rather disturbed by the breaking of Clive Owens' fingers, because they played it pretty straight in the middle of what was essentially a live action cartoon.

I knew I'd see it when they used "Kickstart My Heart" in the trailer, and I always pissed off that it wasn't in the movie, but then it comes in at the very end, leaving me very satisfied.

The completely original never heard of idea in the history of television, Moonlight, premieres tonight.

You see, he is a private investigator in L.A., right, but get this....HE IS A VAMPIRE!!!!! So of course this raises all types of romance issues and stuff.

This is the most original show EVER.

As an avid fan of forgettable, pedestrian shit I'm about as happy as I allow myself to be. :bonk:

Not sure if this warrants a thread but I'm really looking forward to seeing The Kingdom tonight. I'm glad Jason Bateman is getting some decent looking post Arrested Development film work for once and the plot looks pretty intriguing.

I'm glad we even got it, the small movie theater here where I go to college hardly ever gets anything half-decent and the next nearest movie theater is 45 minutes away. I don't expect it to get much independent and artsy stuff that I like seeing when I'm back at home but it never even got 3:10 to Yuma, and that was the #1 movie in the country on its opening weekend!

Just watched Bug today on DVD - wow, what an actually fascinating film. I think for everyone that finds this film interesting though, there is another who plain out will hate it. Everything in the film is very loosely up to ones own interpretation about what is happening, what this and that means, etc, where you can't really figure out the situation until you understand what the underbelly of this film is about (at least this is how I take it) - and its not really about bugs, per-se. Wasnt really horror to me, but there is some disturbing parts in it. Oh and Ashley Judd gets fully nude a few times during the film, which is always a plus.

For those that have seen it,

is the real story moreless that Judd is completely out in the clouds from her heavy drug usage (was that meth/crack in the pipe?), drinking, and general depression from losing her child? And that she meets this guy, who is a complete nutjob from whatever testing he had went through. Ultimately, they both become almost hyper-paranoid, delusional, etc. So the bugs aren't real, hell damn near nothing is internally within them, and I dont know if they even REALLY died at the end, given the stuff that rolled shortly after the credits. Apparently the play this was based on....the gist of that was demonstrating their different kinds of paranoid-scizophrenia (with her, the heavy drug usage - with him, who knows, it was pretty speculative on what "they" did to him) kind of coming together and snowballing within each of the two.

Overall, a really fucking twisted film that leaves up alot of room for discussion.

I saw the Kingdom two weeks ago- it was awesome. Peter Berg is just fantastic as a director

Kingdom was a lot better than I expected and I expected it to be pretty damn good. Just a flat out great action-thriller. Berg's really come a long way since Very Bad Things and The Rundown

Going to Peices - The Rise and Fall of Slasher Movies is a really good documentary if you're a fan of the sub-genre.

Canadian actress Lois Maxwell has died. She was 80. The Golden Globe-winning star - famed for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond movies - died at the Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia, on Saturday evening. Maxwell starred alongside Sir Sean Connery in Bond's first Dr. No, in 1962. She played the role until 1985, when she appeared in A View To A Kill with Sir Roger Moore. She last appeared on the big screen in the 2001 thriller The Fourth Angel alongside Forest Whitaker and Jeremy Irons.

R.I.P. Moneypenny

Yay, Jes won on Rock of Love.

I was going for Heather, she just seemed like a more fun person to be around. I was very disappointed by Bret's choice.

Girls like Heather are pretty standard. For everything Michaels had said he was looking for, Jes had. Heather was just the typical blonde bitch, that relationship wouldn't last. They never do.

It's a shame to see such a cute girl stuck with such a enormous douche. It's even sadder knowing she arranged to put herself in the position to be dating such an enormous douche.

I was checking something on my digital guide and noticed TBS totally revamped their daytime schedule. I think this is the first time in about 12 years they haven't had Saved by the Bell on the schedule.

Oh, apparently as a Canadian I get "Peachtree TV" instead of TBS now, as of yesterday, due to WTBS becoming WPCH and differing from the national TBS schedule. Weird.

I'm wondering if this different feed is why when I was on a road trip in the States a few weeks ago and went to watch Captain Planet (hoping it was the episode where they try to stop religious riots in Ireland) for a few minutes before we left in the morning, a movie about Tiffany Amber Thiessen being killed by her best friends was on instead.

Yeah, Canada always got the local WTBS feed as opposed to the Superstation one, but I guess there weren't that many programming differences before.

Not a fan of the Boondocks. Just couldn't get into it.

In other news, Dennis Haysbert is back to looking like Pedro Cerrano on THE UNIT. And it one of the most awesome things in the world. Watching Cerrano with a gun shooting people is making me want this season on DVD already.

As NBC's "American Gladiators" remake begins to take shape, the network is turning to elsewhere in the world of "sports entertainment" for the show's host.

Pro-wrestling legend and VH1 reality star Hulk Hogan is on board to serve as the show's host. Though the deal is still being finalized, TV Week reports that both NBC and the Hulkster (real name: Terry Bollea) are gung-ho about the series, which is likely to find a midseason berth on the network.

As with the original series, which aired in syndication for much of the 1990s, the new "American Gladiators" will feature amateur athletes facing off in a series of combative challenges against a group of professional "gladiators." The show is a pet project of NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman, who was developing a version of the show at his company, Reveille, before taking his new job. Reveille remains involved with the project.

NBC is currently casting both regular folks and the rotating cast of warriors; there's no word on whether any of the original gladiators will appear on the new show.

In addition to his 20-plus years as a professional wrestling star, Hogan has appeared in such movies as "Rocky III," "Mr. Nanny" and "Suburban Commando." He and his family are the subjects of the VH1 series "Hogan Knows Best," and he starred in the syndicated show "Thunder in Paradise" in the early 1990s.

There is a rumor floating around that Will Smith would be the producer for a Karate Kid remake, with Smith's son as Daniel Larusso and Jackie Chan as Mr. Miyagi.

Now that's just criminal.

That rumor is laughable- Will Smith's son is like 8 years old. I don't think even Hollywood is stupid enough to do that.
