I can't listen to Grand Prix all the way through, so I guess that's Bandwagonesque off the shopping list. Seriously, it's ok, but I don't see how it contributes to music in any way at all.

I'm not a Connery fan, he seems to rest on a reputation and never plays anything remotely challenging. Harold Ramis was awesome in Ghostbusters and doesn't act enough. I could never hate Bill Bailey, Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy or Ron Perlman, to name a few.

God I hope we win this coca-cola player. Looks like most of the fans want a midfielder, preferably defensive, and I pretty much agree. We've got goalscorers (though Maclean's out) we just concede stupid goals late on.

Remember when I left? Me neither. Who was I kidding?

I actually think I enjoyed nostalgic 'so slow it's funny' Hogan more than I enjoyed Hogan when I was a kid. Alarmingly, Crush was my favourite back then.

Let's be sincere and non-self-referential

I have absolutely no self confidence, but have been pretending I do for years. -
Oh man, what drugs are you on right now?

You can? Awesome! -
And if anyone wants to do Drukqs be my guest, but rather you than me. Come to think of it, it's not all that long.

I don't have the track listing here, just the CD, but I'll say that The Wedding Present's George Best could really benefit from this exercise.

Getting glastonbury tickets is the least fun experience of the calendar. Roll on next sunday.

You must be the only Welsh person left to make that decision In an extremely irrelevant aside can I just give my warmest welcome to Walter 'The Rifle' Pandiani into English football, just cos of all the goals I've scored with him on Pro evo 4. I'm good with Deportivo for some reason.

The Rutles. Some of the best observational comedy ever.
-
I have no interest in ever hearing it. But those first two albums were largely awesome, and I too enjoyed the aforementioned green album tracks. Except Hash Pipe. 'Tired of Sex' is probably still one of my favourites.

He's just nothing great. I've said before, there's enough going on with his stuff not to be completely awful, but I don't really see how he distinguishes himself either.
-
I dunno, I've seen it interpreted both ways I guess. I still think it's overrated. I struggle to enjoy Steely Dan for any period of time also. And London Calling is slightly too long, but still great.
-
I'm intrigued by Andrew WK's new one as well, as The Wolf was underrated, is still a part of my life and some of the songs make me cry. No, really.

PiL - Metal Box. John Lydon's supposed vocals did not improve, or explore any greater potential as I was led to believe, he just sounded like John Lydon fucking around over arrangements which deserve some praise but have aged terribly. Fuck it. Some say Heartattack and Vine is a milestone work for Tom Waits as well, and it's probably one of my least favourites of all his full lengths.

I seem to recall a Johnny Quest vehicle on the PC where you were on a mission to find a cure for diabetes. -
Journey. I'm back in the groove.

Bright Eyes is just...nothing. There's enough in there for it not to be totally awful, but nothing that sets it above whatever else.
-
I was also very impressed by what I heard from Electrelane's new effort.
-
Yeah, there's two distinct ways history has interpreted that bit.
-
I thought this was the day we remembered Jesus hatching from a rich, creamy egg.

Do you think that because Hugh Grant will never do anything except a romantic comedy in his career, he will never look out of place? Dennis Hopper did Space Truckers as well, didn't he? Yargh.
