Ground Zero word count thread~!
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to The Ill One's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
If you have the day off, you should have no problem; in fact, if you haven't been to sleep yet, I'd try to take about a four-hour power nap, get up, take a Ginkoba pill... Busting out 8K in eight hours after that should be no sweat... -

I'd offer to write your match, Muzz, but my last offer appears to have spawned a somewhat negative reaction. -

Sadly, I must admit this to be the truth... -
There's something that I don't understand about the electoral process: it seems that the way it works in most states is that whoever wins the agregate popular vote for that state is given the totatlity of the electoral votes for that state, regardless of how the votes actually broke down in each respective electoral district. This seems to me to be the exact opposite of the way that the electoral process should work, so why is it done that way?

Nope; No one's been here in the past month but my landlord. -

Okay, I'll throw in a six-pack of your favorite beer, too (since, for some reason, I get this 'underage drinker' vibe from you). -

That'd just be too easy... I tell you what, though; if you come here and let me whip your ass, I'll give you fifty anyway, just for your trouble. -

1535 Thompson Drive, Apt #6 (Marina Ridge Apts.) Bremerton, WA You don't need my real name; just call me Dub Cee when you get here and identify yourself by your character in the fed, and I'll let you in... or were you planning to send me a letter bomb, or something? Now, here's the only rule: in order to collect the hundred, you have to land a punch on my nose. I'll even let you into the apartment, but this isn't a "free lick" type of deal: I will make you sing for your supper... EDIT - And just in case you plan to send a ringer, I'll probably give you a pop quiz on your character, or something in the fed, before I let you in. -

Yes, just in the fed, Spike. You don't get to hire someone to come kick my ass... Either you do it yourself, or it's no deal. -

I'm not in Hawaii anymore, Spike, I'm in Bremerton, WA... and, quite frankly, if you showed up in front of my door, I'd give you a hundred in cash if you even had the gumption to try to come out here and kill me. And, anyway, I was just joking about writing his match, anyhow. It's a bad joke, I'll admit, but a joke nontheless... Like I said earlier, no-showing for a title defense on PPV is uncouth; if Johnny can't squeeze something out of his ass, then he doesn't deserve to keep the belt, anyway... and this is coming from possibly the only person in the fed who likes him... -

Dude, you can't no-show a title defense on PPV; that's uncouth... Hell, I'll help you write it if you're in that bad of shape... -

Is someone going to be able to host it, then? Because, even if I were inclined to use a program like AIM, which I'm not, it's not allowed on the ship's LAN. -

Hey Thothy, do you plan to have the "GZ special" up tonight? I ask because I have duty tomorrow, so if it's not up by then, I'll have to wait until Monday, unless someone can host it. -

So that's why I've never won it! And here I thought that it was because I couldn't beat Craven... [tangent] How sad am I? I have a winning career record against six of the last eight world champions (and have never been booked against one of them), but I'm 0-3 lifetime against Michael F. Craven... [/tangent] -
A very happy birthday to the first guy in the SWF to ever put me over! That's right, people... it's all Pete's fault!

Yonks?

So, as Thoth said in the first reply (and I just figured that he was being facetious), it's basically just an Aussie thing? :: shrug :: Eh, I can live with that...
-
I thought he just made that up for the character. Seriously. That really doesn't have anything to do with the question that I asked in the first place: my original question was to ask why Crow was an OP in chat, and the answer that I was basically given is because of something he did before he joined the fed, to which I more or less replied, "what does that have to do with anything?" I'm certainly not suggesting that what writers want to portray as happening outside of the fed should not be regarded as canon; in fact, that's not what I was saying at all. Basically, what it seems to boil down to is that Crow and Sly knew people in the fed before they actually joined the fed. If that contributed in any way to them coming in on the fast track, I actually don't have any problem with that... I just wanted to know whether or not that's really the case. No thanks, I just ate.
-
Why can't I? How does anything you did before the SWF have any bearing on Austin Sly? That's a little like saying that if I ran my own e-fed that none of you knew about, that it should somehow enhance my status/credibility.

Eh, I prefer to take the WWF approach: whatever happened before or after the IGNWF/SWF didn't actually happen...
