Holy crap, that was a great episode. Started off slow, but once the dueling parties started, the episode PICKED UP. Sweet stuff, funny stuff, Jim realizing he's in a rebound relationship, and the cast looked like they were having a blast.

A definite improvement there. This was the first episode in quite a while that was genuinely funny. Michael using the marker on the asian chick was my absolute favorite.

They should've called that "A very special Office" because it had some really good genuine moments in it, like Dwight taking Angela's hand, Pam giving Toby the bathrobe and Jim and Michael's talk. Kelly singing "We belong together...Ryan" had me pissing myself, as did The Temp's ownage of Jim on the excuses front.

The excuses part was great and then got even better when Jim called Ryan out on taking all the excuses and he rattles off 3 or 4 more:

 

 

Ryan: I’m not feeling so well. I’ve got a ton of work to do here. MSG allergy, peanut allergy, I just ate there last night.

 

Jim: Wow, thanks for taking all the excuses, dude.

Ryan: Doctor appointment, car trouble, plantar warts, granddad fought in World War II. Use your head, man. I keep mine in here. Look alive, Halpert. Welcome back.

Loved loved loved it, of course. Beside what's already been mentioned, Kevin's concerned look when Toby forlornly massaged his robe and Dwight's Benihana advice on how to cook the goose were both tremendous.

Kelly's my favourite recurring character. Partially because of the effect she seems to have on Ryan, who seems to have no idea whether he wants to stay in the relationship or not.

 

Loved how Jim used his position to trump Dwight. Not to mention the whole CIA thing.

I think that it's really set up that it is Jan who goes with Michael, but I wish they would have shown some lead up to that. It seems out of her character to just up and go with Michael with no tease before hand.

I can't believe no one mentioned Jim's face when he realized Michael couldn't tell them apart, nor Michael's brilliant way of marking his girl. The entire episode damn solid, especially Dwight having to sit on the other side of the couple.

Well she was upset about the Carol thing during Casino Night.

 

Good episode, Michael photoshopping himself into a photo with Carol, ex-husband, and kids was great, the marker was great, the ongoing Dwight/Andy feud was great, etc.

Michael returns from his Jamaican vacation a relaxed and revitalized man, but that quickly changes when a spicy vacation photograph makes its way around the office. Meanwhile, Jim and Karen have an argument — with Pam caught in the middle of it all.

I loved Oscar's little cameo at the end. One of the better episodes of the season.

Oscar and boyfriend walk in: "Too soon." And they walk away. GREAT.

- Michael walks out "Christmas is canceled."

Stanley: "You can't take away holidays."

Michael: "Keep it up Stanley and you'll lose New Years."

Stanley: "And what does that mean?"

Michael: "Jim, take New Year's away from Stanley."

 

Then they pan to Jim and his face was priceless. I rewinded it about 4 times because it was that great.

- How serious are Karen and Jim? They got each other DVDs for X-Mas? That is it?

Great episode. Anytime they have any type of party in the Office, it is gold.
