Scroby 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 Another thing that should have made it clear that it was bullshit is that trying to "cremate" someone alive probably wouldn't qualify for TV-PG. It's a PPV, I'm pretty sure those ratings really don't apply when it comes to PPV.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 No, the supposed (fake) storyline had Kane being cremated or attempted to be, on Raw before Mania.

RepoMan 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I don't think Cole is a great announcer or anything, but I never got why he's so hated by much of the IWC. I'd much rather hear him call match oppossed to Schovonie or the TNA guys.

Enigma 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 The main reason I hate Michael Cole is that nothing that comes out of his mouth feels geniune or natural. Everyone is given the same lines, but Jim Ross is miles ahead of selling the vision naturally than Cole is. I could never fully enjoy Edge's surprise title victory in May 2007 over Undertaker because Cole insisted on screaming about what a "piranha" Edge was and had to use the word "piranha" about 10 times. It was goofy as hell and really took away from the moment. He's done this all the time, such as screaming "WHAT A BULLY!" about 15 times during an A-Train match after they turned up his heel push in 2002. Just annoying shit that feels 100% forced. WWE originally wanted a TV-MA rating for the first One Night Stand show, but whoever was supposed to do it didn't. So they had to bleep "fuck" and "shit" to maintain their TV-14. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 You know, I just had a thought. Have Chris Jericho and The Undertaker ever had a one on one match on TV? If so, I can't remember it. Celtic Jobber 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Question: what's this Benoit reference that Striker made recently that I've been hearing a lot about, but nothing really specific? I don't know, I never heard anything about an incident between Striker and Benoit. The only hazing incidents I've heard about involving Benoit were the way he, JBL, and Taker supposedly harrassed the Dicks ("Tank" Toland and Chad Wicks) to the point that they fought each other and got fired. And of course the time he made Davari do Hindu squats until he was pissing blood for several days.
cd213 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 IIRC, Davari wasn't forced to do them, he wanted to do them.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Striker pissed people off when he first got signed and Benoit threw him and his bags out of the locker room.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Striker does dead-on impressions of people like Steve Austin and The Undertaker, and Benoit took exception to it for some reason. Probably because he was losing his mind. That's all I know. EDIT-Combine my post with Spike's and you have an answer.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Well it probably isn't in the best interest of WWE women to land chest first on a move. Then again, it's essentially the same bump they would take for Beth's "Glam Slam" finisher.

Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 I believe Benoit (and Guerrero) took exception to Strikers Owen Hart impersonation (which he thought was being disrespectful) and kicked him out of the lockerroom perminently. Striker would have to change in stairwells for a time.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 IIRC, Davari wasn't forced to do them, he wanted to do them. Exactly. I believe it was the insane amount of Hindu squats that Benoit used to do that did so much damage to Davari. I remember a story about Davari noticing brown "specks" in his urine and going to a doctor about it. Turns out it was dead muscle from his legs, caused by doing so many of the squats, and it was his body's way of removing it. Well it probably isn't in the best interest of WWE women to land chest first on a move. Then again, it's essentially the same bump they would take for Beth's "Glam Slam" finisher. *DING DING DING* We have a winner! WWE probably figured they couldn't have both of their Diva champions using a similar finisher.
