Which is a shame.

Here's a question for you: Is the movie called "Step Up 2: The Streets" or "Step Up 2 The Streets", because I've never heard of "Step Up". Movie commercials make it sound like it is a sequel but th title arrangement and relatively obscurity to my circle of friends and myself of a first "Step Up" has them thinking the "2" is street talk. I suppose I could just look this up myself but I enjoy asking the community questions.

Also, kinda bummed that there's nothing I want to see this Tuesday or apparently next... we had a good 3 week run with the return of our Tuesday Movie Night group.

It might be, but Box Office Mojo only counts 600+. It was only in 111 theaters.

No. In fact Blonde Ambition with Jessica Simpson had a worse PSA when it was released last December. There are other movies that have been worse.

And after seeing it's Friday's numbers, I had to see the Hottie and the Nottie. It's pretty awful, and a total vanity project for Hilton.

fantasy moguls has some great insight into how bad Hottie did-

The weekend's biggest punchline, however, is reserved for Paris Hilton's The Hottie & the Nottie (Regent Releasing). The final count will show that the critically reviled comedy featuring the seemingly talentless Hilton will sell a meager $25,500 in tickets at 111 locations over the weekend. That's only $230 per screen for the theatres that were convinced to book this disaster. That means that, based on an $8 average ticket price, 29 paying customers showed up at each location over the 3-day. In a country that seems fascinated with Paris Hilton, only 3,219 unlucky Americans will have been suckered into seeing Hottie by Monday morning. (fantasymoguls)

That's basically less than 2 people per show.

It's a quasi-sequel to Step Up. Channing Tatum reprises his role, but I think it's just a bit part.

Christine Lakin was recently in the Game Plan, but her scenes were cut out.

and I wanna know how Christine Lakin (Al on Step By Step) got duped into being in that stupid Paris Hilton movie as the ugly chick..

Especially considering she's prettier than Hilton is in real life.

I think ugly women are probably the most discriminated people in Hollywood? When's the last time there was a movie where one of the leads was an ugly chick that was actually played by an ugly chick? They're all played by hot women! I want protests in the street dammit!

Wow, Al was getting pretty hot towards the end of Step by Step and she's pretty damn hot right now.

I like to think of that movie as Save the last dance. Only they got rid of all those pesky black people.

I do believe the intial title of Step Up was indeed "Black people can't dance like two white people".

Whats even worse is the star of that film is going to be Duke in the GI Joe movie. At least we now know that it'll have a kick ass dance number.

Its nostalgia speaking. Watch the old cartoons. They pretty much sucked. The comics were kinda awesome sometimes although I didn't like how Storm Shadow was basically Kenny from South Park for awhile there, but the cartoon pretty much sucked ass.

They should make the movie a parody. And kill Duke violently, like with a big FUCKING SPEAR THROUGH THE HEART. Only make everyones lines about him being dead get obviously dubbed over with lines about him being in a coma. Only old schoolers would get the joke, but seriously, this movie ain't making money anyway.

it's not nostalgia really...Marlon Wayans??? Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander??? Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity???

I do like Dennis Quaid as General Hawk, though. Also, Arnold Vosloo is cast as Zartan, but I think he'd make a pretty good Destro.

I have no problem with Joe, he just seems to young to play a character I imagine as way older than me. That's what happens when you get old.

Eh...I hear the movie is sort of a "GI Joe Begins" type of thing...hence the younger crew to start....not sure when/where I should spoiler tag other things I've learned....
