Got my hands on it, beat it on Easy. The game's basically a remake of the original (with quite a few changes...I wanted to face Great Final Soldier and the M. Bison ripoff again, damn it), which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but since they advertised it as a sequel it's somewhat disappointing to not see much of anything new. Also, I really dislike how they completely changed and dumbed-down the weapons system. That being said, the game's still fun as hell. Plus, I marked out for the Flicky level.

Man, I'm surprised five and a half months went by without comment on the game. Definitely picking this up tomorrow (If I can find it). It'll be the first GBA game I've bought in a LONG time.
-
Andrew: There's always Gamefly. It's a bit pricy ($21.95 a month) but I don't believe there's any other means with which to rent DS games.
-
Probably not. None of the ones listed at eBay are going for more than five bucks.

My first few systems (NES, Genesis, Game Boy) were bought for me by my parents, and I honestly can't remember why (of if) I pestered them to buy 'em for me. N64: Mario Kart 64. This was a gift from the parents as well, but at least I can remember why I wanted it. GBA: Advance Wars. GC: Bought it at launch, mainly for Luigi's Mansion. The promise of SSB:M didn't hurt, though. DC: Jet Grind Radio and Shenmue. PSX: KoF '96 and CvS. PS2: Not one in particular, I was just annoyed that GC didn't have any fighting games. I guess the list would be GGXX, MvC2, CvS2, and various KoF releases. DS: Kirby: Canvas Curse. Honorary mention to Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Went to a Smackdown! taping a couple years ago (I don't remember when, exactly, but it was during the heyday of the Smackdown! Six) with a sign that said "Wrestling is Gay" in Japanese. For the first hour of the show, I saw a few wrestlers look in my direction, but I couldn't tell if they knew what the sign said. At least one of them must have, because about halfway through the show, security comes and takes my sign away. The people sitting near me were curious what the sign said. I told them it meant "Tajiri is Number One" to avoid getting my ass kicked.

These are all great suggestions, but I've already decided to go as Stone Froze Jack Houston.

Great card. Damn if I'm not excited about my match.

That's quite enough. I'm not going to watch every other thread devolve into this ridiculous argument. Bruce, quit instigating. It's none of your business what Spike does with his character. Spike, quit goading. Bruce probably would have stopped already if you had ignored him the first time. Everyone else, keep out of it. I don't give a damn if Spike wins or loses leading up to our match. No one else should either. Now then. 1. TORU - Toxxic's writing skills haven't slipped a bit in his transition to a new character. His matches are funny yet incredibly well-written. He always keeps the reader amused but makes sure they have a perfect picture of what's going on in the match. 2. Jay Hawke - Consistency personified. You can always count on a great match from Jay, which is the main reason he's held the International Title for as long as he has and become one of the greatest "Second Belt" Champions in the history of the fed. 3. Landon Maddix - Tremendously entertaining writer with a fantastic character. The Casino Brawl at Ground Zero was one of the funniest matches I've ever had the pleasure of reading, and I felt gave Toxxic's match a run for its money for MOTN honors. 4. Spike Jenkins - Currently writes one of the most compelling and intriguing characters in the fed. The main reason I was upset about Spike/Tom disappearing is that I felt the two would collaborate on a fantastic match, thanks in no small part to Jenkins. 5. Todd Cortez - Kinda got the short end of the stick on the Martial Law breakup, but I'm confident that he'll bounce back from that soon and make a run at the top. He's certainly talented enough to do it. Didn't consider myself because I don't feel I can impartially judge my own writing.

Actually, this season was one of Beltran's worst. It's easily his worst full season. His career line is .282/.350/.479; his line this year was .266/.330/.414. His full season average is about 25 HR and 35 SB; this year, he hit 16 HR and stole 17 SB. I honestly believe that in the future he's going to produce numbers closer to his career and less like last year's. Anyway, it's not like the Mets are currently hurting for a center fielder. It's way too early to promote Milledge to the majors. Cameron's still there.

Holy shit. If this trade goes through, I'm going to track Omar Minaya down and beat him senseless. Ramirez won't be nearly as good a hitter in Shea Stadium and definitely won't justify his huge contract. Beltran already doesn't justify his huge contract, but at least he's almost guaranteed to continually get better. Minaya's shooting for the playoffs next year, with no thought what will happen after that. So really, he's acting how a Mets GM usually acts.

It's gonna be really strange not seeing Mazzone lounging next to Cox in that dugout anymore. Seems like he's been there forever. I'm honestly shocked that he's leaving the Braves. As a Mets fan, I should be delighted, but then I realize that they've got tons of young terrific players and a slightly less great pitching coach isn't going to prevent them from winning the division title for another ten years.

"Global warming is going to strike two days before the day after tomorrow!" "Oh my God...that's TODAY!" That exchange alone made the episode worthwhile. Overall, not bad, particularly the Jew Gold bit and when they were recreating scenes from Day After Tomorrow with incredible detail.

Filmaff less than me?
-
Haha, yeah. That was pretty funny.
-
Yeah, you'd think a name like Damien Diablo would raise a few warning flags.
-
HHH looks like some middle manager type with his facial hair and conservative suit.
-
Foley brings the clunky wordplay.

In an effort to get some conversation going here... Is there something about your character that you wish you could change? After writing him/her for a lengthy period of time, do you find that some detail makes the character harder or less enjoyable to write? This goes for retirees too. I wish I had established a history for ELM before I got started. I wrote numerous promos throughout my first run making vague mentions of Magnifico's past, but since I never settled on one set history, I ended up contradicting myself several times. And now it's hard to make up a history at this point, since I don't know with which revisionist timeline to go with. That's about the only mistake I believe I've made with ELM, though. I corrected Magnifico's main flaw about a month after he debuted (not being able to speak English), and I firmly stand by my decision to make him maskless.

Anyone tried Under the Knife or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney yet? I was thinking of picking up one or both of them.
-
Regular ol' Texas Cloverleaf.
-
Agreed. Of course, I'd just have him constantly going off about how his fed was a lot better.

Rocket Knight Adventures.
