You can't..because people who hate them, hate them. And they're dead set on it. So there is no 'defending'.

 

Regardless, I like the Wayans brothers. Well, I have never liked Shawn, but I'm a fan of marlon Wayans. I liked White Chicks. I still watch the Wayans Bros (the show). And I'll probaly be seeing this. No need to defend why.

 

Cheap laughs? Sometimes, bad comedy? Yea, but it involves laughs. It's funny. But of course that's just personal opinion.

I'm not gonna be watching this, I only watched one scene out of White Chicks on Youtube (Terry Crews baby), but I will say that Marlon Wayans is actually a decent actor.

Agreed, (there's a reason he was SW1) although I think Keenan definitely has a ton of charisma, though no range. I can't ever hate on someone who co-wrote "Hollywood Shuffle" though. I love that fucking movie.

I saw it at my job. What you'd expect with a few cameos thrown in and Tracy Morgan's P-Unit (which should get a chuckle or a tired "blah".). I wouldn't go see it at the movies unless it's packed, otherwise it's a good rent.

I blame shawn for all this shit. If something were to happen to him, Marlon could go on and have a great career, but every goddamn time Marlon does something good for himself, you can just see Shawn poping up and saying "Now we should do a movie together!!"

 

Damon and marlon are all the talent, although Low Down Dirty Shame was the SHIT when it came out (it has aged horribly, but hey.)

 

Plus...keenan played in Glimmer Man. Steven Segal killin niggas with credit cards, man....Credit cards. You can't hate on anyone that had anything to do with that movie.

I'm disapointed that Marlon and Damon don't work together as often as they should (if ever).

 

Damon and Marlon can act, Keenan can direct/produce but I guess they all got to sink to Shawn's level so no one is left out.

I agree with the idea that Shawn drags Marlon down. Marlon actually was doing some nice work by himself until the Wayans Bros TV show was canceled. Since than almost everything he's done has been with Shawn. Don't be a Menace is a classic and Scary Movie was good, but White Chicks was straight garbage and Little Man looks like it also.

 

However these movies will always have an audience and people will go see it which will inspire more White Chickesque productions. I just don't know what the purpose of Marlon doing Requiem. "Yes I can do drama but I'd rather settle for the lowest form of comedy."
