The TSM Weight Loss Contest

Recommended Posts

The way I understand that the whole no-carbs thing works is as follows. BTW, someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. When your body digests food, it first digests the carbs, then the fats. Sometimes your body gets "too tired" to do anything about the fat after digesting the carbs. So, by eliminating carbs all together, your body has nothing better to do than burn-off all the fat you eat, thus causing rapid weight-loss.

That's the jist.

Obi Chris Kenobi 196 196 195 1 0.51%

I pulled into the lead for total pounds lost as a result of a weekend long bout with the flu. However, Twisted Intestine took the overall lead at 4.12%, just 2/100 ahead of me.

How long are we going to keep this going? Initially I was thinking one month, but that doesn't seem like quite enough time for a full evaluation. Suggestions?

EDIT: Is there anyone who can help me with formatting so that I can make that table readable? Send me a PM.

I'm looking to drop another 40 pounds or so, but that's just me. I'm interested in doing this for as long as you're interesting in keeping up with the results. I could help with making the table readable. I could run in in Excel and generate a PDF image of it or something.

I actually went to the gym for the 1st time in like a year today and did some lifting and ran 2 miles.

Maybe I'll be a dark horse yet. I think I should get an * next to my name since I had already dropped from 268 in the weeks leading up to the contest.

I got hammered last night and actually only ate one can of soup as a munchie, so that was good.

This weekend = greasy food party hell though....

Well, that's we've said since the start, DCH. You're not a skinny jean wearing Emo, are you?

No, I'm not a skinny jean wearing emo. I eat a hell of a lot of food for a person my size. Also I don't like emos. Or tight clothes.

Yeah. I'm back to 223. Thanks 100% in part to the Super Bowl. Ugh.

Hopefully this lasts through springtime when living in Syracuse doesn't confine you indoors all the time, as well.
