Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 You know that you've done jackshit in character development when your defining trait is that you wear sunglasses, so much so that its incorporated into your titantron. I'm looking at you Helms.
theintensifier Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I'm wondering about the 'Taker | Angle match. Is it as good as some people have pegged it to be ? PWT gave it 4 1/2 *, is that an accurate rating ?

PWT gave it 4 1/2 *, is that an accurate rating ? A lot of people around here peg it at that too. I'm not good with star ratings, but it was an awesome match from my ground. Check out the discussion on it in the No Way Out thread, it gets more in depth.

The whole "growing a beard after transitioning from face-to-heel" thing was a common stereotype that other smarks came up with in the past.

I'm looking at you Helms. In fairness to the guy, when has he been given a chance to develop a character. Or, rather, do you think the writing team can be bothered to come up with something more meaningful for the cruiserweights when they only ever seem to be used in time filling clusterfucks on Smackdown PPV's?
hyperchord24 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 So I think HHH managed to convince the techies to fix the WWE.com poll. After checking a few hours before RAW, I noticed that on the poll of who they thought would win the triple threat match, HHH was ahead by quite a margin. How is that possible when just a week ago that same poll was run with "who do you think is going to win the tourny?" had RVD winning by a landslide? On a side note, it's interesting to see that when asked if people would join Vince's "Kiss my Ass" club, it's about 50/50. I bet Vince is getting a chucle out of that.

Or, rather, do you think the writing team can be bothered to come up with something more meaningful for the cruiserweights when they only ever seem to be used in time filling clusterfucks on Smackdown PPV's? Like Chris Jericho said before, there are some writers who will try to pitch an idea for the cruiserweights. Everyone likes it, but they usually give it to someone like Masters, or Carlito. He also said they shouldn't be waiting around for the writers to come up with something, and start pitching their own ideas.
Dips Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Any suscribers to PWInsider's Elite section know what the plans are for Rey at WM? Are they planning on making the world title match 3 way?
hyperchord24 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Didn't know where to put this. The Real Dirt on Byte This! February 21, 2006 Despite several erroneous reports circulating on the Internet, WWE.com has not cancelled Byte This! Additionally, the producer of the weekly webcast has not been fired, and the Heart Throbs were not released specifically for their performance on the show. Byte This! is currently on hiatus and is being reconceived as part of a new slate of digital WWE.com content to be unveiled soon. Stay logged on to WWE.com for more information on the new Byte This! as it becomes available. From WWE.com

Monday it was "Who do you think will win the Road to Wrestlemania Tournament?" It's noted in the POWER 25 that RVD was the fan favorite, and that was before the "who do you think will win" poll appeared.
Vampiro69 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Diva news for you all. Ashley broke her leg Monday night during RAW after falling out of the ring during the women's battle royal. It is unlikely that she will need surgery but she will be out two to three months anyway. Credit: WrestlingObserver.com If it had to happen to anyone it should have been either her or Candace Michelle.
Downhome Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Any suscribers to PWInsider's Elite section know what the plans are for Rey at WM? Are they planning on making the world title match 3 way? They said that they had a few people inform them that the plans, as of earlier today, are to stick Rey in the match (I suppose Long will say he deserves it, since Orton used the ropes to pin him) making it a 3-way like so many people have thought all along. They said that it might happen as early as tonight's SD taping. I think that WWE.com thing about Byte This is totaly bullshit. I don't have a doubt in my mind that everything happened just because of what happened on the show. Here is the world's worst wrestling .GIF ever: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5lcvaD-IgG8

MillenniumMan831 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Jim Duggan's promo on Unlimited was one of Hacksaw's best promos ever. Ok ok ok, I only say that since he's the first wrestler I can think of to belt out a hearty . . . "TAKE . . IT . . . EASY!!!" during a promo. Eh, made me laugh.
slimm44 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 JBL injured his hand at the taping last night WWE.COM JBL injured on SmackDown February 22, 2006 This week on SmackDown during a six-man tag team match, JBL sustained a serious hand injury. Hawk 34 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Shit, there goes JBL/Benoit @ Mania. Regal/Benoit. Do it.
Guest JRE Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Looks like the Haas rumors are true, he worked OVW this week and is schedule to return to Raw on March 4. Benjamin vs. Haas at Wrestlemania, maybe?

Benjamin vs. Haas at Wrestlemania, maybe? Not a chance. He'll likely come in as a face against Shelton and calling him out for using his Mama to win the title and then they'll slap Haas/Carlito/Shelton/RVD/Masters/Kane MITB for Mania.
Aero Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I'd actually rather see Haas & Benjamin as partners again before they start feuding. Don't put them permanently in the tag division, but at least have them take the Tag Titles off of Kane & Show... PLEASE.

So no IC Title defense this year either? I agree that Shelton in the MITB would ensure some cool spots and a great worker for the match but I think he needs to establish some credibility to his new Title reign and that means a title defense at Mania, and Haas seems like a good choice for it.
