CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Just saw that Clarke and Hitchcock are out of Philadelphia. Hmm! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Once more, with feeling:
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 No way, Bobby Clarke was let go?! Is nothing sacred anymore in the NHL? I always thought he'd be the GM of the Flyers till he died or retired. 10:1 odds are we've found the 'yotes new GM.
Guest Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Jeremy Roenick is a whopping -6. It's fitting that the worst player in the league plays for the worst team in the league. The Yotes have no redeeming qualities, whatsoever. Philly's actually the worst (sorry to be a dick) on points. That said, I hate Roenick far less on the Coyotes than I did in Philly. Just by points. But as far as having a future, no chance. They're the San Fransisco Giants of the NHL.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Clarke was actually allowed to resign instead of getting the hook. Which will do but I'd have been delighted had he been let go with disgrace.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 Even though it is early, how about Sheldon Souray. Five goals, four assists in seven games. Souray for Norris Trophy.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 a healthy aucoin, a more mature brent seabrook too. there was a lot of unhappiness & dissention between guys like calder, bell, and arneson. blowing up the nucleus was the best thing that happened to them. and to think that ruutu isn't even back yet. can't forget about the guys they picked up last year like vrbata and sharp. they made all of the right moves this offseason. -havlat out for 2-3 weeks -handzus probably out for the year with a torn up knee -khabibulan out for at least 2 weeks with a broken finger goodnight my poor blackhawks, we hardly knew thee
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 23, 2006 Well, that was fast, wasn't it. Wirtz and Pully should have the fire sale going before Thanksgiving.

Annabelle 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 jaromir jagr has a better chance of winning the norris than sheldon souray. he is absolutely brutal defensively.

Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 So Jani Niinamea decides to say that Montreal will win against Buffalo tonight. Despite that, I hope Montreal loses, because I hate when players go on record saying that they'll guarantee a win.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 So Jani Niinamea decides to say that Montreal will win against Buffalo tonight. Despite that, I hope Montreal loses, because I hate when players go on record saying that they'll guarantee a win. If it follows the trend of recent hockey guarantees, they'll beat Buffalo next time, but not tonight. I'm saying this with an asterisk, as I'm assuming Atlanta makes the playoff this year. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Doesn't look like Montreal is winning tonight. Buffalo Sabres - 10-0-0-0. Woo.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Doesn't look like Montreal is winning tonight. Buffalo Sabres - 10-0-0-0. Woo. Only nine. And let's say eight-and-a-half for now. A buddy of mine who's a Sabres fan bet me two hot dogs on the outcome of tonight's contest. Coupled with Havlat's injury, this thread's been chalk full of surprises. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Yep, only 9. Still amazing. Also, has the NHL done away with cross country road trips? I don't see the Sabres playing anywhere out West.
Guest Report post Posted October 24, 2006 They play one division from the West on the road, and one at home. Buffalo hosts the Northwest, and plays on the road against the Central.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Ugh, that sucks. I prefer the days of yore when there would be multiple west coast roadies per year.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 They did away with that to lessen the stress, although they apparently might impliment not this coming season but the season after having everyone play everyone at least once a season plus 8 games per division, and then everything else spread out. Although this is all hypothetically dependent on whether they think its worth it or not.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 not false Semantics. They've lost twice. Buffalo is two wins away from erasing the Leafs from the record books.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 not false Semantics. They've lost twice. Buffalo is two wins away from erasing the Leafs from the record books. That's impressive. Pity about the shitty uniforms the Sabres have though

starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 I just imagine they're still playing in their '93 unis. Whatever works for you. I prefer the original ones (the current alternate sweaters) myself. The thing is that I never thought anyone could ever out ugly the Yellow V or Gorton's Fisherman jerseys. I was dead wrong.

starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Wha about the Purple and Yellow Kings jersey's. Those were ugly, but not that ugly. Besides, it made sense given that the Lakers are there.
