Emotional Weather Report!

This is the best. Anyway, songs of the moment: 1. The Velvet Underground - "Sweet Jane" 2. Bob Dylan - "Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts" 3. Cream - "Tales of Brave Ulysses" 4. The Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter" 5. Interpol - "Not Even Jail"

Before Sunset - 9/10 How can such a short and simple movie be so damn good? I haven't seen Before Sunrise, and I thought that might be a problem, but it wasn't. I got so completely caught up in the characters, moreso than almost any other movie I've seen recently. Tarantino wishes he could write this flowing dialogue that actually sounds natural. You don't need pop culture references to make it 'everyday dialogue'. Excellent ending, too. In a fun romantic double-header, this came from NetFlix along with Jules & Jim.

Vanilla Sky - 7/10 Whoa. Weird movie that I didn't really care for until things started to come together and make sense. Tom Cruise was his usual great and I really liked Kurt Russel and Jason Lee. I haven't seen anything by Cameron Crowe that I didn't like. The pop-culture montage at the end was especially cool.

I'm sorry, Mark. My condolences to you and your family.

It isn't always a decision to just retire as much as it is general burnout and personal commitments that get in the way. For me, it was losing at Battleground (end of April) => AP exams, which take precedence over an e-fed.

Dwight's "...do you love her?" was perfect. I love this show.

Exactly what I thought. Still liked the trailer, though.

I think "Frank's Wild Years" is my favorite Tom Waits beat poem. I like all of the ones I've heard so far (okay, only "Circus" and "9th & Hennepin" otherwise), but the delivery of "Frank's" seals it for me. Great stuff.

Tim Burton's Batman had a much better soundtrack than Nolan's will. Can't top "Batdance".

Co-writing is, of course, American Gladiators from Genesis IV with Mike. Best ever. -
Show Me a Match You're Inordinately Proud Of.

Nothing I'm really inordinately proud of. Maybe my title defense vs. Maddix from April '04. -
John Duran Charlie Matthews (well, close enough). Nice work, Drea.

The Untouchables - 8/10 Great movie. I still can't stand Kevin Costner (you can especially notice his totally lame acting when he shares a scene with Connery or De Niro), and the music was pretty retarded. It was either too epic and swirling or just weird and out of place. The slow-motion shootout in the train station was pretty cool, if not a little ridiculous by the end. Nice save by Andy Garcia. Still, Connery and De Niro were their usual good, and I liked the ending.

Season finale next week? Already? Damn it. Michael: "We're being infiltrated! Cock in the henhouse!" Dwight: "Cocks in the henhouse!" Michael: "Don't say cocks, Dwight."
-
I love the stuff between Jim and Pam. My favorite exchange: "Let's pick teams! Stanley, of course..." "Why 'of course'?" "What do you play, center?" I think Dwight was the MVP again though. The facemask and shirt made it.

I thought it was the other way around. Ryan Smith got beat all the time. ...or so I've heard.

HEY GUYS WHAT'D YOU THINK OF MY SEGMENT PLZ FEEDBACK ME PLZ I NEED FEEDBACK. Even with feedback, Damaramu managed to quickly blow his load. (this is a filler spot for when I finish reading the show and can leave feedback).
-
"Well excuse me if I was too busy on my knees in front of the toilet, Michael!" Oh Tobias, you blowhard.
-
(Tobias shows up at the "blue man group" in paint) "I feel like a fucking idiot."
