Man, they just keep catching me with off the wall shit, on this show.

Tara's mom is fucking awesome; I almost died when she tried to see some pussy to the loan officer. The exorcism, was great, I had hoped the demon was going to fly out of the mom and in to Tara, but when the possum started tripping, my hope died. I like where they're going with the Tara's whole storyline, in the last few weeks, she has been through some off the wall shit, from seeing Jason stripping for Lafayette, to a needle the size of an ice pick inserted in to Jason's dick twice, Jason high on V fucking the blond in the back of the bar, after she'd finally thought he had changed. Then her mother beating her with Vodka bottles, made a full out of herself at Ms. Stackhouse funeral, claimed to having a demon inside of her, sucking vodka off her dirty robe, soliciting a bank teller, and the finally having a demon casted out of her, only for the voodoo lady to tell her (Tara) that she to possessed a demon, Tara's life is the most fucked up out of all them. On top all of that shit, she has to keep Sookie out her head, because of her relationship with Sam.

Jason is still awesome, and finds some new pussy seemingly every episode. I have feeling it's not going to end well for Jason, I think his V addiction might get him killed, or he might end up becoming a vamp.

Detective Bellefleur's shell shocked cousin is hilarious. How he just wrote off Sam running through a field naked, like it was a normal occurrence was funny as shit.

Sookie seemed kind of off tonight.

I'm glad they didn't focus much on Bill, keeps him kind of fresh. I wished they didn't kill the uncle off so quickly, but it made sense.

Lafayette fucking with the hillbilly’s food was funny. I hate that they killed the Jason/Laf combo, because those 2 are hilarious together. I know they did it to put over Jason's addiction, but I wished they could have held it off a while.

The Hillbillies bombing the Vamp's home, was tremendous. It's funny that these 3 morons are

I doubt they've killed off the Laff/Jason combo yet, Laff just didn't want to give him drugs. They pretty much addressed it in the same scene with Jason comically coming in asking if he knew where to score some after being roughhoused out.

I Like the Laff character but I think they gave him too much shit. He's a grill shef -slash- porn start/hooker -slash- drug dealer -slash- road worker. They should have just kept him cool rather than being a jack of all trades. Jason's another good story, he'll be a junkie losing everything by the end of the series. Terra and her mother was a good story but it will probably be over now, except maybe showing the mother cured & Terra going for it.

Sookie is probably the worst character in the show, since the first episode she's grated on me, especially (as someone else pointed out) the majority of her story is a shitty soap opera, the only time she's interesting is when she's away from Bill. She's attractive but really she's Claire Daines with bad teeth. It's just a good thing someone told her by episode 2 to put down her upper lip when she smiles like a girl who's just gotten braces. I don't see why there was all this excitment about her tits too, the girl tonight blew her away. Infact most of the naked women have been hotter.

more proof that sam's a werewolf with his nude "dawn/early morning" jogs and the mention of a full moon the night before. The mention that his family is not around. The friendship with the dog (Shame on the people who thought he was a dog after scenes they were in together. They probably have a way of communicating or sensing the same things, but keep it simple. The show definatly does.) And again, it's a simple way to put him as the rival for Sookie's arm: the enemy of the vampire.

Of course this is all speculation.

It was another pretty solid episode this week, the show has been in a sequence of good episode followed by a very good episode. I hated the first week but it has progressed and been enjoyable. The show does have a terrible tendancy to end on a non-cliffhanger.

Tit Clock Count:

Caplan- 2 weeks straight

Pacquin- 3 weeks straight

Good episode tonight, did well in progressing the theory/rumors that Sam is a werewolf and hopefully the ending sheds some light on the vampire bar and Eric. Sookie and Bill gettin' it on in the dirt made me laugh a but but the stuff with Rene and Irene and their kids was sweet and well done.

I didn't like Lizzy Caplan that much in terms of acting until near the end when she ditched the hippie bullshit and got junkie serious. Nice to see Stephen Root get work.

Odds that Sam kills Andy when he calls him on his shit?

Me and my roommate were waiting for Sam to wake up naked on the bed at the end and sure enough. I am really looking forward to seeing Bill's trial at the vampire tribunal next week.

Caplan has now tied Pacquin for tits, three weeks strong.

Glad to see I'm not the only one digging this show, really cool concept and I like this it's dispelling the traditional vampire myths while creating some new ones. I don't see Sam being a werewolf or anything, not sure if I want the show to go that route. I think he just hates Bill because he knows that Sookie can be more herself around him then anybody and I just chalked the bed-smelling thing up to a weird obsession thing.

