MillenniumMan831 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I think Colin Delaney is WWE's answer to Shark Boy.
Nate Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 for some reason I think Colin will pull out a shock win (ala Barry Horwitz) and Joey will scream COLIN WINS!!! COLIN WINS!!!!!!!!!
LJSexay Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 ECW (and Smackdown, but a little less so lately) is a great workrate show. I liked almost everything I saw. Especially Leyla.
WukenBloodstar Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Terrible ending to Punk vs Chavo, what again is the point in making Chavo look like a bitch against CM Punk?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 It's nothing Chavo hasn't done before, except he got caught. I think Colin Delaney is Mikey Version 2.
Exslade ZX Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Yea, just got around to seeing it, and man that Diva Dance off was horrible. I'm aware it wasn't going to be a work of art or anything...but this 'new diva' just had a very boring voice/personality...I thought at least, when she said she was going to dance, maybe they hired her for her dancing skills or something, and then she proceeded to show me nothing. Oh, and Kelly still can't dance. Still hot as fuck, but she can't dance.
The Truthiness Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 It's nothing Chavo hasn't done before, except he got caught. I think Colin Delaney is Mikey Version 2. Mikey use to get a punch in.
Thanks for the Fish Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Worst ECW offering in a while. Complete lack of sizzle - it was just there. I like Punk working with the wily veteran Chavo, but Chavo hasn't been over in a long time and doesn't bring any fan interest to his matches. Kelly Kelly is a collossal waste of television time. Yang and Moore are too mismashed to be accepted as a legit tag team and have been jobbers for too long to get over as legit threats. Even if they win the titles, they'll just bring the titles down, rather than the titles bringing them up. If wwe had plans for this Colin Delany character they would have used a developmental in the spot. I think they keep using him because he's one scrawny dude who can make a squash look like a million bucks.
boobshaw Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Lena Yada may've been the worst female debut of all time.
cabbageboy Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 This was a pretty good show. The wrestling was really solid on it, though the booking got a bit repetitive in terms of not having any real finishes.
MillenniumMan831 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Shark Boy gets offense... and is over. I was just referring to the jobs and bandages. But I do appreciate no one saying Shark Boy wears a mask.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Is anyone convinced they'll do Punk Benjamin at WM?
Hawk 34 Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 I was thinking they were doing that at Rumble especially since Chavo has failed to win twice (but now that makes me think they'll do an extreme rules stip). Punk/Benjamin would be a fine match. I think this is the best singles persona of Shelton's career, now that they have carefully scripted his promos and given him a clear direction.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 I dont know who else they could put up against him for the title at WM though..and it seems like it has some build ever since Shelton showed up in ECW. It should be a really good match too...
Hawk 34 Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 They could always go outside of ECW in the way of Kennedy, Umaga or any other mid-card heel.
King Cucaracha Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 That's if they have an ECW Title match, of course. Punk's position on the card and style makes him a natural candidate for a MITB match again this year.
majormayhem1 Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Shelton had a good promo this week because he didn't shout his catch phrase.
