I've yet to see a match in the six-sided ring that wouldn't have been the same quality as in the traditional four-sided ring.

Top Three Most Played Albums in Recent Weeks

I FINALLY FOUND FOZZY'S NEW ALL-ORIGINALS ALBUM! It's pretty good. A few tracks leave a lot to be desired, especially after the promise that the originals off of Happenstance showed, particularly "To Kill A Stranger." "Born Of Anger," "Lazarus," and "Enemy" are my favorite tunes at the current moment off of it.

My Dying Bride are one of the bigger doom bands, I'd say. Type O Negative could also probably be considered doom, but I've always considered them more of a blend of goth and punk. Solitude Aeturnus is a power/doom hybrid that is pretty decent, as the music is good but the vocals just don't fit, and the lyrics are shit. Adding another one: HARDCORE KIDS "Hey man, if you don't like Hatebreed, you're a fucking pussy." Maybe it's just because I used to play in a band whose vocalist said that to me all the time, and then would tell me I'm doing a good job when I play a Cannibal Corpse riff (the only one of which I can play is the breakdown to "Hammer Smashed Face"), but fuckers that seem to think heavy music is all about simplicity and downtuning and distortion piss the shit out of me. And people that refuse to listen to Fozzy because it's fronted by Chris Jericho. And these are people that like(d) Stuck Mojo, too, so when I try to tell them that it's just Stuck Mojo with clean vocals, they get mad and make me listen to more Staind. Man I hate my friend Drew.

We also need fodder for the living dead, the Infected, and the Demons. So bring in Lt. Rhodes and Sgt. Steele and Helen Cooper and Flyboy, the Colonel from 28DL and his troops, and Suicide and Trash and Scuz and Freddy. And we also need a good chunk of King Arthur's subjects and Henry the Red's people, and some random ho that put the wrong fucking mask on. There, that should cover our bases.

True, it is a refreshing change. And, like I said, it's very well-written. Kudos, lad.

People who think all of heavy metal is like Slipknot, especially when Slipknot themselves aren't a metal band. **waits for somebody to say "people who are elitist about their favorite style"**
-
No, but it is a very fucking good movie, and one of the best comic book movies ever made, especially since it stuck INCREDIBLY close to the source material.

Which would be fine and dandy if wrestling wasn't, you know...fake. Of course. One of the best politicians in the industry wants to be mentioned in the same breath as one of the best wrestlers in the industry. It's only natural. Not really, because his critics are dead right when they say he's an egotistical, backstaging, politic'ing prick without much in-ring talent. With little fanfare. Once because it was to tease the option of putting the belt on Brown to make fans want it that much more, and the second time because Dusty Rhodes decided - at the last minute, mind you, and against the booking wishes of everybody else - that Brown wasn't ready for the title. Only two people in that list of four would be believable in the main event, with those two being Abyss and AJ Styles. Jeff Hardy has many fans soured because of his limited in-ring ability, and Chris Harris sucks. I agree 100%. The bookers need to figure out what the fuck they're doing with Killings, as here is a man with potential crossover appeal to help bring more fans to TNA (face it: Truth is flat-out COOL and could connect to a whole shitload of younger fans, especially those from urban areas) instead of just floating him between singles feuds and tagging with those two suckbags in 3LK. How? Jarrett is average-at-best in the ring, and Nash is the drizzling shits. NASH HAS NOT HAD A GOOD MATCH SINCE 1997. Jarrett has NEVER had a match above what I and many others would consider ***1/2. He's not capable of it because he resorts to the same old tired match formula instead of trying something new. Who later went on to become the WWF's lowest drawing champion in history. Which isn't a good thing, because that one match destroyed Goldberg's career. By "on form," do you mean "politic'ing bastard"? Aren't Nash and Jarrett allies in the Kings of Wrestling stable? WHAT SENSE DOES IT MAKE FOR NASH TO GO FOR THE GOLD?! Only because he hasn't torn his quad yet. Because, thankfully, Dusty realizes how shitty he is in the ring, and doesn't want him wrestling until he absolutely has to. This is the one time I want Jarrett to retain. Nash as NWA champion would be worse than Hardy, because at least Hardy still can bump. Overall, this is a very well-written article, but it unless you plan on sending it into a kayfabed magazine or putting it onto a kayfabe'd site, it won't get much credit. I do give you your props for at least attempting something different, and for a second I thought this was actually on a TNA press release before I saw that there was no credit given in your post.