Something is for sure up with the dog, though. It's like it's either protecting/observing Sookie or maybe even something like it's a reincarnated human.

Oh and Lafayette is the MVP of the show, easy. The AIDSBurger rant last night had me rolling.

I'm thinking Sam is the dog. Like a shapeshifter or something.

:)

I'm surprised they couldn't hold out on Pacquin's nude shot since they have Caplan running around naked all the time.

I also have a feeling Bill knew about Sam before hand, which is why he asked him to watch over Sookie.

I wonder why they chose a dog though. I mean a werewolf I would understand since the mythology of vampires and werewolves have intersected a bunch through the years, but a dog?

The show is getting better every week. Through the first few episodes I didn't think it was that great but it did just enough to keep me watching, but after last night's episode, daaaamn.

I really wish they would lay off the Ancient Vampyre Hierarchal Mythology shit in this show, since they're really bad at it. First of all it's just a really unoriginal and derivitave way to go about it; not just in general, but even in the details. Being punished by the vampire council by being imprisoned in a chain-wrapped coffin until your body wastes away and your mind goes insane? Direct steal from the Laurell K. Hamilton books. And I'm just sick and damn tired of eeeevil vampire secret societies where the dignified old white guy in a nice suit is the leader and preaches about how they're so superior and humans are just cattle, meanwhile all his followers are dressed in crazy goth bar outfits and are howling and overacting like they're henchmen in an Mad Max movie or some damn thing. I've seen that way too many times, and it still doesn't make sense. Apparently there's one vampire for every million human beings, and any ordinary mortal is apparently totally capable of killing a vampire pretty easily, but they act like the humans don't matter?

This show's heart is in the interactions between the unique characters, which are truly fascinating to watch (well, except for Tara's mother, whom I always find just awful, but anyway). So it depresses me when they ignore that to go do standard slasher movie shit, like the bit where Sookie was somehow totally unable to get a look at the face of a man who was six inches in front of her. Yeah I know it was dark and everything, but if it was that dark then how was the killer able to see her? Less bullshit like that, more just Jason and Tara and Lafayette and the supporting cast all being themselves, pleez.

And oh yeah could they have foreshadowed the crazy vet Terry any harder as the killer? It's so obvious that it makes me wonder if it's a red herring.

If he is the killer, it would really suck since they only mentioned him twice so far this season prior to this episode.

So am I the only one still watching? If so, the rest of you did yourselves a favor. The season finale was fucking terrible. They quickly hurried to finish up the serial killer plot in a fairly anticlimactic manner, and I still have a hard time buying it. I mean, the Cajun guy? That's your deadly mystery? It's like the writers didn't know who it was until now either, since they went out of their way to explain how Sookie had never read his mind in the many long stretches of time that their characters were close to each other before now. And then he gets put out of his misery right quick, just so we can spend the majority of the show setting up cliffhangers for next year, which is about the most annoying thing any show can do for a season ender. I mean, jesus, your average finale on Lost answers more questions and gives more closure than this one did.

I've got the first two books, but it's been so long since I read them that I'd utterly forgotten absolutely everything about them. I was gonna go back again after the season ended and refresh my memory, but tonight's episode left such a bad taste in my mouth now I'm not sure if I want to.

The better half explained a lot of what's coming up since she read all of the books. Shit gets fucking complicated. Lots of people are different.

I liked it, but I also guessed who it was a few episodes ago. They did rush it, which I wasn't a fan of, and they reeeeeeally dumbed it down.

The tape of "Cajun Accents for Actors" might as well have been a picture of Renee with the word "KILLER!" under it. Completely stupid and just catering to the fucking idiots who still might not have gotten it even though he was chasing her.

All in all, I'm not going to complain. I saw Anna Paquin's boobies so the show is a success.

The whole series is dumbed down, even though I understand why they took some things in different directions. I got through maybe 3/4 of the first book, where I had to stop before I flung the book at the wall as hard as I could.

There are not many authors who can write books from a first-oerson perspective, and do it well. Charlaine Harris cannot. The first book is extremely annoying.

The whole thing about Rene being the killer bothered me. It's not a good swerve if they play the character to be a total good guy up until you find out that one thing about them. THEN they play total heel. They could have made the killer anyone by using that formula, lazy.

I enjoyed the first season though.

So who is that one lady that knows Sam. Is she another shape shifter? It looked like in the scene with her and the pig, maybe she was trying to shape shift or something.
