Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2009 I've known that he's insane for a long time now. Hell, we all have. However, with this video, and this blog entry title (with extra crazy bolded) THIS IS MY LAST DAY IN PARIS AND IT'S BEEN CRAZY. I'VE MET SO MANY DOPE PEOPLE. I FEEL SO INSPIRED BY THE TRIP... I'VE BEEN THINKING OF RAPS, BEATS, CLOTHES, VIDEOS ,STAGE DESIGNS AND PHILOSOPHIES ... I ALWAYS FEEL MY BEST WORK IS MY NEXT WORK... I'VE MADE SOME GOOD CHOICES AND SOME MISTAKES... I'VE BEEN LOVED AND HATED.... I'VE BEEN HAILED AND RIDICULED... I'VE BEEN INVITED TO SHOWS AND AS USUAL ASKED NOT TO COME... I'VE BEEN ATTACKED FOR BEING ME... FOR BEING BRIGHT RED IN A GREY WORLD.... I AM NUCLEAR ENERGY... WHEN INCAPSULATED IN AN IDEA OR BOX LIKE A STAGE OR SHOE DESIGN I CREATE MAGIC... WHEN LEFT FREE SOMETIMES I BURN THINGS... IT'S THE NATURE OF A TRUE ARTIST... I AM NOT PERFECT AND I WILL NEVER BE WHAT I WAS TAUGHT MY WHOLE LIFE AND THAT WAS TO BE "CHRIST LIKE"... I'M FINE WITH JUST BEING THE BEST ME! I ACCEPT AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM. I WILL NEVER ATTACK NEGATIVE PEOPLE AND THEIR ENERGY...I FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY DON'T THINK FOR THEMSELVES BUT MERELY BASE THEIR OPINIONS ON WHAT THEY WERE TAUGHT. LIFE IS A GAME! IF EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WAS DOING WHEN I WAS DOING IT THERE WOULD BE NO CHALLENGE THEREFORE NO GAME. IT IS THE CRACK IN THE WALL THAT ALLOWS LIGHT TO SHINE THROUGH... SOOO THANK YOU SENSATIONAL NEWS REPORTERS ... THANK YOU GOSSIP SITES... THANK YOU BARBER SHOPS... THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO THRIVES ON THE DOWNFALL OF OTHERS FOR I WILL NOT FALL!!! YOUR PESSIMISM IS MY POWER... YOUR PRESUMPTIONS LEAD TO MY REDEMPTIONS ... I DON'T LIKE THE OBVIOUS... I LIKE THE TENSION... I LIVE FOR THE FIGHT... I AM A SOLDIER OF FREE THOUGHT IN A CLOSED MINDED WORLD AND I AM READY FOR WAR... I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING SO I AM FEARLESS ... YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'RE UP AGAINST... I WILL SPARK A GENERATION OF THINKERS WHO WILL QUESTION TRADITIONAL THOUGHT UNTIL THEY FIND THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME SOMEONE TO PROVE WRONG AS I HAVE DONE FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE... YOU FEEL THE WORLD WILL NEVER CHANGE.. YOU FEEL MISERY IS THE ONLY COMPANY... AND I AM HERE TO PROVE YOU ALL WRONG... (I'LL GIVE THE SECRET TO MY DEMISE FOR ALL THAT WISH I WOULD JUST DROP DEAD.... ACCEPTANCE!!... IF YOU COULD FINISH MY SENTENCES THERE WOULD BE NO REASON TO START THEM. ) THANK YOU PARIS ONCE AGAIN FOR ALLOWING ME ACCESS TO THE GREATEST ARTISTS AND DESIGNERS THIS EARTH HAS TO OFFER... THANK YOU FOR THE INVITATION BECAUSE GENIUS LOVES COMPANY I feel that the full length of my new hero's insanity has not been discussed properly. Not many musicians these days have blog entry titles that read like they were written by an ADHD addled boy who hasn't taken medication in weeks. So, let's talk about Kanye's slipping mental state. Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2009 I for one anticipate this turning into a full-blown public meltdown. Maybe something along the lines of Farrah Fawcett on Letterman or Mariah Carey showing up in next-to-nothing on TRL.
Beto Chavez 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2009 I still get a kick out of him explaining the airport incident where he broke that paparazzo's camera was "an optical illusion".

PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2009 Wayne isn't high profile enough to suffer an embarrassing public flame-out. It's far more likely that he'll just be found dead in the studio one morning with an empty styrofoam cup clutched in his hand.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2009 Wayne's whole persona is that he's so fucked up in the head that it won't be such a big deal when he burns out next year. West is a dolt who knows how to market the whole, "You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same." image like no other. Then when it came out it was a hack idiots were just like, "HE JUST SAYING THAT CUZ HE DOESN'T WANNA FACE THE DRAMA AND LOSE HIS FANS!".
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 So, in the hip hop community, speaking out against homophobia=gay?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Kinda. I'm sure there are quite a few rappers who have no problems with gays but won't speak on it publicly due to fear of losing street cred.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 So, in the hip hop community, speaking out against homophobia=gay? Nah, I think it's more like "speaking out against homophobia + dressing and comporting oneself like a flamboyant homosexual + making a synth-pop record = gay"
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Point taken. I'm surprised though that we've witnessed Byron The Bulb sort of, kind of defend goldengreek. One of TSM's intellectual elite backin' up perhaps the board's biggest dope.

PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2009 The word filter actually makes this funnier "Your dress don't give away whether or not you like a man," Kanye West explained this week, prompting a discussion of homosexuality and fashion. The rapper was replying to those who have criticised his dress sense – hip-hop loudmouths who have tried to "label" him as very attractive in a way that I can't explain, including a recent homophobic diss by 50 Cent. West shrugged off the comments, saying that he was "authentic", "natural" and "confident with [his] manhood", and criticised some of his peers for being uncomfortable with very attractive in a way that I can't explain people. "People are so very attractive in a way that I can't explain-conscious now," he told MTV, referring to those who are "scared" of very attractive in a way that I can't explain people, or of being perceived as very attractive in a way that I can't explain. "That's like the whole thing like with the internet – every day [is like], 'Oh I can tell he very attractive in a way that I can't explain now!' But back in the day, people used to have songs like Get In That Ass or something like that. Someone would never make a song like that [today] because they'd be like 'Whoa! I can't make no song like that! People gonna call me very attractive in a way that I can't explain!'" Though West's comments are refreshing – it is rare to hear a hip-hop star discussing homosexuality so openly – his ideas about very attractive in a way that I can't explain stereotypes are perhaps a little misguided at times. "Because stereotypically very attractive in a way that I can't explain people got such good [style] ... they were smart enough to take a fresh-ass logo like the rainbow and say that it's gonna be theirs," he said, celebrating the beauty of the red-and-yellow-and-pink-and-blue. "I've been collecting all of the freshest stuff that's rainbows – Denver Nuggets jerseys, BAPE shoes, Nikes with rainbows on 'em – and saying, 'Man, I think as straight men we need to take the rainbow back because it's fresh.'" "I mean how is that a very attractive in a way that I can't explain thing? Colours? Having a lot of colours is very attractive in a way that I can't explain?" West used to be scared of very attractive in a way that I can't explain people, he said, but now, "authentic" and "secure in [his] manhood", he can "go to Paris [and] have conversations with people who are blatantly very attractive in a way that I can't explain". Not only that, but West regrets having once said that "very attractive in a way that I can't explains really know how to dress". "That's when I was ignorant to very attractive in a way that I can't explains," he said in this week's interview. "Because there's a lot of very attractive in a way that I can't explain people who don't dress good at all. There's a lot of very attractive in a way that I can't explain people that I dress way better than."

Cerebus The Aardvark 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2009 I think his final musical project should be co-writing, producing, and appearing on Joaquin Phoenix's hip-hop album; that would be serendipitous in the extreme.
