Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 Jericho's book is really good. Right under Foley's first one. About 100 pages into Bret's book and it's great. I was worried about already hearing most of his stories through shoot interviews, but that's not the case. Great book so far
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 Amusing sidenote- I was looking on Amazon for other wrestling related books and noticed that former WWF and WCW job guy Dusty Wolfe has written an autobiography. Can we officially say that wrestler autobiographies have jumped the shark now? Come to think of it though, a job guy's autobiography could be somewhat interesting. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 A 6th row floor seat for the Royal Rumble, seasons 1 and 2 of 30 Rock, Dark Knight, the Eddie Viva La Raza set, the Colbert "I Am America (And So Can You)" desk calendar, various gift cards ($30 for Subway~!, plus a combined $40 for Blockbuster from my aunt and cousin which I suspect will be payment for the Edge DVD and part of the Starrcade DVD), a scratch lottery gift pack, a tin of Kisses, and a bit of cash that was promptly lost at my mom and I's 2nd Annual Christmas at the Casino outing. I knew most of that was coming as I hand picked it (and in the case of the Rumble ticket, was the person that was online dealing with Ticketmaster's seemingly random ticket assignment when trying to get an advanced ticket) but it's still fun unwrapping things on Christmas. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 26, 2008 I didn't get anything, since I don't live near any family and my friends are too cheap to buy presents for anyone but their own families as well. I did, however, make a pretty damn good roasted ham which preceded the worst time in the bathroom I've ever had (although the relief following it was pretty great in its own right). To make up for the crappy day, I'm probably going to hit up the bar and shoot some pool, have a couple drinks. I think I'm getting a couple gifts shipped from folks, though. Probably a hoodie and/or a coffee mug like I usually get. I certainly appreciate it though, and my grandmas gave me some cash which I'm using to pay for some debts that desperately needed paying. Oh, and I also bought a pretty sweet safety razor shaving kit with it all, which is both practical and sort of stylish.. best shave I've ever had.

garfieldsnose 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 For the third Christmas in a row, all I asked for is the wrestling DVDs I do not have, and I didn't get any. I'm beginning to think my family thinks I'm a retard for watching wrestling. Whatever bitches. Anyways, my girlfriend got me a remote control holder (it's pretty sweet since I have 3 remotes), an awesome jacket which I probably won't button up , and made me a large picture frame with pics and Harry Kalas' call of the Phillies winning the World Series. My parents got me a nice mock turtleneck shirt, a Phillies WS hoodie, a Phillies WS hat, two WS pennants, a Phillies calendar, and two Phillies Upper Deck Baseball Series miniature cars. My aunts and uncles got me in no order: an Applebees gift card, a Pizza Hut gift card, a Phillies WS beach towel that I'm just gonna hang on my wall, a nice pair of boots, a nice shirt from Aeropostale, $200, a pair of XBOX 360 underwear (which came in a tin shaped like a controller, so I thought they got me an xbox, but they didn't, so there's no reason for me to have this underwear, but oh well, oh holy comma splice). My grandmom gave me $10 and an Applebees gift card. And my girlfriend's mom gave me the Phillies WS DVD, the Phillies WS Sports Illustrated edition, and an ipod armband for when I work out, since I needed one terribly. My family got my gf and I a new digital camera, which is pretty awesome. All in all, I'm satisfied with my gifts. I didn't expect the Phillies WS DVD, so I felt like an idiot after I bought it on Amazon yesterday morning before getting all my gifts. Oops.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 I did pretty well; some money, the Office s3 and 30rock s1 from the parents. My brother went nuts and picked me up about twenty different of the new Cobra Viper GI Joe's.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 27, 2008 That's a shitload of Phillies World Series gear there. Yikes. I received a couple more gifts in the mail today! I got Alton Brown's cookbook I'm Just Here For The Food and a red Cuba shirt, to replace the one I lost some time ago. Fairly happy with these two things. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 Well, we do have to gorge ourselves with enough stuff to cover us for the next 25 years when we get a title. The WS DVD is awesome, I have watched the first five minutes where the players read Jim Salisbury's day after column about 20 times. I gorged myself the day after, so the only Phils stuff I got was a mug, keychain, the SI commemorative issue, and a Cole Hamels bobblehead with WS trophy (it looks like Cole if he was a 40 year old pedophile). I basically just got a shitload of DVDs (all I really wanted): Bones S3 House S4 Big Bang Theory S1 Life S1 Always Sunny S3 Robot Chicken S1-3 Wall-E Iron Man Forgetting Sarah Marshall Dark Knight Office S4 Terminator: TSCC S1 MST3K 20th Then used gift cards to get The Wire: Complete Series Spaced: Complete Series Shield S1-4 Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Daria: Is it fall yet? (Had $10 to blow and I always kept forgetting to pick it up)
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 27, 2008 How do those of you who get all these gifts communicate with potential gift givers that you really, really want all these DVDs? I'm assuming these don't come cheap either, so I'm confused how you guys are getting all these. Amazon.com wish lists or do you send a giant scroll to parents, aunts and uncles, what? the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 Amazon wish list, pictures of the DVDs has made life much easier. My parents usually end up spend around $500 each on my sister and I. Probably more than they should, but my mom is a Christmas junkie, plus we had some less than bountiful Christmases for a 5 year stretch as kids. So I think she just likes to be able to buy gifts, she is the type that when her friend at work had kids she put them on the list to buy for like grandchildren. Beyond that, a few gift cards can add up in a hurry ($50 gift card from work, same from 2 different aunts, same from my sister, and one from myself that I bought as a just in case gift for my godfather who I ended up not exchanging with).
