Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 So MLB 2k8 comes out today. I'm not sure about the show. Anybody played it yet? I always hate getting MLB and NBA games without reading reviews for it to see if one is superior than the other.
TheSSNintendo 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2008 I've got a PSP, and I'm trying to decide which game to get. I'll find out by the reviews.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 MLB The Show was so much better than the MLB 2K7 last year, but I'll have to check out reviews before buying one.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 Isn't the Show exclusive to the Playstation consoles? If so, I'm screwed.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 Yep. I bought The Show last year, fell in love with it for two months, and haven't played it since.
Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I also loved The Show last year, but after playing NBA 2K8, I'm thinking about giving their MLB product a chance.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 The Show is exclusive to the Playstation systems. Â I do look forward to 2k8 for the new pitching interface.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 AHH THIS CAME OUT TODAY?? Â *looks like I'll be trading in games at FYE*

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 isn't that par for the course with multiplatform games on the Wii?
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I only own a Wii, but I was sort of looking forward to this. Is is still worth it?
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I got The Show today. After 2K6 and 2K7 being basically the exact same game (and extremely buggy at that) I've decided to switch brands this season. The franchise seems very in depth, I've only explored it a little bit so far but I like what I see.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I downloaded the demo and even though it seems the same as last years Show gameplay wise. Graphics wise, it is 10 times better.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 Bought a copy today. The Show already has a roster available online.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I'm stuck with the prospect of 2K8 since I'd like to play online and I doubt many will be on PS2 for it. I read IGN's review, but the guy seemed to harp on the fact that it wasn't "authentic" enough. All I want to know is if fielders don't boot simple catches anymore and I don't hit 43 homers a game like in 2K6.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 I only own a Wii, but I was sort of looking forward to this. Is is still worth it? Â No internet play, roster updates and the Minor League part (90+ real minor league teams and most stadiums) is out as well and from what I read, its not as deep simulation wise since its meant to be an arcade/sim hybrid for the dreaded "Casual gamer"
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2008 Well isn't that what most Wii owners are? 33 year old women ask if we have games for it at work. And it isn't for their kids.
Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2008 The last baseball game I bought was MVP '05. I'm leaning towards giving MLB the Show a shot this year but am unsure because I have never played the series. Is it very user friendly/realistic? I'm interested to hear which game people prefer before I make a buy.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2008 Last year I played every single game in a season in MLB The Show. That's how good it was. But I don't have a PS3, and if I were to get it it'd be for PS2, which sucks. I really don't want to get 2K8 since it's not on that level.

Guest Smues Report post Posted March 6, 2008 Picked up The Show and 2K8 last night. Huzzah getting my free hat again this year, after getting hosed last year by buying used. And whoop-dee-do on the 2K8 freebies: 5$ off at Lids and a Jose Reyes bobblehead. OMG!
KingPK 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 There's a demo available on XBox Live. I tried it out and the pitching controls seemed like they were going to take forever to get used to, but on my second game I was getting the hang of it. I'll probably pick it up once the price drops to $40.
Guest tonyjaymzretro Report post Posted March 7, 2008 any news on MLB 08 for psp? is it worth picking up?
