  1. He's an older white dude, backed by Republicans. Just accept the general guidelines, realize it'll never get out of hand, and let him through. Of course I'd love to see the guy kept out, but not at the expense of the Democratic party.
  2. And here I thought to myself earlier, "It's been a while since we've had a weird-ass wildpegasus post."
  3. Arizona? The hell? Girl's always talking about New York and Buffalo and shit...
  4. I don't think Czech has ever been out of the house.
  5. Guys, this is a company that rose out of Arkansas. I don't even bat an eye when I hear about companies that started down here having these kinds of things happen.
  6. Newports are horrible. No one I've seen in any kind of good position has smoked Newports either.
  7. I don't get how he's creepy. Looks like a cool, laid-back dude to me.
  8. Normally I'd say it's cheap for a reason, but if you're just painting an everyday car and don't expect to have it much longer anyway, go for it.
  9. And people wear shoes on their hands.
  10. Rupert Murdoch and Paris Hilton will call all BCS games. I dunno, I'd rather have DeAngelo Williams as a Packer than White. He's proven over time how he alone can make a team go.
  11. A review of the Ministry of Sound's Annual 2006 is forthcoming.
  12. Hells no. That's mah jam.

  15. How cute, Czech did what I'd do. YOU HATE ME 'CAUSE YA CAN'T BE ME
  16. Why though? Wouldn't you rather wait until next year when you can really shine and not be in what's becoming a very loaded draft?
  17. So is theirs. No matter how good they were this year, I just can't get behind the Seahawks, thanks to a combination of not seeing a lot of their games and seeing how weak their division was, as well as their fairly weak overall schedule. I know they're good. My eyes tell me they're Super Bowl good. My brain just refuses to think of them as legit. I only partially buy Indy these days. Anyways: Chicago over Carolina (but I hope I'm wrong) Denver over New England Pittsburgh over Indianapolis Seattle over Washington (again, I hope I'm wrong)
  18. Goddamn, Kane actually looks kinda scary.
  19. Conference play in college hoops really heats up. My honest-to-goodness automatic reaction to that was to go "ooooooh!" and make the nWo spooky fingers. Sigh. Uncivilized southern hicks who only care about football. I didn't mean that in a demeaning way. He just happened to phrase that in a way that was really funny at the time. Now it just looks mean. It's not that us southern folk are uncivilized, it just never gets cold enough to get into sports that involve being indoors. I actually drove home from work with the windows down today, to give you the idea of what a fairly average winter day is like here. EDIT: And I'll admit I watch some of the final days of the major golf tournaments. It's not bad, just intensely boring if some incredibly important circumstances like the PGA Championship aren't in effect.
  20. But it'd be cool, especially if the characters arrived in San Francisco circa 1986.
  21. But the book 2010 and I think 3001 as well came before the movies...IIRC. 2010 was written before its movie came out, 2061 was published in 1986, and 3001 was published in 1997. 2001 was actually written at the same time as its own script, which is what lead to the book/movie difference of the planet near which the monolith was being Saturn in the book.
  22. This is all pretty surprising after the reports from a few weeks ago that everyone thought Styles was doing great and didn't even have his commentary sent through an earpiece.
  23. I think if we were worried about what other countries thought more than what we wanted to do, we wouldn't be in Iraq in the first place. That always bugged me anyway, phrasing it like that. "Caring what other countries think" isn't as petty as it sounds. It should really be "taking global conditions into consideration" or something like that.
  24. My downloading of movies has numbed me to such things probably. Speaking of CNN, it feels like Wolf Blitzer has been on the clock 24/7 since the Alito hearings started.
