Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 With physiques fixing to shrink because of testing in the future, I wonder if this means we'll get a CM Punk call up and possible push? Oh yeah, I forgot, CM Punk doesn't know how to work. Silly me. Guess I'll go watch Joe/Punk II for a full hour of how "not" to work.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Report post Posted November 23, 2005 THE SMACKDOWN SPECIAL Don't miss The Smackdown Special on UPN Tuesday, Nov/29th, at 9 p.m. ET, when one-half of RAW's World Tag Team Champions, Big Show, takes on Smackdown's Rey Mysterio. With more than 325 pounds separating these two Superstars, this match is sure to be a David .VS. Goliath type of contest, just as it was when Big Show and Rey Mysterio battled back at Backlash 2003. The events that happened after that match can never be forgotten. With the helpless Mysterio tied to a stretcher, the giant Big Show picked up the stretcher holding Rey and swung it like a baseball bat into the steel ring post. The immobile Mysterio then fell to the ground face first. Can we expect the same out of their upcoming match Tuesday night at The Smackdown Special? Or will Mysterio, who has dedicated the match to Eddie Guerrero, find a way to topple the giant? Find out Tuesday on UPN.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 With physiques fixing to shrink because of testing in the future, I wonder if this means we'll get a CM Punk call up and possible push? Oh yeah, I forgot, CM Punk doesn't know how to work. Silly me. Guess I'll go watch Joe/Punk II for a full hour of how "not" to work. My guess? They wait until someone anti-drugs pisses them off, then they call up Punk and have him parody them simply because they can. Just have him go around randomly accusing people of steriod abuse (hey, they could nickname him "TSM", eh?) which starts a whole bunch of feuds with the Lashleys and the Chris Masters of the WWE. Hell, they could team him with Simon Dean. They'd be booked roughly with the same strength.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Ooh, while I think about it...where the hell are The Bashams. Last I saw, Doug was getting a moderate push on Velocity as "The Bash-man"...which was only slightly less crap than "The Con-man". And Danny was some sort of mysterious guy with face paint on Heat. Then, they both seemed to disappear. Did I miss their names on a release list...or are they just stuck in OVW?
claydude14 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Last I knew Doug had a minifeud with CM Punk in OVW. Haven't heard anything of Damaja aka Danny though.

Are they going to continue these types of matches? And judging by the way both guys are currently being booked, Show should leave Rey in a heap again unless there is UBER-FERENCE, which simply can not happen every time a Raw person wrestling an SD person. Early Prediction: No Contest.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Or will Mysterio, who has dedicated the match to Eddie Guerrero I find this a little, for lack of a better word, tacky.

Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Why should it? Mysterio's father/son storyline over the Summer sucked balls. Stupid midget.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Those Eddie/Rey segments reportedly were the highest rated on SmackDown.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Report post Posted November 24, 2005 So? It was stupid. And Rey won every match in the feud, except for the cage match.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 The was a poll on WWE.com the other day asking who was your favorite Eddie feud and Rey won by a land slide. Malenko was the least favorite.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 You know what I miss on this thanksgiving. Watching the Thanksgiving Version of Smackdown and having a random gravy bowl match. I remember when the Kat and Ivory had a gravy match and the Kat ended up losing her top etc then Jeff Jarrett ended up getting thrown in the gravy due to Chyna. Adam 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Whatever happened to The Kat? I mean, at least we got some random nudity when she was in the company. That had to have added at least a couple hundred thousand viewers.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Whatever happened to The Kat? I mean, at least we got some random nudity when she was in the company. That had to have added at least a couple hundred thousand viewers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC they were going to release her, and King quit in protest. She dumped King after he quit, was boning the Dupps and then kind of vanished from the biz.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2005 Since they moved SD to Fridays I wish they moved Suvivor Series back to Thanksgiving night. At least tried it out tonight. I'm bored so a PPV would/should of been fun right about now.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 With physiques fixing to shrink because of testing in the future, I wonder if this means we'll get a CM Punk call up and possible push? Oh yeah, I forgot, CM Punk doesn't know how to work. Silly me. Guess I'll go watch Joe/Punk II for a full hour of how "not" to work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay I keep hearing about how WWE seems to think CM Punk can't work, but isn't CM Punk holding one of the OVW titles, TV Title I think, right now? That seems to contradict this rumor. I think it's a bunch of BS. EDIT: Yep he is. Here's an exerpt from OVW's website: In a long, counter-for-counter match for the OVW TV Title, the newest Champion, CM Punk, had all he could handle against the former Champion Brent "The Shooter" Albright! But apparently Ken Doane is still VERY bitter over his loss of the TV Title last week, so "Doane" count him out yet in the weeks to come!
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 WWE don't book OVW. Paul Heyman does. And he's a fan of Punk. And the rumor is correct.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 Well that sucks then. Because not only is CM Punk a good wrestler but he's also great on the mic. I always loved CM's promos. The only thing he doesn't have is size, but that doesn't matter to me.
Just John 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 Apparently this doesn't warrant a thread, but I thought Smackdown was really good last night. Booker/Benoit was enjoyable, although I'd rather see a 2/3 falls match instead of another series between the two. Melina/Christy was way better than it had any right to be. The Raw/SD feud has been built up pretty well. At least this year, the Thanksgiving show-ending brawl didn't involve food.
gWIL 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 I also enjoyed the show, a little too slow moving and the main event non-match, but otherwise it was good, but why not just put the title on Orton?
