Smackdown Spoilers for the 12/1 Airing

Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Sylvan (dark match)

 

Show starts with Teddy Long congratulating Batista for his title win. He signs a Triple Threat Match after Booker T invokes his rematch clause and Finlay demands a title shot.

 

MNM defeated London & Kendrick after Regal and Taylor interfered. (non-title)

 

Batista defeated Finlay & Booker T in a Triple Threat Match

 

Krystal defeated Layla

 

Chavo Guerrero defeated Chris Benoit by pinfall (non-title)

 

Undertaker defeated Kennedy by DQ. MVP ran in during the match and Kennedy bailed out. Kane came out to even the odds. (Some other spoilers from the Wrestlecrap boards say it was Taker/MVP and Kennedy ran in)

 

 

Teddy Long announced the following matches for the Armageddon PPV

Kane vs. MVP (Inferno Match)

Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy (Last Ride Match)

Finlay & Booker T vs. Batista & partner of his choosing.

WWE is having WAYYY too many PPVs. 6 in 3 months?

 

Reminds me of the days when it was an PPV month for ECW, that sometimes you'd three straight sunday night PPV's. Of course, then it was only $29.99 and $19.99.

 

Anyways, gimmick heavy show for Armageddon which is to be expected when you put up that many PPV's in such a short span of time.

 

I'm not quite sure they'll use Cena as the partner, although they have teamed alot lately and they would need a cross-over star to help with the buyrate and I don't expect them to use RVD/Sabu/Punk from ECW and no-one aside from DX would help with a draw for the PPV and that just wouldn't make sense. If they don't do the obvious heel turn with Lashley, then they might put him into the match given his recent history with Booker and Finlay but it's hardly special doing that. Cena, probably is the only option and I figure the reasoning would be based off the champions of champions situation.

 

The problem with having Cena team with Batista in a non-smarky crowd is Cena stands to get a bigger reaction and it'd hurt Batista to look less important then the invited guest.

Wait wait...I thought MNM said they were only getting back together for one night only at the ECW PPV?

So why the hell are they having a match on Smackdown?

Jesus, can we just kill the brand extension already? People are just showing up on other shows completely unexplained.

Look at this way,

 

MNM are teaming together again for the ECW PPV, technically Mercury is a Smackdown wrestler, and since Mercury is technically still a Smackdown wrestler having his tag partner for Sunday teaming with him in a match on Smackdown...somewhat.....kinda sort of works...Its WWE logic, bear with me.

 

It hasn't been said that Matt Hardy is a Raw wrestler, technically he's also a Smackdown wrestler, the reason why the Hardy's teamed together on ECW was because they were in the S.S. match and were "invited" by Heyman to wrestle on ECW since they're "Team Xtreme".

 

And I guess the Hardy's were "Invited" again by Heyman to wrestle on ECW's ppv and since they threw out a open challange, Nitro and Mercury worked out their issues from the past and are teaming together for the ppv and since Mercury is still technically a Smackdown wrestler, having Nitro and Melina as guests on Smackdown and wrestling a match to help promote the two matches booked ECW PPV, works..

 

GODDAMN I HATE WWE LOGIC!!

 

plus Melina and Batista are in the same locker room for a night.

 

And no we can't end the brand extension because I can't put up with basically 3 nights of Raw booking.

Kane vs MVP in an inferno match? Wont this be difficult now that Kane doesnt wear a shirt?

well I was on the edge about going to Armageddon, but with stuff like an inferno match AND a last ride match, it'll push me to go.

Agreed. Why put the title on a guy who needs to be protected in 3 ways and tag matches? Good workers aren't even pulling good matches out of Batista at the moment.

This will be the 2nd time one year later at the same PPV that Batista will be involved in a tag team match as the World Heavyweight Champion without having to defend the damn thing!

Did they explain why Nitro and Melina suddenly are back in business with Mercury again...didn't they kick him out of MNM

 

The media-loving Johnny Nitro forgave his ex-tag team partner Joey Mercury and, like The Hardys, decided to reunite MNM. Why? In order to accept Jeff and Matt’s open challenge issued at the December to Dismember press conference.

 

The ECW pay-per-view, live from the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Ga., next Sunday, will be the first time Nitro and Mercury have teamed together since Judgment Day in May when they lost their WWE Tag Team Championship. Still, Nitro believes the chemistry MNM had is still alive and well.

 

“Every family has differences,” said a smiling Nitro. “Brothers fight; we fight hard, but that’s no big deal to us.”

 

The wounds from the past have been patched and healed, which has given Mercury a new zest. And with the daunting challenge of taking on the dynamic Hardys, MNM will need all the zest they can get.

 

“MNM is back for one night only, and the most prolific, young tag team in WWE history will rise again,” said Mercury. “The future is now and the future is looking bright.”

 

Nitro added, “Mercury and I are there for each other, and when MNM comes back at December to Dismember we’re coming to dismember The Hardys. We’re going to deck the halls with guts of Hardys, fa--la--la--la--la... b--tch.”

 

On ECW on Sci Fi, and at Survivor Series, The Hardys have proven that they haven’t lost a step in their hiatus. At December to Dismember will MNM live up to their words and do the same?
