LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Also, Sylar's "You're the villain...I'm the hero" was really cool. It would have been cool if he actually killed Peter and "saved the world", instead of being stabbed like a chump. Instead the line was just kind of pointless. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 I'm wondering if Hiro's father's superpower is that he's an immortal, revealing him to be Kensei himself. That could explain the final scene of the finale.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 I imagine that's the case. Also, Shaft in the wheelchair saying "You can call me Charles" in a very specific way was totally a nod to Xavier.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 Sendhil Ramamurthy was on Regis this morning, and if I remember correctly, he said they may end up doing a 30-episode season, with the Origins episodes airing during a mid-season hiatus. That has already been confirmed. I was horribly disappointed with the finale. This whole season had been excellent, and the finale was just ahuge letdown. And it takes a LOT for me to be let down. I've never once complained about lost, and I watch Raw and ECW every week. Some moments were cool, but this was, by far, the worst episode of the season. Bleh. Clearly you didn't see any of the early episodes focusing on Nikki and Jessica. Because if you did you wouldn't be calling the finale the worst episode of the season. I actually like the Nikki/Jessica storyline.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 I personally didn't have a problem with the Jessikki storyline either. Not as much as others did. I think it was just annoying that there was no connection to the main story being shown with them. That and Ali Carters teeth annoy me. But besides that, I had no problem with it. I would like to mention that DL overreacts like a bitch to a little bullet. Goddamn dude, if you were able to walk around less than a hour later you weren't shot that fucking bad. the finalle should have been a two hour and included the previous show. It would have gone well together. I have no problem with the finally, but with the last ep kicking various asses it set up a biggy in the finale and it wasn't as big as some would have liked. So Peter should be dead since he wouldn't have died in the blast in the first place. Also, I think in the future episode, Hiro assumed that it was Sylar the blew up, when it was really peter, so when he stabbed Sylar, and the bomb went off anyway, future hero assumed it was because of Sylar surviving by having Claires poweres. I am guessing the events went alot like they went in the finale. Hiro stabs Sylar, Sylar sends him flying and he teleported out. Only the last time, Claire was in hiding and didn't convince Nathan to change anything so Peter still blew up. But Sylar was still alive in the future ep meaning that he survived this time too. If that makes any sense to anyone. So basically, thinking Sylar had Claires powers was a wrong assumption by future Hiro. And thus, Sylar is still alive. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 Wonder who they're bringing in next season for the bad guy that's supposed to be even worse than the boogeyman. Overall I enjoyed the final. I think people could figure that Nathan was going to help Peter save the day. I really like Hiro ending up in 1600s Japan at the end, that was pretty cool. And I am waaaaay glad that Sylar isn't done with
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 I didn't watch a single episode of Heroes as it aired this season, although I've downloaded each and every episode. The main reason is that I didn't want to start watching a show only to have it canceled, and as time went by and I started to notice how popular it was becoming and that it wasn't going to be canceled afterall, I decided to hold off on watching the episodes until the season was over so that I would have something to watch over the Summer. Well, I finally started watching the episodes on, I believe, Friday, and here it is Monday and I've watched every single episode of the season. When I started, I simply could not stop. Not even Lost does as good a job of making you look forward to the next episode, not even The Shield does it as great as Heroes did this season. So here I am, already without any new episodes of Heroes to watch. I understand the complaints about the finale, but I understand why they did it all. This season was only meant to build up all of the various characters, not to build to a huge finale. That might not make too much sense, but I have a feeling that this series is meant to build to the end of the series as a whole. The plot for this season was to introduce all of the characters, and to stop the destruction of New York. There most certainly was closure to this season, and it happened when they saved NY, when they saved the cheerleader to save the world. Now the stage is set for even larger battles, more power to be revealed. The best is most certainly yet to come. I have a feeling as the series continues, as seasons go by, it'll only get more and more epic. They couldn't, and they should've have, went totally all out in the very first season. The ending to this season was fitting for what this show seems to be all about at this point. Two of my favorite moments of the season both involved Mr. Bennet. The first was his goodbye to Claire a few episodes back, and the other was in the episode last week: "What am I thinking now Parkman?" - Thompson to Parkman "Your last thought!" *shoots him in the head two times*- Bennet to Thompson I can't wait for the second season! chirs3 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 Kinda disappointed there wasn't a Peter/Sylar superbattle, but other than that it was a decent enough finale. And whoever said Hiro's father might be immortal, and might actually be Kensei - awesome. I hope that turns out to be right.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 And whoever said Hiro's father might be immortal, and might actually be Kensei - awesome. I hope that turns out to be right. That's what I was thinking (at least, something along those lines). When he was talking to Hiro about his destiny and pulled the sword out of the scabbard, they showed a reflection that wasn't (I believe) George Takei. That's when I started thinking that he actually was Kensei.

A super battle would have been nice, but it might have pushed the show more towards an X-Men esque show instead it being more like a drama. (IMO)
Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070601/en_nm/ramirez_dc_1 Sopranos" starlet lands "Heroes" role By Nellie Andreeva Fri Jun 1, 1:59 AM ET LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - A new hot young female hero is joining the gang on NBC's hit sci-fi drama "Heroes." Dania Ramirez ("The Sopranos") has been added as a regular on the NBC Universal TV Studio series, which is returning for a second season in the fall. Ramirez will play Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps. Maya is one of four to five new characters expected to be added to "Heroes" next season, but her character might be the only regular one. The other roles, most of which are said to have international flavor, include a sexy boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki's (Ali Larter) son and an Irish mobster. The Dominican Republic-born Ramirez is garnering attention with her recurring role on HBO's "Sopranos," on which she plays A.J.'s (Robert Iler) former fiancee Blanca. She also played Callisto in Fox's "X-Men: The Last Stand." Reuters/Hollywood Reporter
