Mik 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 He used to be. Little Penny was great. I don't know how many posters here are old enough to remember. This is some game so far. Electric atmosphere and both teams are shooting the lights out. It's a rare non-ACC regular season game that I make a point to watch but this is a great damn game. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 I am glad Tennessee won tonight. What will be so funny is that Memphis may just fall to #2 and then end back up and #1 once Tennessee loses at Vandy this coming week. Let's just say I'd be shocked if the Vols didn't have a massive letdown there. Tennessee....they won at Memphis, but still can't figure out how to beat UK, haha. Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Cowboy, are you from Indiana or the West Lafayette area? Just wondering with the Purdue chat. Ya. From Indiana. You? I'm from Tennesee, but I got a girlfriend that goes to Purdue. Probably moving up there within the next 2-3 months. Guess I'm gonna get used to a lot of bad blood from Hooiser and Boilermaker fans. Sadly had to work tonight, but from the highlights, it looked like an awesome game for Memphis and Tennessee. Tennessee being #1 and ahead of their women's team is something I thought I'd never see. Guest Michael Myers Resplendent Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Black on black? When will they start wearing jerseys with every team's logo on them?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 I believe the black jerseys are in response to the teams poor play as of late. Ernie Kent had "taken away" the last names for the USC game on Thursday night. I don't know if he'll have a "white out" on the home jerseys. I think it has to say the teams name on the jersey, hence the "black on black".

Gert T 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 The Big 12 is a bit of a mess right now, with Kansas State and Texas A&M forgetting how to win conference games. BTW apparently the Oregon jerseys were a fashion statement and not punishment. Yuck.
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I just have to wonder, am I the only person who was pissed that Memphis lost? Not because I love Memphis or anything like that. It's because now, we have to stomach UTK being #1. And that will never, ever sound right. Edit: 29 Hours Later, the Orange Menace lost. That was a shaky couple of hours. ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 People saying Tennessee's overrated don't understand how good Vandy is at home. Especially when UT came into the game physically drained after Saturday night. They had people cramping up for gods sakes. They play 94 feet for 40 minutes. Both on the road both against archrivals. Two days from each other. Tennessee won'l lose again pre-tournament. Bank on it.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I noticed a few weeks ago that Tennessee had Memphis and Vandy back to back on the road and thought that was insane. Vandy is nearly invincible at home, so this was hardly a bad loss. It's weird because while I don't think Tennessee is overrated, I'd love for U of L to be in their bracket. I think we'd destroy them inside. Under Pitino U of L owns the Vols.
