  1. Easy...Diesel was leaving for WCW so WrestleMania put a capper on his feud with Taker...then a quick one month feud with HBK then bye bye Remember jobbing on the way out is a time-honored tradition (TM Vince McMahon) On the Orton thing, the fans will boo if he wins and ends the streak so if the plan is for him to become heel again then good I guess. But as a face, it would just be a waste of a good streak as the fans may turn against Randy badly.
  2. Okay I just read Steen is on this Saturday's ROH card too...dammit him and Generico better be @ Un FN Sanctioned!
  3. Kurt vs. HBK: Kurt since it may be his last Mania (or even last match). Orton vs. Taker: I'm all for Taker putting the young talent over...but NOT at WrestleMania. The man has pissed me off many times for not "feelin it" when he should but at WrestleMania he should always come out victorious. If it was any other event than Mania, I'd say Orton. But Taker deserves to go out (when he eventually does) with the legacy of his WM winning streak.
  4. God, that was great...I needed my IWS fix. I loved the whole Beef Wellington / Super Dragon segment as well as Beef knowing he has no chance against Mike Quakenbush this weekend...hilarious! (Poor Beef I haven't seen him win since August) Franky vs. Ruckus...whatever the outcome I will be shocked! Also, we want Kevin Steen! I know El Generico is doing the ROH Trios tourney but at least don't deny us Steen! Either way, should be a good event.
  5. I'm with Slayer, I will buy every Simpsons season from 3 to 10...then it gets tricky cause the good eps are here and there. From season 11: Moe gets a face lift The last episode I remember really enjoying the "Linguo" episode...in case you don't remember that's the Run Lola Run parody with Lisa's grammatical robot (season 12) Right now, they're on season 16...which means they're on their fourth season of nothing but crap
  6. I agree with you...London also just went over 5 guys (even defeating the reigning champ first) and people still complain...geez. London winning would've been miraculous and he was so close then Chavo (whom I'm glad is back to dick status) steals it just like he did last year...I love it, good booking. Hell, my only complaint was that, just like Mania, the individual matches still lasted like a minute each WHERE THE HELL IS KIDMAN!?!?
  7. Fifth...he traded the title with Jacqueline last May. I don't blame you for erasing that from your memory.
  8. Maybe it's a coincidence but I think it's pretty cool this year's HOF is a tribute to WrestleMania 1 Therefore, my predictions for the final inductees are Ricky Steamboat, Mr. T, and Hulk Hogan
  9. Good thinking...that would be perfect!
  10. Whoohoo!!! I can't believe they gave Franky the Iron Man title...I was sure the match was gonna end in a schmozz but damn as a HUGE Franky The MObster mark I am a happy man. He is one of the best heels ever. I'm so happy for the IWS guys making an impact in the U.S. In the past 2 months, IWS has done inter-promotional matches against both ROH and CZW and it's making for great matches as well as putting Quebec on the indy wrestling map.
  11. RDS's schedule for La lutte Impact I also checked this thread out too late so I missed it last night but there is a repeat this Tuesday. Click the link for all the scheduled times during the upcoming weeks. Oddly it's never on at 8:30.
  12. He would only be the second person to do it. Paul Van H. showed up to collect his Razzie for Showgirls~! And Leonard Part 6, where Bill Cosby accepted the award. Green and Paul V. went to the ceremony itself! But Cosby still paved the way...c'mon bigshots, have a sense of humor and accept the awards you deserve... from imdb: The film won three Razzie Awards including Worst Picture, Worst Actor, and Worst Screenplay. All of which were personally accepted by Bill Cosby himself, he requested that they be specially made out of 24 carat gold and Italian marble, (at a cost to Fox Networks of about $27,000) and be presented to him on "The Fox Late Show" a few weeks after the actual Razzie ceremony.
  13. Steen got f'd up! It was sad seeing him limping and with his face all puffed up during the celebration at the end of the show. and yeah, I believe the avatar is from their great match at IWS V (June 2004)
  14. The Jeff Hardy/ROH thing was a walk in the park compared to this. The wrestlers got a standing ovation (and a sarcastic "Match of the year" chant) cause the match was finally over. While I thought some chants were pretty damn funny, I didn't participate cause I think it's disrespectful to the men in the ring but I still wouldn't call the match "good". Yes, I'm an IWS fan and I don't go to NCW events cause I know the matches would be like this one: generic, former NCW star Sylvain Grenier-like generic. It's a shame it had a really bad place on the card (eighth match out of 11). Overall though: great show and I would have sex with the Austin Aries vs. Kevin Steen match if I could...it was that good.
  15. The last champ was Evan Karagias...trust me, it's a step up!
  16. Yes, they do! Yay Dupree! What the hell does he remember then.. "Je me souviens..." is the Quebec province motto ( a.k.a. license plate slogan thingy)
  17. You probably mean IWS since, as a huge Generico follower, I've never heard of him being in IWA-MS. Anyway, Generico's vocabulary pretty much consists of "Ole" but the man is charisma personafied in the ring. I'm a Beef fan too but pretty much because of the comedy as he doesn't "wrestle" much (he only got serious to face Kevin Steen last April, great match). Heck, the highlight of Beef's year was wrestling and defeating a bear (whom he hill be TAGGING WITH at the upcoming Chikara tag tourney).
  18. Damn, wasn't this also the show where Evans was starting as the new Blitzkrieg?
  19. I respected your opinion until this sentence. Of all the Frat Pack (Ferrell, Vaughn, Stiller, The Wilsons, etc.) movies, those two are the worst...barely laughed once. I don't count Elf as it's a kids flick although I enjoyed it.
  20. HHH vs. ??? Edge (fresh match and Benoit doesn't have to job) Randy Orton vs. Ric Flair Submission (to see what Orton will pull out of his ass) Kane vs. Gene Snitsky Steel Chair (pipe and chain shots look like crap) Chris Jericho vs. ??? CHUCK PALUMBO!!! Eugene vs. Eric Bischoff Shaved head (to see Bisch's grey roots again) Diva Battle Royal French Maid (random choice...don't care) Christy vs. Carmella Lingerie pillowfight (see above)
  21. Same here...do it Chuck!!! Although, Stevie was a close no. 2. The others...didn't really care for.
  22. HUGE IWS fan here but I don't understand the great reviews the event has gotten. I was there and it was simply just good. I've been going to every IWS event since January and this one wasn't as good as most of the others. The MOTN was the TLC match...Amazing stuff. But the rest was average (fun but nothing incredible) and sound problems did piss me off (now I get 2.0's countout win!) Don't worry JoeDirt, I'm with ya on Freedom To Fight but IWS is not all hype. Here's are my fave IWS events of this year: - Know Your Enemies (March) "The Summer Trilogy" - V (June) - Hardcore Heat (July) - Body Count (Aug) Do NOT hesitate picking these up when they arrive @ SMV.
  23. "Jesus loves me He loves me a bunch Because he puts Skippy In my lunch"
  24. Finally! I hope they'll be able to release all of IWS' 2004 events cause this has been such a good year for the fed. Great matches month after month. It's great being there but I want to own the matches on tape or DVD, dammit!
  25. Even if it's not, that's what people call him. It's like Taker being called that instead of Mark and I'm pretty sure Billy Gunn gets called Billy instead of Monty or Kip or whatever
