I love the idea of doing year-end awards. It just feels right given the season. It seems like that whole week between Christmas and New Year's is bombarded with magazines and tv shows doing their end of the year lists. I always advocate TSM being self-aggrandizing.

Sure. What I was thinking was that we can follow the same thing we're doing in Music, which is to just make any list you want, to which anyone can add or argue, and then compile them all at the end. The stuff you wrote can be in the one for this folder, and we can do one for sports, and TV, and so on. We'll put them at the tippity-top so nobody can miss it! I'll put Draft Faggotry up there too so I can atone for my sins!

It really doesn't. I've come to enjoy college more than pro ball recently. I get more emotionally involved in Memphis games than I do watching the Nets. If Memphis loses, it's a long night, while if the Nets lose, I just don't care as much as I used to.

 

I like the 20 minute halves, the possession arrows, the bands, it's just more fun to watch.

I'm not a fan of college sports... or sports, really (hockey, baseball, and whenever darts from England is being aired - but even then it's a casual viewer and not someone googling stats daily) but I'll give basketball it's due for having a big ass tournament instead of a lame ass board of directors determining a champion (if that's not how college football really works, I apologize for my ignorance).

 

Also, I think only 5% of Canadians care about this stuff, so, yeah.
