  1. Further commentary on Ju-On vs Grudge, I think I'll play devil's advocate and say that the Grudge wasn't much worse. In truth, I didn't like either of them all that much. They're both more affective as a series of individual scenes rather than a plot driven cohesive unit, and the individual scare moments I found to be much the same in either. Ju-On remains better, based on the fact that much of the best stuff was removed for the Grudge, but what remained was comparable, I think. The best part of Ju-On was the sequence where the dude's sister gets it, and that one definitely came off worse in the American version. They took out the distorted woman on tv, that was my favorite part. I found that comic and unsettling at the same time (perhaps one as a result of the other). Also, the part with the zombie schoolgirls reminded me of the "Something to Tide You Over" segment in Creepshow, only less scary. Yes, even though it was Leslie Nielsen and Ted Danson, it was still scarier, that can't be a good sign for Ju-On's scare power.
  2. Were you breastfed as a child?
  3. By the way, Indepedence Day was pretty horrible, but I didn't mind Will in it. His punching the alien and saying "Welcome to Earth." was the kind of over the top absurdity that should have pervaded the whole movie. Then it would have been so bad it was good, like Armageddon. Bad Boys and Men In Black are about the only movies of his I like. I haven't seen Ali either. Oh, I also love Wild Wild West but I know it's terrible, so that doesn't count.
  4. It's right there. Get it yourself, he doesn't have a copyright.
  5. I think I might have heard of that guy, but I've never seen him nor know anything about him. I'd probably fuck him, though, if given the chance.
  6. Why are you paying attention to some bitch?
  7. The fuck you talking about Will Smith being a good actor on Fresh Prince? He moved his damn lips when other people were saying their lines. That bullshit crying stuff he did at the end? I can't believe anybody bought that shit. And he was playing himself. That was some of the worst acting I've seen.
  8. That's a good concept with bad acting. Like Strangeland, but it's a bit better better than that. I eventually got the ending of Ju-On. I didn't watch much of it, but it was one of the features on the dvd that explained it. I can't remember what it was. I think the extended ending with commentary. And something is telling me it wasn't a movie but a tv series? Anyway, it was all arranged very oddly.
  9. There's a thread which prominently includes discussion of Kotz being fat right now.
  10. Yeah, who's Tubby anyway? I don't think any of the mods are slim.
  11. I know who you are. Do you know who I am?
  12. Hm, looks like you've got some hot sauce in your taco. I like that in a filly.
  13. Pomegranate, I believe. Trick Daddy lifted that from Talking Heads, so it's older than you think.
  14. Funnily I was just doing an image search for disco lemonade, which is mentioned in the song called "Sex and Candy", and look what I found:
  15. Oh, I'm sitting here with a big grin on my face. I'm waiting for a job I manage to get back from engineering so you all have filled the time quite nicely. You lie. If you were taking it as a joke, you wouldn't tell people you were, that would ruin the punchline. What you're doing is like walking past a group of young toughs and thinking "I could kick all of thier asses."
  16. I said many of them do, it's not universal. But they do have a similar jawline.
  17. No. I'm the psycho bitch that cuts off your dick, then posts pics of it in LSD to make the ugly fags here cry. They've seen it.

  19. That reminds me, you ever notice how a lot of people named Kurt sort of look like each other? It's more than with other names.
  20. Well, it isn't released yet. Not everyone's album gets bootlegged before street date.
  21. But I haven't been given the death penalty.
  22. You're not fooling anyone. You're not taking this as one big joke.
  23. Hm, not too much unknown. You already know what the movie's about before you watch it. Probably would be about the scariest thing in the world if it actually happened to you, watching it not so much. By that logic, though, no movie is scary. Before you see Halloween, you know it's Michael Myers (or at least know it's a 'boogeyman') Same with Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm St. Before you see The Exorcist, you know it's Satan. And I meant the unknown to the character. Not us, as the viewer. Well yes, but I don't find those movies too scary either. Not having seen this program myself, I assumed they had perhaps cited fear of the unknown in regards to it's presentation to the audience. Your point is valid, in that the unknown is scary, and it's not often utilized in that manner, but it isn't the only thing that's scary. Good example of it's use in a movie, Jeepers Creepers, that's why the first half was pretty good and the second half wasn't.
  24. No, I also liked Real American.
  25. That was the only wrestling theme I ever liked, that and Dude Love. And it's not the type of thing I'd expect to like.