And I smoke because I attempt tbe cool, but continue failing at it.

Rental. I thought it was decent, but not in the same league as some of the superb comic movies (X2, The Crow, etc.).

So two wrestlers known throughout the business as backstage cancers that haven't done shit since 1997 that affected any company in any sort of positive manner get paid the most in Hall and Nash, while wrestlers that have been busting their asses since day one and have been among the most over on the whole roster, even going so far as to main event a large portion of TNA's show, don't in AJ Styles? What the FUCK? Re: "Dark Green" and "Dark Match" Man, if BG and Konnan were only announcers or non-wrestling characters, I would love 3LK so much...

At least you fucks aren't buried in by 2 1/2 feet on snow by your front door. I was supposed to work this morning, wasn't happening, so now I'm stuck awake and can't fall back asleep, even though I got less than 5 hours last night. "Call in to see if we're open" my ass.

So...what are YOU doing during the blizzard?

Siiting here with a can of Pringles. Snow sucks. I could be out buying butts right now, which I need, but NOOOO. Nature has to SUUUUUCK. -
Rob Zombie's lastest horror flick
Corey_Lazarus replied to Swift Terror's topic in Television & Film
Rob's music serves its purpose. It's fun party rock with a slightly sinister aura around it. It's perfect for horror flicks, which is what Rob aims for, so, like I said, it serves its purpose. That, and despite the shitty quality of Rob's solo work, his live show is amazing. -
...they drag Antonio Thomas away from NECW, where he was getting a main event push and putting on very, VERY solid matches each event, and was the most over heel on the roster next to Michael Sain...and they give him the fag gimmick. Cornette, you can do better. Also, Fro: Don't you think Thomas looks like a more well-built Randy Orton?

Well, the World title is only defended once or twice a month, and the X-Division title as well, and the Tag belts are rarely ever defended on Impact in a match that goes longer than 5 minutes...so there ya go. Cut down on some of the commercial time for Impact (since you're watching the show, and thus don't need to know when it's on each week, or who's in TNA already), and bam! Another 5-10 minutes for a match.

Rob Zombie's lastest horror flick
Corey_Lazarus replied to Swift Terror's topic in Television & Film
Nah. I'd say that the best thing, outside of Bill Mosely being the fucking man as Otis, would be the soundtrack. -
Doesn't Dusty Rhodes have one? I remember during the Rhodes/Lawler-Flair-Watts feud in TNA over the NWA title that Ric Flair had at his house (that David Flair stole from him, and brought to TNA) that the 'net reports said the belt was Dusty's, since I doubt Ric would let TNA use his copy. And I agree with having the World champion in TNA travel more, Dale. Even though I didn't like Jarrett much, I'll admit that his first reign was very, VERY good (up until Destiny), and part of what made it work so well was the clips of Jarrett defending it in Australia for WWA, defending it in Japan, Mexico, Europe, etc. I think I've heard of two non-TNA defenses of the title since Jarrett's second reign began, one of which was in AAA over Latin Lover (which I believe caused a riot, or something very close to a riot), and the other in Japan (when Jarrett attacked Hogan).

I bet TNA is happy that most of the "worst" categories featured a choice or two from them in high rankings. -
Alexis is, hopefully, still awesome.

Stone Cold Steve Austin & Vince McMahon.
Corey_Lazarus replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
To be fair, Doom will be a blockbuster because it's the movie version of one of the most popular video games EVER. Also, The Rundown was awesome, way better than any of the action flicks that have come out after Speed, so don't group it in with the mindless action flicks that come out all the time. -
And Jerry wasn't even The Misfits' first bassist. Funny, eh? And InsanityMan, it's something of a joke to IDRM, because I'd post a response with a story from my life, and he'd call me a liar either because it contradicts something else I'd said, or because it didn't seem likely to happen.
