  1. THURSDAY Oregon State at Cincinnati SATURDAY Nevada at Northwestern Nebraska at Wake Forest Miami at Oklahoma Alabama at Vanderbilt Oregon at Michigan Boise State at Washington South Carolina at Georgia Missouri at Mississippi North Carolina at East Carolina TCU at Texas Indiana at Western Michigan Virginia Tech at LSU Colorado at Arizona State Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Virginia Tech/LSU game? 37 Tiebreak #2: How many passing yards will Texas' Colt McCoy have against TCU? 223
  2. This might just be out of spite by the voters who voted them that high in the first place. Or maybe not, I like to think it is.
  3. There's this restaurant called "Ben's Place" in Raleigh that has trivia night every Tuesday with cheap beer at two bucks a bottle. Chili's and Applebees are good for chain restaurants. Hardee's for major fast food chain, but CookOut is a great place that is locally run and operated I believe, so if you live outside of North Carolina you might not have heard of it. It's great because it's open until 2 a.m. and they have like thirty different flavors of milkshake to choose from. Service is really fast too, despite the lines always being long and having to get your food made to order.
  4. They didn't get a chance to, what with you getting stripped of the title for failing a drug test. I don't have anything against Barnett for trying to get a job with the UFC, but he's going about it the wrong way for a number of reasons: 1: Dana White hates him. A lot. 2: Knocking Randy Couture directly. Seriously, why would this be a good idea for anyone already on the bad side of the president of the UFC? 3: He beat Randy while on steroids. Could he have beaten Randy clean? Maybe. But it looked liked Barnett wasn't so sure, or he wouldn't have tried to cheat. 4: He doesn't have a lot of friends, or credibility, with the NSAC, when his main defense against the positive steroid test result was his attorney arrogantly/contemptuously asking the NSAC, "Does he look like he's on steroids?" The heavyweight division in the UFC is looking pretty good right now. Maybe if that changes, Josh might have a chance to get signed. As it is, it's probably not going to happen, and will almost certainly never happen if Fedor comes on board. Barnett always acts like a dick in interviews, it's just his shtick. I think he enjoys heeling it up just to get people pissed off at him. Barnett is a terrible style matchup for Randy, as he showed before, regardless of the fact that he was juicing. Let's be honest about the three losses to Cro Cop too; he was injured in one match, banged up after a war with Nogueira in their last, and the second match he was basically an unmotivated, out of shape tub, certainly not the same fighter that would later beat Nogueira. It's a shame Barnett is on the outs with Dana, as I enjoy watching him fight. You'd think he'd try something different when the guy he's trying to get to hire him hates him to begin with. Even if Barnett's style makes for a bad match for Randy, he still, for whatever reason, felt the need to juice up. If the reason was something mental, then that's a major factor working against Barnett before the fight has even started. I'd like to see Barnett in the UFC as well; he's a pretty decent-to-good fighter, and he's got a good heel persona going for him. But it's not going to happen unless Dana suddenly decides that Barnett in the UFC would draw money, and I don't know if that will ever happen. Truthfully, I think Barnett's just as happy working pro wrestling. He gets paid more and doesn't work for somebody that he hates/hates him.

  6. Guess which dumbass forgot to turn his picks in on time? FRIDAY Washington at Syracuse SATURDAY Colorado State vs. Colorado Connecticut at Duke Virginia at Wyoming Georgia Tech at Notre Dame Wake Forest at Boston College Mississippi at Memphis Arizona at BYU Oklahoma State at Georgia Central Michigan at Kansas Purdue at Toledo Tennessee at California New Mexico at UTEP Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Tennessee/California game? 53 Tiebreak #2: How many receiving yards will Oklahoma State's Adarius Bowman have against Georgia? 80
  7. Now watch his numbers drop substantially this year.
  8. All right, I made it into two leages this year! Beware the Black Cactus Monkeys!
  9. I thought Gonzaga's nose was smashed by Randy's head on the one belly to belly takedown, not on the one where his face hit the mat. If I had to choose between someone's skull or the mat doing that much damage, I'd choose the former. I don't think they ever showed it clearly enough either way.
  10. Does anyone have the legendary Ryjui Yamakawa/Tomoaki Honma death match from Big Japan? I'm pretty sure it aired on 6/20/99. Big ups to anyone who can upload this. I'll be uploading some classic ECW stuff in high quality in the next few days, so be on the lookout.
  11. Springsteen has a new album coming out on October 2nd with the E Street Band. This should also surely kick ass.
  12. Springsteen in '78, or maybe his 3.5 hour New Year's Eve Show extravaganza in 1980; that's getting your money's worth.
  13. Well, I guess my fantasy football gamble is over for Vick since he pled guilty.
  14. Howard sort of reminds me of a young Shaq, except Shaq was even bigger than Dwight is, although a lot of that muscle turned to fat when Shaq got unmotivated.
  15. 6 is fine, but seeing as how it's Saturday night I might not be around, but my players are ranked so it's all good.
  16. Every moment that the words "T.N.A." are mentioned on ESPN are moments that more people are possibly exposed to the product. Is that a good thing or a bad thing considering the current product?
  17. We already have a thread with this moniker in the WWE folder; it's called the "Chris Benoit is Dead" thread.
  18. If you can fit one more in for the "official" TSM league, I'll definitely do it, but if not that's cool too. Additional question for Harley: I looked at the pre-draft rankings list and we can't put team defenses on there. Did you do something different or am I overlooking something? Thanks
  19. I'm in as "No Frozen Way Jerry."
  20. Hideo Tokoro vs. Masahiro Oishi from ZST a couple of years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuPonNEWag4 Intense fight!
  21. Add Chuck vs. Jardine to the card.
  22. I'll join, since Pissed already has Alabama, I guess I'll take N.C. State.
  23. I third DVDShrink. Great program.
  24. Ha, I remember that fight and how Trigg was whoopin' ass on Mach until he fired back. Probably one of the best come backs in MMA history. And Mik, you couldn't be more right. I had been looking for an excuse to change it for forever since the joke had long since worn thin, just hoping it would have been under better circumstances.
  25. Probably the best fight in K-1 history: Mark Hunt vs. Jerome Le Banner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKnsRsJBums Probably the second best fight in K-1 history: Ray Sefo vs. Mark Hunt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKnsRsJBums
