  1. Careful, any more Wes Sims is God jokes are gonna turn this place into another DVDR.
  2. I'm willing to give Sergei the benefit of the doubt due to him injuring both of his arms in his past couple fights. He's at least shown me a little bit in his wins, unlike Aleks who really has only beaten scrubs. However, Lei does shit on every fight that doesn't involve one of his favs , so take what he has to say about this fight with a grain of salt, it will probably be a good/great fight.

  4. I'm glad i'm not the only one who hates Lindland because of his stupid stupid fanboys. You hear that Blockhead Dan?? Ban me now you stupid looking cocksucker...I hope they bring Lindland back so Franklin can knock his ass out and shut everyone up...if I remember correctly the dumb bald bastard knocked himself out trying to slam Falaniko Vitale a few years ago... Lindland looked pretty good against Rampage, I've got nothing against him... On a side note, anyone who bashes the DVDR MMA board is fine by me.
  5. Allan Goes def. Kazushi Sakuraba via Unanimous JD in a just world. I was gonna mention that too, but I don't think there were judges in that fight.
  6. Pride works: Any fight that Takada won Ogawa vs. Goodridge There have most assuredly been other fights where one fighter was probably asked to "take it easy" on the other fighter, but for out and out pre-planned finishes the above "fights" are the best examples. As for Saku's fights being worked, that's opening up a huge can of worms for some people, but I'm not among them, I consider all of Saku's fights to be legit. Of course he got some help in some (the Mezger fight for instance) but IMO all of the fights he had in Pride were legit. To answer your other question about the year by year list, Dama: http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfi...ganization_id=3
  7. Reggie Miller was no. 62.
  8. Why would someone want to buy this when 95% of the matches have already been released on DVD?
  9. Manhoef has excellent standup but his wind sucks and he's never really been tested on the ground by anyone noteworthy. Great fun to watch, though.
  10. http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=5153 Don't know about the rest of you, but I laughed my ass off at this.
  11. I'm not accusing you of this YPOV, but it seems like a lot of the people that are saying Rampage lost are the same ones who said he was washed up and finished, as if they don't wanna believe that he is still a good fighter.
  12. It's exciting, called a FOTY canidadate by some, though I believe there is too much clinching for that. Still a great fight, however.
  13. I thought he did really well against Lindland, and actually scored more takedowns, which is amazing considering Lindland only got one takedown himself and he is an Olympic Silver medalist. Matt looked really great too, throwing high kicks, a backfist (?!) and several sub attempts that Rampage was able to power his way out of.
  14. *waits for Dramamara or whatever his name is to come in declaring Rampage/Lindland was the worse desicion ever* Personally, the fight should have been a draw, but I can understand a Jackson decision. Lindland won the first, Jackson the second, and the third was probably a draw, but Jackson did finish pretty strong with the elbows, busting Matt open. He also connected with a pretty stiff jab, but Matt did have the guillotine sunk in fairly tight. No qualms with the decision, though, great effort by both guys.
  15. You neglected to mention the fact that the cut was caused by an inadvertant elbow, and would have been declared a No Contest had it not been a tournament fight.
  16. In news that's sure to make Lei wet himself, Shinya Aoki and Hioki Hatsu are confirmed for the next Pride, against Jason Black and Jeff Curran, respectively. Gilbert Melendez is also scheduled to fight against Nobuhiro Obiya and Kawajiri will be fighting Chris Brennan.
  17. As EHME said, the Rampage/Lindland fight was a VERY, VERY close fight. Great escapes by Quinton, Matt showed a lot of determination as well.
  18. Study habits? In community college? Seriously though, it's the way to go, unless you're one of those people that just has to get away from their parents and immediately go to a four year college. Saves you a ton of money too. Additionally, I can count on my hands the number of papers I wrote in my two years at community college. Compare that with a freshman year at a four year school and you'll be glad you went to CC.
  19. Woah, that's pretty cool.
  20. Fedor's adaptability is the greatest asset of his game. I really can't see him having any trouble using the cage to his advantage.
  21. Well doesn't he have to be clean if this is in America? Unless of course he was roiding during that picture.
  22. I'm not sure if Pele has better standup than Manhoef. Manhoef has more power and seems to have more control, while Pele can get kind of wild at times, though he is much better in the clinch. I say it's a tossup. As for Newton/Manhoef, it's really the only fight that I really care about on that card; Saku and Akiyama win in squashes and Rodrigo/Oyama, *ugh* unless it ends like Oyama/Ryan with Shungo going batshit before falling into a wicked armbar.
  23. In all seriousness, the Fire Pro Wrestling series has had the funnest MMA simulator to date, IMO. Plus you can create just about anybody on there.
  24. Holy shit, 298!!! That's fuckin' massive! Get your fat ass in shape Ricco, damn.
  25. I'll do some fun STAT DORKING~! later on for you guys.
