Wasn't there supposed to be a cardiovascular test along with the random drug testing? Pretty obvious they'll check for heart conditions with the cardio test, but are all these so-called liver and other "medical situations" a result from that test?

A guy doing a gimmick similar to that of singer Tom Jones? As long as he yells out "Stand back pussycat! Whoa, Whoa!" it will be gold.

Colt Cabana was signed?

No. However speculation had been rampant since his stint in the spring. It'd be ironic and appros if he ended his ROH career next month in August in Chicago in his hometown in a 2/3 falls match just like Punk did.

RAW has a lot of guys just sitting around, and in addition they have released some guys and moved some from Smackdown - makes no sense.

Goldust - released

Snitsky - doing nothing

Orton - moved to RAW

Nitro & Melina - moved to RAW

Haas - doing nothing

Viscera - doing nothing

Val Venis - doing nothing

The roster is just really imbalanced right now.

WWE should look into getting Glenn Gilbertti and having him play Disco Inferno on Smackdown. They should also give Maven another chance.

I do find it startling that hardly anyone on the RAW roster has had to be pulled off TV, yet literally half of the Smackdown roster has been pulled off due to various issues. Is the backstage atmosphere between the two very different or is this some sort of odd coincidence?

In fact the only person I can think of being pulled from RAW is Chris Masters.

Yea there are about two tag teams they could have made out of that list and given us a decent tag team division (Goldust & Snitsky and then team up Venis/Viscera since their gimmicks complement each other). It wouldn't take a genius to give us a competitive tag team division again but WWE just chooses not to.

I dunno about giving Maven another chance but hell, it wouldn't hurt when looking at the depleted Smackdown! roster right now. I wouldn't mind seeing Disco Inferno back. I always marked for him and his theme music is definitely in my favorite all-time top 10.

Good point. Don't have much to add but that thought crossed my head over the weekend.

I'd like to see Charlie Haas moved to Smackdown. I mean he could be a solid #3 or #4 face there and temporarily replace Lashley while he's out in the feud with the King's Court.

What do you think WWE is going to do with Smackdown once it premieres on CW? I heard someone talking about a Ministry of Darkness revival (shudders). I wouldn't mind an Undertaker heel turn, a heel Undertaker Vs Batista could be a formidable SD! main event for WrestleMania 23.

Val and Vis have been a team for months now. Val only just returned from an injury though. Of course none of this means that anything has been done with them as a team. Come on, this is WWE. Tag team wrestling is for sissies unless you're a cruiserweight, and then it's the only type of match you're allowed to have.

A few bits from PWInsider:

-As far as the tag division goes, Aaron "The Idol" Stephens & Casey James will more than likely be at the SD tapings this week, and might even be on TV. (correct me if those names are wrong)

Aaron Stevens should already be on the main roster. Like Brent Albright, he's not going to get any better in OVW. I have a hard time seeing Casey James on national television because he comes across as a local indy guy. Somebody called him a poor man's Tommy Rich and I would agree with that completely.

If they want to improve the tag team division, they should bring up Deuce and Domino and they should keep their 50s greaser gimmicks. I never thought I would be fans of theirs, but they have impressed me over the past couple of weeks.

Hey now, I saw Aaron Stevens back when he was an indy wrestler making an appearence at a show literally up the street from me back in '02. If I knew then...

This would make the second person from the former local indy that's appeared in WWE, the first being Palmer Cannon. Palmer Cannon was actually a fairly decent wrestler back when I saw him. I'm a bit surprised they never used him as a wrestler.

Speaking of Palmer Cannon, my dad actually finished ahead of him in a five mile road race on Saturday.

OK, I'm going way off topic there. Back on topic, I'm glad to see they're doing something to help Smackdown's depleted roster, even if it is bringing up OVW and DSW guys.

From pwinsider.com

"According to a number of sources, Matt Hardy has joined the list of WWE talent that will be taken out of action shortly by the company, although we haven't heard further details on Hardy's situation. "

I saw them at a house show months and months ago, before the Rumble, or maybe between that PPV and WM. Anyway, I really liked the gimmick from what I saw of the three of them (I forget who the chick was), and I thought to myself that if they improve in the ring just a little bit then I'd love to see them brought up. I'm actually shocked that we haven't seen that happen yet.

I know that he was in WWE before as one half of 3MW, but about a year or so ago I saw Jamal (ooooooooooooooMaga) at a local indie show, and I'd go as far to describe him as "awesome" on the show. He was doing shit that he never did in WWE, and was just destroying everyone. I saw him there, and I knew that we'd see him back in WWE before too long. He really, really impressed me.

From PWInsider:

According to a number of sources, Matt Hardy has joined the list of WWE talent that will be taken out of action shortly by the company, although we haven't heard further details on Hardy's situation.

As first noted yesterday afternoon during my audio hotline in the PWInsider.com Elite section, The Pitbulls are expected to sit out for at least the next month due to a personal situation involving one or both members of the team, which necessitated the PPV finish with their match against Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

Also broken yesterday in our Elite section on my hotline was the reason Super Crazy did not challenge Gregory Helms for the WWE Cruiserweight championship. Crazy has been removed from the active roster as WWE found something they didn't like in a recent blood test. Like The Great Khali and Bobby Lashley, Crazy is not "suspended" as much as the company wants to sit them out for their own well being, until WWE gets the results of a second test to further understand whatever issue exists, if any.

WWE needs to be praised for its aggressive stance towards their Wellness program in recent weeks, as well as their concern for the health and well being of their talents. The company has taken a stance of "zero tolerance" for the long term good of their performers and should be praised for not turning a blind eye at doing so, especially when it caused massive creative and lineup changes to the Great American Bash PPV, which didn't have the strongest lineup on paper in its original incarnation to begin with, as well as sitting out top ECW names during a point where the brand is fledging and in its infancy. It's very easy to point fingers and criticize the company but by the same token, you have to praise them doing the right thing when they do it, and thus far, when it comes to the health of their athletes, WWE has done so since the incorporation of their Wellness Program.

Maybe Matt Hardy is the first to realize failing a drug test is a way to get released from a contract?

I'd pop some drugs or shoot some random steroids to try to get out of my contract.

Matt Hardy is a fucking moron though, the WWE fucked him over the first time & the fact he went back to them when Vince waved a contract in front of his face proved he's got no sense.

Batista is pretty funny at this WM23 Fan Rally.

"I don't know why they invite me to these things, I don't have any catchphrases to say"

Then he keeps saying "John Cena" just to get people to boo.

You know for the last couple of years I never saw what the big deal was with Batista but the guy's starting to grow on me.

I went to my first WWE show in years a month ago and the main event was Batista's unofficial return match teaming up with Rey Rey against King Booker and Marc Henry and he just had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hands. They were just going apeshit over the guy.

He's kind of like a more talented Ultimate Warrior with a sense of humor.

And we know how that all ended...

I hope in ten years he doesn't give political speeches stating that queering doesn't make the world work
