When playing my Madden '04 franchise mode I always scout the other team and see who's injured and scope out their depth chart. There have been a few times when finding out who the worse kick returner, or discovering a 90-rated receiver is actually the third wideout made a difference in my gameplan. If a team has a great LB core but poor CBs, I play more 4 WR formations, and vice versa...
