RonL21 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 I don't know if Kyle Orton holding the keys is the safest scenario. 2005 Season... Orton Starts after 1-3 Bears Record...pulls of 8 game winning streak..... He deserves a shot...Can't get any worse
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 If I recall, Orton was actually atrocious. I remember when Grossman got healthy at the end of that season, everyone was so glad to see him come in and make huge throws (that were mostly incomplete). It was obvious they were tired of Kyle Orton by that point (and he wasn't even a full season in his rookie year).

Guest Gym Class Fallout Report post Posted October 1, 2007 I always wonder why Kyle Orton got 3rd String when he had the great year a couple years ago as a Rookie.. Because Kyle Orton is bad at football. But great at neckbeards. He could go toe to toe with our own CronoT and possibly come out on top.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Donovan McNabb is fucking trash. My post from a few weeks ago will ring true for a long time. Not that i agree or disagree, but I don't see how you can use the game where he got sacked at least a dozen times to say he is trash.

Not that i agree or disagree, but I don't see how you can use the game where he got sacked at least a dozen times to say he is trash. That wasn't the game to make me really believe he's trash, but it helped support my opinion. I say that because this wasn't the Donovan McNabb that could escape the pass rush like he was able to a few years back. I didn't realize his speed was that far gone. Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Did you watch the game? The Flash couldn't excape that. Andy Reid, I guess was waiting on sack number 7 from Osi Umenyiora to think maybe he should think about kinda helping the guy with his first start on the offensive line. Donavan had 3-4 guys on him almost every play. Those sacks had nothing to do with lack of pocket presense, because there was no pocket. But maybe he was calling the wrong audibles to pick up the blitzs. Or maybe someone should have noticed that they had 5 yards per carry on 20 runs in the game and maybe should have run the ball some more. But this game shouldn't even solidify an opinion on the QB, because jesus, that was just a slaughter.

Andy Reid, I guess was waiting on sack number 7 from Osi Umenyiora to think maybe he should think about kinda helping the guy with his first start on the offensive line. No, I didn't watch it, but I saw the sacks. Osi's sacks were pretty much unpreventable, but there were others that left me shaking my head. Old McNabb gets out of the way of those. There's no way I'm watching an Eagles-Giants game. But this game shouldn't even solidify an opinion on the QB, because jesus, that was just a slaughter. It solidified my opinion on Andy Reid too. The guy's an idiot. When you let your QB get sacked 12 times, you as a coach aren't doing something right. That's not even their biggest concern though, when you give up 12 sacks to a team that came into the game with 4...let's just say those linemen have a lot of running to do at practice. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Thus far I have to question the whole accepted theory that the AFC is vastly better than the NFC. I'm not sure I see it at this point in the season. All I'm seeing in the AFC are the Colts and Patriots with maybe the Steelers in there as a distant 3rd. The Chargers have tanked, Ravens are aging (last year might have been their last shot), and no one else has really been too amazing. I don't know if the NFC has anyone good enough to actually win the Super Bowl, but they do have the Cowboys and Packers at 4-0, Seahawks are solid again, Detroit is much improved, and Tampa Bay has been pretty good although they lost Cadillac Williams. Really the NFC has had several teams step up while only 2 have performed well under expectations (Saints, Bears), while the AFC has had the Chargers and maybe Ravens under perform without much of anyone filling the void. His strong point has never been in game adjustments, but last night was honestly the worst coached game I have ever seen this team have. At this point you just have to assume he is way too stubborn to ever deviate from his own gameplan, no matter what the defense shows you.
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 So is there any doubt left that Norv Turner is one horrible coach? Can they just go ahead and replace him with Bill Cowher now since we all know it's coming at the end of the season anyways?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Well seeing as they waited too long to fire their last coach, I don't expect them to give him the ax until the week before next season starts.

It's hard to tell how good Dallas is. They've been beating up bottom dwellers. 0-4 Miami 1-3 Chicago 0-4 St. Louis The Giants are the only team they've beat that is .500. The teams Dallas has played has a combined 3-13 record and they got Buffalo next. Umm, yeah.

Buffalo, NYJ, and a proven to be shitty with Turner SD and a non-existant defense isn't a good gauge of just how talented they are. Indy has looked good against teams that appear to be slightly better.
