The Niggardly King Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Martyball is finally gonna get that monkey off his back.
The Niggardly King Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 This what I always think of when the Patriots cry for respect
hyperchord24 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 This what I always think of when the Patriots cry for respect You know, when I really think hard about it, I can't find a good, legitimate reason why I absolutely can't stand the patriots. This guy helps.
The Niggardly King Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I hate the Patriots, but I wish that either the Chargers or Eagle could go on a run like they have. The hate for the Patriots gets even worse with the fans of their's around here, as whenever I point out something negative about them... it's the whole "BUT THEY HAVE THREE RING, RESPECT THEM!" routine.
snuffbox Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Looks like '07 will be Marty's last stand.
Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Didn't Jimmy Johnson say that Martyball would be the key to beating the Patriots? Lots of conservative playcalling, relying on Tomlinson. Everyone laughed him off. Oops. That said, Schottenheimer should probably go.
The Robfather Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 QB Vick raises suspicion at Miami airport uh oh.
snuffbox Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Clearly it was planted there by Jim Mora Jr.
devo Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Hoo boy. Of course I don't want to jump to conclusions, but how dumb do you have to be to try and bring marijuana onto an airplane?
The Robfather Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 He can pull a Bonds... he got the bottle from a teammate.
RepoMan Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 This what I always think of when the Patriots cry for respect You know, when I really think hard about it, I can't find a good, legitimate reason why I absolutely can't stand the patriots. This guy helps. The big debate on the sports blogs has been Colts/Pats: who's the lesser of two evils. After seeing that I don't know how anyone outside of NE could root for the Pats. Plus you would still get the opprutunity to see the Colts choke in the Super Bowl.
Art Sandusky Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Hoo boy. Of course I don't want to jump to conclusions, but how dumb do you have to be to try and bring marijuana onto an airplane? It didn't have weed in it, just some residue and a smell. Goddamn, there's worse stuff the NFL needs to worry about players doing. Steroids and having guns and entourages and all that. GET HIS ASS BECAUSE HE GOT HIGH WITH HIS FUCKUP BROTHER
hyperchord24 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I hate the Patriots, but I wish that either the Chargers or Eagle could go on a run like they have. The hate for the Patriots gets even worse with the fans of their's around here, as whenever I point out something negative about them... it's the whole "BUT THEY HAVE THREE RINGS, RESPECT THEM!" routine. It doesn't stop there. That's the universal response from most people who follow sports, be it their profession or otherwise, whether it makes sense or not. I know this is really unfair to speculate, but I wonder how the sports world would view Tom Brady if he hadn't won all those superbowls.
Guest Smues Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Man Mexico should stay away from airports. First the watch thing, now this.
HarleyQuinn Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 If Brady didn't win those Super Bowls, I gather he'd be in the same tier as Donovan McNabb, Marc Bulger, and Steve McNair. Very good quarterbacks who haven't yet won a Super Bowl.
Cheech Tremendous Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 If Brady didn't win those Super Bowls, I gather he'd be in the same tier as Donovan McNabb, Marc Bulger, and Steve McNair. Very good quarterbacks who haven't yet won a Super Bowl. That doesn't make any sense. He won Super Bowls because he's better than all those guys. So you're saying if he wasn't as good as he is, he'd be in the same tier as guys who aren't as good as him? Brilliant.

Cheech Tremendous Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 And how I am stupid? HarleyQuinn wasn't making any sense with his post.
Black Lushus Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 cheech, I gotta tell you man, his post made more sense than your response!
snuffbox Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Alot more. Cheech should stop while he's behind.
Special K Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I understand the point, and all those guys are good-great QB's. but winning the SB does mean a lot. Winning it 3 times even more. I CANNOT believe I am defending Brady
Cheech Tremendous Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I don't see how I'm not making sense. What am I missing? He said Brady wouldn't be considered as great as he is if he didn't win three Super Bowls. He won those because he's a great fuckin quarterback!
hyperchord24 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I don't see how I'm not making sense. What am I missing? He said Brady wouldn't be considered as great as he is if he didn't win three Super Bowls. He won those because he's a great fuckin quarterback! How many of these posts above me prove the point about the whole "They've got the rings, respect them" argument. Dude, how many SBs has Kevin Faulk won? Would you call him a great RB? I've said this before here, the simple fact that you've won a SB absolves you of a lot in this society. The truth of the matter is that it takes a lot of luck to win one as well since a football team can't rely solely on the performance of one player.
Cheech Tremendous Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Does anyone here actually think the Patriots would have won three Super Bowls with Marc Bulger or Steve McNair as their quarterback?
Black Lushus Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Does anyone here actually think the Patriots would have won three Super Bowls with Marc Bulger or Steve McNair as their quarterback? would the teams still have Vinatieri?
snuffbox Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 How many SuperBowls would the Detoit Lions have won if they had Tom Brady? I think 7. At least.
