the max 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 Is Creed too obvious a guess for who the former convict will be? One of the Stamford employees. Creed worked in Scranton.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 Lazy Scranton already had me laughing but Dwight jumping into the scene and being part of the video made it even better. I wasn't as enamoured with Andy in the Stamford episodes as everyone else (though I did find him funny), but wow was he great with Michael and Dwight. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 Michael's gonna assume it's the black dude. Is new black employee the guy from the bank commercials? WAMU, maybe? Either way, it's the commercial with these old stuffy bankers talking about charging people for things whatever hip black man's bank doesn't.

starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 I'm throwing down my pick - Karen. That's too much of a swerve for this show. Part of the fun of The Office is that we get to see things long before Michael figures it out, and we see just how oblivious he can be.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted November 18, 2006 It has to be Karen. Why would it be Andy? He has the most character development out of the Stamford bunch. He went to Cornell, was always drunk, still graduated, and was in Here Comes Treble. (His Haddaway impression was priceless last night.) I think everything is taken care of with regard to Andy's past. Karen, for being one of the principal characters at the Stamford branch, still has a lot of character development left. Or it could be the breast pump lady. There are only 4 transfers now, right? Andy, Karen, BPL, black guy? The fat guy is gone and Jim doesn't count. That means there are 16 people in the office now, assuming that Oscar is off the show for good, plus Jan, plus the warehouse guys. They need to cut Meredith out or something. It's getting cluttered. Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 My favorite part of that episode was Toby trying to do the fist tap with Jim & then apologizing. Also, I just read online that Toby tried to ask Pam out. When was this?

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2006 I guess I was in the minority, but I didn't like this episode very well at all. Michael was way too over the top, Dwight was way too over the top, and then adding Andy just made it even worse. I liked him a lot better when he was just playing 'the asshole' at the other office. Everything with Jim and Karen was good though. For being a new character, she's actually meshed with the rest of the cast really well and is quite likeable and funny. The secondary Scranton characters were good too, but seeing Michael on overdrive interacting with all these blank types from Stamford was just too much. He was always drunk in college, which could've given him a DUI and an overnight, making him a convict in Dwight's eyes. But I might as well hedge here and say that any of the four Stamford characters could've had a DUI or similar, but I am of the opinion that the ex-convict will be one because of something minor, and Dwight. Wait, when was this convict stuff talked about? The next (11/30) episode written by Gervais & Merchant is called "The Convict."

Also, I just read online that Toby tried to ask Pam out. When was this? I think it was the season premier (maybe or the second episode) where Toby kept talking to Pam and seemed to be gearing to ask her out. It was subtle.
