  1. Except for the Hills Have Eyes and Slither (sounds pretty cool) it looks like a bunch of garbage, unless I missed something.
  2. I think Rizzo has one fight left on his contract. He should probably get another hard opponent, reason being if he gets a can, he proves nothing with a win and won't get resigned. At least when he fights a higher level fighter he has the chance to possibly get an extension with a victory. I think they put Tamura with Nogueira as punishment for refusing the Saku fight so many times. I think after his refusal to fight Saku on NYE, DSE actually referred to Tamura as being scared.
  3. Baroni is big for 185, but I doubt he would be able to do much at HW, which is essentially what this tourney is. My mind's running blank on other contestants. Obviously no Schilt this year, really can't see Ogawa or Giant Silva in it either. Hopefully no Saku. I would guess they might throw Igor and Naka on there. Hopefully some surprises are in order. Good ones that is.
  4. To Coleman's credit, he did escape a triangle and a heel hook--->leg lock. So I guess the Openweight GP looks like this so far: Cro Cop Yoshida Hunt Barnett Nogueira Overeem Kohsaka Werdum Rampage Zentsov That would leave six spots. It would be cool if Silva joins the tourney on behalf of Chute Boxe, since Shogun will probably be out for a couple months. A match versus Coleman in the first round would make sense. Not sure if you can count Kharitonov out after one loss, but a dislocated shoulder is a fairly serious injury. I would venture to guess they would like another native in, maybe Fujita since he has recently been announced as free from Inoki.
  5. Check this out, pretty funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV75nGYIMCE&eurl=
  6. I thought that was Admiral Ozzel, i.e. "He was as clumsy as he is stupid... and how he's dead." was the topic line if I recall.
  7. It could be compared to Hogan/Andre, in that the match itself sucked but the atmosphere was out of this world.
  8. I noticed a considerable decrease in quality when using DVD Shrink. Do you know any way to counter that, i.e. making comp DVDs with no loss of quality from the source file? Hope I'm not confusing you.
  9. Rey/Ultimo I would rank higher, the rest is solid. Good work.
  10. I'm unconnectable on some of my bitTorrent sites, and someone told me to find an open port and use it. However, I live on a college campus where the school's router has most of the ports stealthed or closed, so my UL/DL ratio suckes right now for some sites. Anybody have any suggestions on ports, etc? Thanks
  11. This is why is called HARDCORE DISCUSSION, folks. Does Micah still post here? Or was he more of a misunderstood social outcast?
  12. What level of Tetris do you start on Slim?
  13. Just because Monson would lay on Werdum the whole time doesn't mean he's a better grappler. Of course Werdum could throw sub after sub on him in the U.S. and still lose but that's beside the point.
  14. Nogueira and Werdum are also far superior on the ground when compared to Monson, but Monson's probably the best on the ground among non Brazilians HW's. Him against Mir or Barnett would be interesting.
  15. I think Monson's getting way too much credit on here for beating someone like Hinkle. Lei hates watching him fight, I'm sure he could exand on Monson a bit more. Just give me an avatar, Paragon. If I'd have known Randy was retiring afterwards I woulda picked different
  16. Really? He's a great grappler, but Arlovski has good takedown defense and he should whoop Monson's ass in standup. Monson looked good against Hinkle but he's a D class fighter to say the least.
  17. I like Randy Couture's post fight celebration: nothing. Damn, MMA needs more classy guys like Couture. Is it just me or is MMA filled with guys that are just naturally dicks, especially in America?
  18. Randy came in with the same gameplan he had in the second fight. He seemed tentative to throw any kind of strikes on Chuck which was why he got knocked out yet again. I think that the KO in the last fight had a large effect on him, despite my comments to the contrary earlier. I guess he felt that the only way he could win was by taking Chuck down and that really hurt his chances of winning, IMO. I think his confidence suffered as well when Chuck got up so fast from the takedown, and you also have to question whether he was really all in the fight, seeing as how he retired immediately after. Great career for Randy, lots of ups and downs but I think the way he bounced back from those downs was what really defined his career as a fighter and a person. I'm really looking forward to Chuck/Babalu II now, not to mention Ortiz's involvement in things. I'd really like to see Rampage in the Octagon if things don't work out with him and Pride. He would be a huge draw for the UFC. Great card.
  19. I'm gonna go ahead and be a dick and guarantee a Randy victory. I thought Chuck's victory in the last fight was flukish to say the least so this fight I'm looking for a repeat of their first encounter. If anyone wants to make an avatar bet, I'm game.
  20. I think if Couture can stick to his gameplan and not get caught he has a great chance of winning Saturday. I can't see Couture getting caught like he did last time, I also think the "eye poke" had a great deal to do with Liddell's victory as well, not taking anything away from it.
  21. I don't even know why anyone tries a top rose splash mountain on Rey. After the first two or three times you saw it, you knew what was gonna happen everytime that certain situation arose.
  22. Sloppy joe and macaroni and cheese.
  23. Kharitonov vs. Overeem is now confirmed. I have no problems with an open weight GP if it contains "fair" fights such as these.
  24. Did you miss it the first time? I was also pleasantly surprised with this match.
  25. Heh, I'm ready to make my own list now.
