Spaceman Spiff Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Yeah, I was leaning towards Taylor. The other option was using DeAngelo Williams (@ TB), since our league gives points for kickoff return yards (2 points every 25 yards, 6 for a TD). That's kind of a crapshoot, though, since I don't know how many yards rushing/receiving he'd have. He had a good week last week, but since he's still only a backup, I can't really count on him like I can a regular starter.
Lightning Flik Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I got offered Keyshawn Johnson and Edge for Frank Gore and Marques Colston. I rejected it, but now I'm having second thoughts. My league only starts one RB with a WR/RB flex spot and my other RBs are Stephen Jackson and Willie Parker. Carolina's offensive struggles kind of shyed me away from the deal along with the fact that when Smith comes back, Keyshawn won't get as many looks. What say you all? On one hand, Edge isn't doing too well (not over 100 yards per game, but putting up respectable numbers) and Johnson may not get looks even with Smith back. On the other, Colston doesn't put up as much as Johnson in terms of points (10per yard and 7 per TD) and Gore is an injury risk and fumbles. Its really a toss up. Would I have done it? I don't know. Only probably if my WRs were lacking.
iggymcfly Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Wow, after bothering to draft a backup TE, I still forgot to play him today during Tony Gonzalez's bye week. It only cost me one point though, as Jermaine Wiggins didn't do shit today anyway. Luckily, I still have a 15 point lead going into the Monday night game, so as long as Dunn doesn't outplay Vick too badly, I'll be fine.
HarleyQuinn Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I need about 23 points combined from Dunn/Crumpler and for Deuce to get attacked by a rabies infected dog prior to the game to win this week... in one league at least. *d'oh at benching Coles for Bobby Wade* Damn questionables...
Special K Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Man, I got owned this week. Totally expected when Larry Johnson, Lamont Jordan, Tony Gonzalez and Terry Glenn were all on bye. Plus Housh's status was uncertain so I benched him and Palmer, and am starting Vick.
MFer Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I need a fucking receiver. My best one at this point is a damn rookie. I picked up Gabriel maybe he can emerge as the Pats' go-to-guy.
LaParkaMarka Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 2 people in League 1 aren't playing. Sobe Overdose only has 9 players on his team and hasn't done anything since July (still somehow 1-2). 2Deep hasn't done anything since Aug 14 (also somehow got a win, weird). Sobe managed to beat "Can I Get A Witness"...the owner of that team should be embarassed. 2Deep defeated Foreign Objects in an epic 33-31 week 3 matchup...2Deep actually had 2 players on Bye that week vs Foreign Objects full team. That's just sad. This week, 2Deep is actually favored against Can I Get a Witness...losing to two completely inactive teams in consecutive weeks would be very pathetic. Meanwhile, Sobe takes it's two players on Bye and faces Leena....this actually will be close, since Leena is starting Samkon Gado at RB, a WR on Bye, and Atlanta's punter. Of special note is Rosenhaus' Rangers, a team that has been starting either Vince Young or Jay Cutler since the beginning of the season. Needless to say, they are 0-3. Last place team Chosun Ones is also pretty funny, what with starting 3 players on Bye versus 3-0 Serenity. I guess you never know, maybe Chosun's starting RB tandem of Lendale White and Tatum Bell (on bye week) will be able to outscore Serenity's Brian Westbrook/Reggie Bush combo (btw, nice work Serenity getting both of those guys in a PPR league...beautiful drafting). In conclusion, our league is retarded. But I'm in first, so whatever. *poses, spits water, tears quad*
razazteca Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 In conclusion, our league is retarded. Yup too many gimmick teams.

That's just sad. Let's take a look at my first loss. The only touchdowns I had were from Drew Brees. I had Joe J in my lineup, and he got hurt before doing anything. I got buttfucked that week. I also won last week, so I don't know what you're talking about in reference to losing twice to consecutive teams. I can't remove players in order to make sure that active managers beat inactive ones, because that would skew the standings. I can lock them, and plan on doing so after this week.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Hey. I bothered to fix my team this week.
