SWF Smarkdown Card - 6-26-2006
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to chirs3's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
So, is Ghost Machine going to become the Villano/Conquistador of the SWF? Because that would rule. -
You know, when I asked you to preserve the tags in my match, I was just talking about the italics... But that's WAAAAAY better! (Y)
-
Not to me. I didn't think any game in last year's Finals was boring or unwatchable; in fact, I thought that the whole series was quite riveting. Besides which, I cared who won and who lost last year, and that automatically makes it better than this year, AFAIC.
-
Yeah like Shaq had anything to do with Miami winning the series No shit; let's not act like Wade got further with equal talent. Keep it real, now.
-
Okay, so I guess my next question would be, how'd you come up with the list? Did Thor even wrestle in the WF? And, if you don't think you'll want to finish seven matches, why don't you just put more characters in each one, and write fewer ones?
-
Why fifty-seven?

Anyone know a program that will link videos together?

Doesn't WMM only allow you to save files as .wmv? What if the original format isn't .wmv, and you don't want the combined file to be, either? -
Well, the readme.txt that came with it said that there should be thiry-seven segments, and I counted thirty-seven segments. I haven't ruled out corrupt, but what is there that I can do about a corrupt archive?
-
 Not my Danny... say it ain't so!

I'll bump this because I have a related question (not Mac): I understand that WinRAR can be used to compile .rar archives, but I thought that the proper format was to have one .rar file, and have all the rest of the files be .r00, .r01, .r02, .r03, .r04, etc. If it's like that, in the proper format, you just click on the .rar file, and WinRAR will compile the whole archive for you. So, I just recently downloaded a thirty-seven part file, but all thirty-seven parts have a .rar extension, and when I click on any one of them, I get a "the file 'xyz' header is corrupt," and the resultant file doesn't play properly. What can I do to fix this?

SWF Lockdown Card (June 21st, 2006)

Yeah, it'd make perfect sense... if Flesher were recovering from an addiction to sandwiches... And, not for nothing, but the whole premise of that storyline makes Punk come across as a hypocrite and a world-class shitbag. Let me see if I have this right: he forcibly made Raven commit the very sort of atrocities that he, as a Straight-Edge type, is supposed to abhor? To prove what, exactly? That Raven never got clean, and was still an addict? That whole concept strikes me as being the equivalent of having a friend who marries a woman who used to be a whore, and saying that once a whore, always a whore... and then setting out to "prove" that she's still a whore by raping her. I mean, I can only hope that Punk was portrayed as a hypocritical heel in that angle... -

Doesn't being Straight Bread pretty much mean that Jimmy would refuse to even make a sandwich? -
All the ECW Threads are now merging to form Voltron. Please do not sully the name of Voltron by associating it with this show. Oh come on man, ECW Threads are like voltron. The more you put together, the higher are hopes get about ECW. I don't think that even the Blazing Sword could have saved this show.

To be perfectly honest, I hate it, too. I only put that sort of stuff into my matches when I'm reaching for ideas and, like I said before, I wasn't feeling this match at all... I knew how I wanted the finish to go and tried working backwards from there, which is the total opposite of how I usually write my matches (I almost never write with the actual finish in mind, and usually change my mind two or three times before I get to the end), and the whole time I was writing it, it felt too much like I was just throwing shit in there. I'm pretty sure that, if Grendel had shown, I would have lost. Drug use? Nah, man... Dub Cee gets his high performing for the crowd...
-
We can write matches. Read the shows, find out. It's just people adapting to 'SWF style' of dragging 7 minute matches out into 10k of the floweriest language possible. Or, in the case of some, stretching 5.5K into forty-five minutes...

The product of ten minutes in Photoshop: Yeah, it's lame, I know...

I'm digging the Carnival one.

Let's do the show from Asgard... Even *I've* heard of there... Plus, Taft could make a guest appearance as Thor, and have a grudge match against somebody... -
:: gives Va'aiga his World Title shot... just because the notion of Va'aiga separating Toxxic's head from his body amuses me :: So... Cross really did wrestle for Kaibatsu?

And actually, since my son loves those Sly games, I was also wondering if that had something to do with it, too. -

That's from DOOM, right? Well, if that's your half-assed way of asking if everybody's played DOOM, then my answer is no, I haven't played that, either. I can't play first-person shooters; they give me migranes. I can't even watch other people play them.
