benn 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 Over the past 2 weeks I've been to see Kisschasy and Eskimo Joe. Also seeing The Living End in October. I'm planning to drive up to see the Gold Coast Big Day Out festival in January which has RCHP, Muse and possibly Tool headlining.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 I might see The Steve Miller Band on August 18th at the Augusta Civic Center in the metropolis known as Augusta, Maine. Not quite a concert, but I kind of want to see Dave Chappelle when he's in Boston on August 23rd.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 Yeah I was about to say, its not a concert, but I'll most likely be seeing Chappelle in DC on the 28th.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2006 Seeing Ozzfest tomorrow. Everyone hated on the lineup and now I'm reading nothing but praise for the work done by the artists this year. I'm really excited to see: Strapping Young Lad Atreyu Black Label Society These are three bands I've never really gotten into but never tried to. I hear SYL is awesome. Main Stage: Disturbed - Going to be amazing. System of a Down - Duh. DRAGONFORCE - HOLY SHIT BRUCE DICKINSEN SOUNDING CRAZY FUNKY METAL STONER DANCE PARTY. They have a Keyboard Guitar. Lacuna Coil - I dig their addictive music. Whatever. I'm excited but not super excited to see them. Avenged Sevenfold - Don't like them but can use this time to buy a new piece and piss, drink water, etc. Hatebreed - Someone's gonna die. Ozzy - Seen him every year, dunno if I'll even be able to walk by this point, I get tired after a day of boozing and brawling. So I'm excited.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2006 Ozzfest 2006 Camden, NJ review: NEW JERSEY AND PHILLY CROWDS SUCK FOR EVERYTHING - Baseball, basketball, concerts, pro wrestling, everything. Drank about 20 beers and half a bottle of vodka in the parking lot. Stupid. Met lots of the CZW fans randomly. Dragonforce was godly. Got to the front of the pit, right at the stage. The crowd sucked ass and was quiet. Lacuna Coil was good, but felt WAY out of place. Didn't rock the crowd at all. Crowd was quiet. I fell in love with sexy Christina and her entrancing vocals. Hatebreed - 1st half moshed like crazy, the crowd at Ozzfest sucked tho, 1/2 were annoying fat kids and 1/4 were skeevy old dudes and 1/4 were emoriffic. I don't care if you're 45 and feel 21 or you're some Avenged Sevenfold fan that wants to suck my dick, just get the fuck out of my way when Hatebreed is on or I'm going to impale you with my soccer cleets. Spent the last 3 songs of Hatebreed buying a new bowl. DISTURBED WAS KICKASS. That's it. I enjoyed them. SYSTEM was pleasently good, sounded a little weird for a few songs tho, including "BYOB". No suite pee. Good stuff. Left for Ozzy. Exhausted. Seen him plenty of times. He was playing with Zack Wylde so no good could come from that.
cbacon 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2006 Saw Wolf Parade tonight. Probably the shortest concert i've ever seen, but they were still pretty amazing.
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 W ent to Ozzfest in 99 and loved it. My lil bro got to go this year and had a blast. I, uh, I suppose I should have mentioned the Aerosmith/Motley Crue concert here instead of starting a thread, huh?
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Not summer but I'm going to see The New Cars on November 19th at City Hall here in Portland. Tickets will probably be really expensive ($50 at least) but it's a relatively small 1,900 seat auditorium and you only live once. The Cars are probably one of my top ten favorite bands of all time and I love me some Todd Rundgren too so it'll all be worth it.
Frosty 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Kanye West and Sloan on September 23.
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 That's a fucked up lineup, dude. Sounds cool though.
Frosty 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 Yeah, It should be a decent show. It's an outdoor show in Halifax they are expecting upwards of 60,000 people. I should also note that I've seen Sloan, Hot Hot Heat, David Wilcox, Tom Cochrane, and Matt May's and El Torpedo at various concerts over the summer. EDIT: Note, I also forgot to mention I seen the SpinDoctors as well.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 Saw Just Surrender in July with June, IEG, and the Junior Varsity. Fun show, but Just Surrender blew everyone away. Saw Lagwagon later in July with two crappy bands. Lagwagon was excelent. Went to the Warped Tour and saw Hellogoodbye, Senses Fail, Motion City Soundtrack, Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is..., Thursday, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Saves the Day, and Cartel... Senses Fail were the best, Hellogoodbye are always fun. Everything was great except for a lackluster Saves The Day set. Might see Just Surrender again later this month with The Audition and Saosin
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 Might see Just Surrender again later this month with The Audition and Saosin Bastard. We're getting Saosin, but no Just Surrender. I found out they played with Halifax back in June, and I missed out on the show.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 I won four free tickets to the second and last day of Baystock, a local music festival that's taking place on a pier. Blues Traveler is headlining and The Saw Doctors and a bunch of local bands are opening. Should be a fun enough time for a free show.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 Bob Dylan in two nights in Manchester, NH! I'm stoked. Especially because for no apparent reason he's really started shuffling the setlist that he's basically been playing a variation of for the past two years. The New Cars cancelled for some odd reason (probably cause no one but me cares- bah!) I'm definitely going to be seeing Bob Dylan/The Raconteurs on November 9th in Portland, ME. It's only five minutes away from my house and I'd be stupid not to go. I'll also be seeing Jonathan Edwards on November 18th at the Chocolate Church (An old church reconfigured into a 300 seat concert/theater/performing arts venue)in the hamlet known as Bath, ME.