Vern Gagne Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 It doesn't matter with my lousy team.

My bad, I got your team and Foreign Objects confused regarding the two straight losses. You're right about the Week 1 loss being bad luck, but you still lost to a team that doesn't have any backups. There's not much that can be done about inactive owners, besides emailing them. 18/20 active owners is actually pretty good.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 League 1, I'm kinda trying. League 2... LaMont Jordan's complete uselessness has crushed my spirit.
MillenniumMan831 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Debating as to start Hasselbeck or Grossman tonight. I'm leaning towards Grossman since Chicago has one stingy defense and it's a home game. Plus, I'm sick and tired of having Grossman on the bench while he puts up 25-30 points. My team blows. I'm 1-2. And on the one win, I had the 2nd least amount of points in the league that week. EDIT --- Sure glad I went w/ Grossman. I'll be 2-2 if McNabb and Greg Jennings don't combine for 32 points tomorrow.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 What's the word on Ahman Green? I've got Vernand Morency, so I'm considering starting him if Green isn't going to play. Right now I've got Tiki (home) vs. Wash, and Fred Taylor (home) vs. Jets.
Vern Gagne Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 bumped It's the championship game. Komijul vs Flying Dutchmen If I can pull the upset. That would make me TSM champion in Fantasy Football, and Fantasy Baseball.
MFer Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 I would've beat Flying Dutchmen if I had kept Kitna and started him. I got rid of him cause he was on the verge of costing me games. Damn Lions always find a way to screw up.
The Amazing Rando Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 And you all laughed when I auto-drafted Jeremy Shockey at number one. I probably don't have a chance in hell against cartman, but i have qualms against 2nd place.
razazteca Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 It is damn near impossible to beat a team that starts LT and Frank Gore.
MFer Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 It is damn near impossible to beat a team that starts LT and Frank Gore. Unless I'm the one with them EDIT: I have them in the first TSM league but inconsistencies at QB and WR prevented me from the 1st place(although I did have the most points during the regular season)
packwingfn Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Made it to the Finals in my 12 team league. My team QB: Peyton Manning* Phillip Rivers Derek Anderson RB: Reggie Bush* Warrick Dunn* DeAngelo Williams WR: Javon Walker* Andre Johnson* Keyshawn Johnson* Michael Jenkins Joe Jurvevsus Armaz Battle TE: Kellen Winslow* Randy McMichael K: Dave Rayner* Defense: Bears D* Jags D * = the player i've mostly been starting from week to week. Should I make any changes for the last week due to teams benching players and such?
AboveAverage484 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 It is damn near impossible to beat a team that starts LT and Frank Gore. Tell me about it, I had both and won mine Also had Bulger, Vick, Jones-Drew, Wayne, Addai, Travis Henry, Lee Evans, Coles, and Tony Gonzalez among others.
razazteca Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Unfortunately for me Stephan Jackson and Antonio Gates could only carry me so far but on a positive note I did start out 1-4 then went on a 10 game winning streak and I did beat HHH twice. I won my public league with Marvin Harrison, Rudi Johnson, Reggie Bush, Gould, Eagles/Jags and my bench who would always have big games while sitting were Michael Vick, Vince Young, among various WRs.
Cartman Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 It's me vs. Amazing Rando in TSM2 league for the title!
Vern Gagne Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I think the championship should be moved up a week next year.
razazteca Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Week 16 should be the champioship game because Da Bears are starting its practice squad for week 17.
HarleyQuinn Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Since Yahoo has opened football registrations, are the two leagues continuing? I know I was in APO's League 2.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 I dont even wanna think about football yet cause Im actually doing well in baseball this year (5th place!!!) but the league is starting to drop off like it always does.. Maybe this will be my fantasy sports year and I'll do well in football as well..ha!
