  1. !!! [sultan] Don't give away what we can sell! [/sultan]
  2. .... You must be using some new definition of the word "perfect" that I was previously unaware of...
  3. I'm running an 18-team league, and it's working out pretty well. All of the teams have pretty good talent; there are more valuable bench players than you might think.
  4. It depends on how many people come back. If it's half (of twenty) or fewer, then you should allow three; more than that, and you should keep it to two. Let's say, for example, that fifteen people come back; more to the point, let's say that the top fifteen come back. If the top 45 players in the league are all tied up, the five new guys that come in aren't going to have much of a chance to be competitive, no matter how high their draft picks are. I would also recommend that, if you do allow two keepers, for example, that those managers be ineligible for the first two rounds of the draft, if that can even be arranged.
  5. Maybe not for you, but I have fun. It's basically a creative writing club (almost like an ongoing contest) with wrestling as the motif; we certainly put on better matches than anything the WWE is putting out right now. And, as I said before, it's a hobby; some people like to play the guitar, some people skateboard. We... write.
  6. .... Well, alright then.
  7. It's called a hobby. If you really want to break it down, anything that doesn't pay money (with the possible exception of sex) is a waste of time.
  8. Edited to reflect my personal opinion...
  9. When are you going to get tired of being wrong?
  10. Yeah, you talk tough, but allow me to refresh your memory: And there's plenty more where that came from...

  12. I would just like to say that, with all due respect to Landon Maddix, whose work I enjoy and personally mark for, after lobbying for over a year to have the cruiserweight division reinstated, anybody who thought I was going to lose the strap on my very first defense (read: Stryke) needs to have their head examined. More comments and/or the HOLT report to follow sometime after I get off work.
  13. Upon further review, it is, however, still Craven's birthday. ... sumbitch, you're only eighteen? :: feels old again ::
  14. Happy birthday, King Eh, fuck it; it's still your birthday where I am... EDIT - Hey, wait a minute! It's not your birthday here yet! :: spits on King's name for two more hours ::
  15. Hey Wildchild, that invation applies for you as well if you'd like. Sounds like a winner to me!
  16. My league gets pretty decent activity, at least compared to the other leagues I'm in. It's mostly me and my friends, and some people that my friends know, but there's a couple of guys from the board in it. But, uhm, yeah... active leagues are always better.
  17. ... I didn't have a whole lot to work with for this show...
  18. The "better late than never" edition! ================== SWF Smarkdown HOLT report January 26, 2004 Dayton, Ohio at Ervin J. Nutter Arena Report by Corey Lawson of Cleveland, OH Smartmarks.com reader Dark Matches: - Mike Van Siclen beat Daredevil in 1:44 with the Riot Act. - Judge Mental beat “Hollywood” Spike Jenkins in 4:26 with a rollup, but his feet were on the ropes. - Chris Card & Craig Steiner (w/ Natasha) beat John Aikman & Chris Schett (w/ The Beautiful Holly) in 6:27. The match turned into a clusterfuck late (pardon the pun) when Natasha maced Schett, and Card hit a Heartbreaker while the referee was distracted, allowing Steiner to pin Aikman with the Steiner Spine Aligner (Reverse DVD). After the match Natasha tied to mace Aikman as well, but Holly then ran in, and we went into CATFIGHT~! Mode, which climaxed when Holly caught Natasha with a Top Rope Hollycanrana, causing the crowd to chant “Holly Schett (Holy Shit)!” I heard that the other three guys in the match besides Card (and their managers) are all his students, and he was lobbying to get them a tryout with the SWF. It was a pretty good match overall, if a little bit hammy. - Michael Craven beat Alan Clark in 7:55 with the Gulf Coast Crunch. - Aecas beat Xcalibur in 5:15 with the Executioner. - SWF Tag Team Champions Wild and Dangerous beat Perfect Bo and Jay Dawg in 8:29 when they hit Drazon with the Silver Bullet. - Todd Royal upset USJL Champion Sacred in a non-title match in 16:33, after Megan Skye distracted the referee, allowing Landon Maddix to hit Sacred with a DDT onto a steel chair. Lockdown: - Not a whole lot happened tonight, with this being mostly a promo show; most of the promos weren’t even in the ring. - The Unnamed ran down to the ring and surrounded Janus after the match, but the Trinity came down to chase them away. Even then, it must have been close to five minutes before they calmed him down enough to convince him to leave the ring. I can only assume that Janus can expect a fine for beating all the refs up. Biggest Pops 1) Dace Night 2) Terrence Bailey 3) Wildchild 4) Alan Clark 5) CIA Most Heat 1) Va’aiga 2) Michael Craven 3) John Duran 4) Todd Royal 5) The Memphis Eel
  19. Technically, Ron Mercer led the Magic in scoring that season (1148 pts in 68 games for 16.9 ppg versus 1330 in 82 games for 16.2 ppg by Armstrong), but the point is understood. It's really interesting, looking back on that team, how a squad that had Ben Wallace, Corey Maggette, Matt Harpring, Darrell Armstrong and Mike Miller could only win 41 games in the east...
  20. Tits. If she can't at least fill a C cup, I'm not interested... In fact, I've never personally been with any girl with less than a D cup.
  21. Molly? No one actually wants to see Molly Naked... Speak for yourself.
  22. ... I'm not feelin' it...
  23. You know, if you would just bathe once in a while...
  24. Not bad, but can you write matches, too? The last JL stats page is littered with clowns who thought this was an RP fed...
  25. To be perfectly honest, Muzz, I couldn't think of anything to put there... I need people to give me ideas; I'm starting to run dry...
