Comments which don't warrant a thread

Recommended Posts

SmackDown Diva Michelle McCool recently divorced her husband of several years, so she's back to being Michelle McCool as opposed to Michelle McCool-Alexander. The two were a couple since high school.

In other Michelle McCool-related news, last week on WWE.com she wrote a commentary about her illness late last year that had her hospitalized for two weeks. Michelle claimed 14 days, although WWE.com claimed four. She was doing an overseas tour and during a match with Kristal, her back started to hurt. It wasn't normal back pain, it was debilitating pain to the point where she could not stand or even speak. She kept telling people she was fine, but then would go to bed in tears. One night she was dso dehydrated that they had to hook her up to an IV. She said she couldn't remember going through the airport when she got home, and that while she was in the hospital, friends and family weren't sure she was going to live. "For the first six to seven days of my 14-day stint in the hospital, I was completely out of it, hallucinating from the combination of my low sodium and medication." She concluded with this advice: "You never know when might be your last day. You have a choice each morning: You can be in a good mood or a bad mood. Count your blessings, cherish your loved ones and remember to smile! I love you all, and can’t wait to get back in the ring and make each and every one of you prouder than ever!"

In her post on WWE.com, Michelle never once said what the actual illness that she was suffering from was other than "dehydration". The reality is that Michelle had a really bad eating disorder and was taking a ton of diet pills to the point where either her kidneys and bladder shut down or were getting very close to shutting down. Despite the claim on WWE.com, and her own claim, it's been said that she was actually in the hospital for upwards of 20 days, so it was a very, very serious life or death situation.

In unrelated news, McCool is said to be a big favorite amongst some of the older guys in the company.

What does that mean? Is Alvarez hinting she is sleeping around to ensure her spot?

Well if she's getting divorced from her long time high school sweetheart, there may be more to it than "we've grown apart". It's not like she actually does anything worth a fuck on TV.

Apparently They're Doing Wellness Tests Today

In an interesting bit of timing, there were quite a few Wellness tests given backstage at today's ECW/Smackdown taping in Cleveland, Ohio. One source estimated over two dozen WWE performers were given urine tests this afternoon. Since WWE doesn't give talent advance notice, there's no way to know whether the testing was already planned when the SI.com article naming several talents implicated in the steroid investigation broke yesterday afternoon. That said, it's entirely conceivable that a larger number of performers were admininstered tests in the wake of all the media attention.

YES!!! Take Batista and Lashley down!!!!!!!!

Yeah right, with all the publicity they're getting for Wrestlemania, there's NO WAY they'll test any of the main event guys before Wrestlemania.

Don't forget, the wrestlers don't get suspended for failing the drug test. They still show up on TV and can have their matches, see Test. Their "wellness policy" is a complete fucking joke.

There's a lot of speculation that the Wellness Policy is going to go back to what it was before they altered the rules.

Really don't miss Cryme Tyme...their initial skits were funny, but their act was getting pretty boring.

I think they should come back as heels, personally.

Mick Foley was on the Opie and Anthony show today. He plugged his book, told a couple stories about Vince, and how he asked his wife if Melina could be his son's godparent. Pretty funny stuff. Before he left, he said he has a major announcement to make the day after Wrestlemania.

hopefully it's to say he's never coming back.

I really don't understand all the Foley hate that's been coming since a couple of years ago on this board. The guy makes really sporadic appearances, has great promos and segments, puts on great matches, puts everybody and their grandfather over, so what's not to love? Or are some people still crying as to how Foley SHOULD have stuck around ROH and make Joe the superstar he should've been by now? I just don't get it.

I guess I just get sick of WWE using guys like Austin, Foley, and Rock sporadically, and the fact that they haven't created a true superstar to fill their shoes. I don't think Cena or Batista even come close to them in terms of talent of heat generated.

Foley was just a product of being at the right place at the right time (WWF in 1997-1998). He was no more important back then than Cena or Batista is now. I don't really class Foley with Austin or Rock.

Agreed. I've always found the Foley hate here to be retarded. OH NO HE DIDN'T GO TO TNA!!!

I think WWE was really dumb for not running a Foley-Nitro feud. Occasionally his promos miss the mark (See ECW last week), but for the most part the guy is entertaining.

If it only it was. He's been saying on radio interviews recently that he had pitched a major storyline to WWE that would start the day after Wrestlemania. I would assume it's going to be that.

Good. He's got a real good mind for business

"Foley SHOULD have stuck around ROH and make Joe the superstar he should've been by now? I just don't get it."

Yeah, that's impossible. TNA has a larger audience than ROH, television, and PPV, and even if they gave a 2-year long reign as NWA World Champion he wouldn't be seen as a "national wrestling superstar" by the public.

I'm really glad he didn't go to TNA. I'm with Lushus, outside of Mankind I have grown tired of him. He keeps coming back and coming back and it just never feels like it matters anymore. I just want him to go away and not come back. If he wants a backstage writing role off camera? Great, awesome, his mind comes in handy. But ANOTHER god damn on air Foley angle? No, hell no. Let it end.
