I watched them all over a couple days on on-demand about a week ago. It's not really supposed to be legit, it just culls a lot of things from experiences they've really had. It's condensed.

I'm now reading a book called Gumbo Ya-Ya, a collection of Louisiana history and folklore. Utterly fascinating.

It is. The original Fog (1980) is rather well known. You shouldn't have a problem finding it again if you're so inclined.

I would agree. Something I like is when a song uses a sample I don't recognize and I then encounter it in it's original context some time later. Mostly bits from movies, I'm talking about. The highest volume from one source when I watched Last Tango in Paris, as it turns out Marilyn Manson had lifted tons of dialogue from it on his first album. I pick up stuff the Thrill Kill Kult has used all the time, they're some sampling motherfuckers. It's like the prize in a box of cracker jacks.

It's about the only porn I can watch all the way through for it's non stroke merits. Maybe Taboo. I've never seen the other ones, nor the new ones actually.

I don't mind dates on moves in Japan, but I don't like it when other people do it, because it comes off like them trying to act Japanese. Low Ki for example, who tries to act Japanese in many ways. He irritates me by doing that and also by (though I've by no means closely followed his career) seemingly never losing. I've seen several of his matches and he lost once, after getting cracked in the dome with a ball bat. I'm sure he has his share of losses, but it comes off that way when you're not into the scene. He also looks like a monkey and talks with a ridiculous voice.

I love that movie.

Carlin can suck my dick cause he's a hippy asshole, but at his best he's pretty damn good. Even though I usually dislike everything about his style when I see it in other people, my favorite comic is Cosby and I will call him the best ever. He's black, but he doesn't use the traditional black comic style, so I don't know.

I tell you, being the worst kind of mark is really fun. I'm too old for it now anyway, but I do get wistful for my wrestling innocence. More stuff from that period: Went over to a friend's house, they had had a filing cabinet delivered and the box was sitting in the yard, it's a big box, like 6 feet tall. With no preamble, I give the box a spear and jackhammer. Got into a HUGE argument with this guy on the wrestling team at school about amateur vs pro wrestling. Eventually settled by stepping outside for a practical styles clash, where I made him cry in the Steiner Recliner. It was commonly believed that ECW was 100% real and people had died there. One guy honestly claimed to not know that Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack were the same person. Kane was a Mortis rip off.

I think It is a generally shitty movie with an excellent performance from Tim Curry. It's the best example I know of one guy totally making an entire movie worthwhile. I remember it was a big deal when it was new, there were bits on the news about whether you should let your kids watch it, and it was all we talked about at school the next day, even admitting to being scared shitless, which you know is not usually done. The part where It gets shot with a sling shot and does a triple flip before falling into the drain and becoming a squid was commonly held to be hilarious, however.

I knew a kid said Taker and Kane were really brothers. I said they weren't, but he said he knew they were because his uncle was friends with the Taker and once time he went over to his house and Kane was there and they rode four wheelers. Kane supposedly wore his mask the whole time. This is funnier cause this kid's uncle was in the high 400 pound range, and there's no way he'd be riding a damn four wheeler. I used to have wild wrestling conversations in this spanish class in high school. People would call X-Pac "Ten Pac" and say that Kurrgan's finisher was the sharpshooter, and that Sable was Sabu's sister. Some people didn't know who he was, so I drew a picture of Sabu on the chalkboard. I said my favorite wrestler was Glacier, and would argue at length about whether Yokozuna ever did a 450, which usually denigrated to putting each other in the texas cloverleaf when the teacher stepped outside. Those were good times.

Speaking from personal experience, it's very difficult for me to buy into the heel/face dynamic and I usually prefer the heels anyway. About the only people to get true heel heat from me were Vince and Shane. Good job, guys.

Steal candy bars. Nobody cares.

Oh, I watched Identity a couple days ago. Guessed the first twist during the opening credits there. Was off on the second twist. I rather liked it anyway. Speaking of the double twist, you know what movie is good? Devil's Advocate. Pacino was chewing up scenery and shitting it out. Keanu Reeves is probably the worst actor who still manages to be in a majority of movies I like. I'm not sure if the end of that is well known or not.

I honestly never guessed that Bruce Willis was dead. I don't know what happened, I'm usually good at picking stuff like that up. I knew the ending of The Others quite literally five minutes into it, and I watched that on a recommendation without seeing so much as a trailer or knowing anything about it. My record is Unbreakable which I guessed about two seconds in. The opening card about comic books gave it away. It's still the only M. Night movie I particularly like.

Frank Zappa is one of the few remaining well known and highly praised artists I have virtually no experience with, largely due to the question of where to begin. I shall acquire Freak Out and Sheik Yerbouti directly. Any input on Jazz From Hell? It seems like a concept I'd like. Yeah, every sports movie. I loved it in Kingpin when he lost to Big Ern, didn't see that one coming. I think I like that movie even more than Big Lebowski.

Well, for tv I'd think it being a cookbook in the TZ is up there. Psycho's surprise ending is nearly as well known as the shower scene.

I was thinking of starting a topic like this myself. The Whisper in the Wind I have to say is the absolute worst. Plus it's a corkscrew moonsault. I don't like renaming moves that already have a well established, generic name, especially when it's not your primary finisher. I got used to it, but I initially thought the Last Ride was a terrible name, so it probably is. The Lo Down/Sky High for being miscalled practically every time. I like The Corporate Elbow better than The People's Elbow. Clothesline From Hell only works with what a clothesline is already established. It's a crazy combination of words. Chris Jericho has had all lion references stripped away, so Lionsault no longer makes sense. I didn't like that every suplex Taz did became a Whatever Tazplex. Many Japanese moves are pretty out there, but somewhat cool in that insane Japanese way. Miracle Ecstasy is probably my favorite one. There's a move in the Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter game called Ultra Variety Private Memories. I wish a Japanese wrestler would use that name. I do love the Moss Covered Three Handled Family Greundza. Non Sequitur Saturn is probably my second favorite wrestling character ever, after heel Steve Austin. That time he yelled "D-Von! Get the muffins!", oh man that was great.

I had that 8 or 10 years ago and didn't like it. My tastes have refined since then, maybe I should try again. You know who I like from back then? Live. I just looked them up on allmusic, and I pretty much hate all the bands in the similar artists section. Guess they got lucky. The blonde fellow from Silverchair most turned me gay though, I must say.

I just couldn't buy Bill Pullman as the president at all.
