Hannibal Rising looks like shit in a bag

Me too. I don't WANT sympathy for Hannibal Lecter. He's supposed to be this genius, unforgiving monster of a man and shouldn't have a fucking backstory that tries to make you empathize with him.

Guest A.BUTCHER'S HOUSE OF RIBS

It's good to see Pan's Labyrinth still pulling in good numbers.

Children of Men/Pan's Labyrinth is pretty much the only reason to go to theaters these days.

But you'll probably have to travel to a non-local one to see them.

I know he's nominated for an Oscar and all that, but I just have to say that I'm surprised at how successful Eddie Murphy still is, because 90% (or more) of the films he's been in in the last......12 years at least.....have been complete shit. Seriously, the best things he's done in the last 12 years have probably been the Shrek films. I don't know about Dreamgirls either. I have heard that it's really not as good as people say it is.

Bowfinger and Life are the only ones I can think of, since I haven't seen Dreamgirls yet.

Most Murphy movies follow a simple formula of... don't expect anything from them, and don't see them at the theaters. There are a ton of movies that I didn't expect shit from that I've seen in the last 5 months... friends have dragged me to see them, and those films managed to just even go beyond my worst expectations... but somehow Norbit didn't.
